1 യിരെമ്യാ പ്രവാചകന്റെ പുസ്തകം
2 ബെന്യാമീന്‍ ദേശത്തു അനാഥോത്തിലെ പുരോഹിതന്മാരില്‍ ഹില്‍ക്കീയാവിന്റെ മകനായ യിരെമ്യാവിന്റെ വചനങ്ങള്‍.
3 അവന്നു യെഹൂദാരാജാവായി ആമോന്റെ മകനായ യോശീയാവിന്റെ കാലത്തു, അവന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ പതിമൂന്നാം ആണ്ടില്‍, യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായി.
4 യെഹൂദാരാജാവായി യോശീയാവിന്റെ മകനായ യെഹോയാക്കീമിന്റെ കാലത്തും യെഹൂദാരാജാവായി യോശീയാവിന്റെ മകനായ സിദെക്കീയാവിന്റെ പതിനൊന്നാം ആണ്ടിന്റെ അവസാനംവരെയും അഞ്ചാം മാസത്തില്‍ യെരൂശലേമ്യരെ പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയതുവരെയും തന്നേ അങ്ങനെ ഉണ്ടായി.
5 യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്‍
6 നിന്നെ ഉദരത്തില്‍ ഉരുവാക്കിയതിന്നു മുമ്പെ ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ അറിഞ്ഞു; നീ ഗര്‍ഭപാത്രത്തില്‍നിന്നു പുറത്തു വന്നതിന്നു മുമ്പെ ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു, ജാതികള്‍ക്കു പ്രവാചകനായി നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
7 എന്നാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ അയ്യോ, യഹോവയായ കര്‍ത്താവേ, എനിക്കു സംസാരിപ്പാന്‍ അറിഞ്ഞുകൂടാ; ഞാന്‍ ബാലനല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
8 അതിന്നു യഹോവ എന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുഞാന്‍ ബാലന്‍ എന്നു നീ പറയരുതു; ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ അയക്കുന്ന ഏവരുടെയും അടുക്കല്‍ നീ പോകയും ഞാന്‍ നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും സംസാരിക്കയും വേണം.
9 നീ അവരെ ഭയപ്പെടരുതു; നിന്നെ വിടുവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടെന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
10 പിന്നെ യഹോവ കൈ നീട്ടി എന്റെ വായെ തൊട്ടുഞാന്‍ എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ നിന്റെ വായില്‍ തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു;
11 നോക്കുക; നിര്‍മ്മൂലമാക്കുവാനും പൊളിപ്പാനും നശിപ്പിപ്പാനും ഇടിച്ചുകളവാനും പണിവാനും നടുവാനുംവേണ്ടി ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ ഇന്നു ജാതികളുടെമേലും രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെമേലും ആക്കിവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചു.
12 യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായിയിരെമ്യാവേ, നീ എന്തു കാണുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. ബദാം (ജാഗ്രത്) വൃക്ഷത്തിന്റെ ഒരു കൊമ്പു കാണുന്നു എന്നു ഞാന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
13 യഹോവ എന്നോടുനീ കണ്ടതു ശരി തന്നേ; എന്റെ വചനം നിവര്‍ത്തിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന്‍ ജാഗരിച്ചുകൊള്ളും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
14 യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു രണ്ടാം പ്രാവശ്യം എനിക്കുണ്ടായിനീ എന്തു കാണുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. തിളെക്കുന്ന ഒരു കാലം കാണുന്നു. അതു വടക്കുനിന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷമായി വരുന്നു എന്നു ഞാന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
15 യഹോവ എന്നോടുവടക്കുനിന്നു ദേശത്തിലെ സര്‍വ്വനിവാസികള്‍ക്കും അനര്‍ത്ഥം വരും.
16 ഞാന്‍ വടക്കെ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ വംശങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും വിളിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; അവര്‍ വന്നു, ഔരോരുത്തന്‍ താന്താന്റെ സിംഹാസനം യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ പടിവാതിലുകളുടെ പ്രവേശനത്തിങ്കലും ചുറ്റും അതിന്റെ എല്ലാ മതിലുകള്‍ക്കും നേരെയും യെഹൂദയിലെ എല്ലാപട്ടണങ്ങള്‍ക്കും നേരെയും വേക്കും.
17 അവര്‍ എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയും അന്യദേവന്മാര്‍ക്കും ധൂപം കാട്ടി തങ്ങളുടെ കൈപ്പണികളെ നമസ്കരിക്കയും ചെയ്ത സകലദോഷത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു ഞാന്‍ അവരോടു ന്യായപദം കഴിക്കും.
18 ആകയാല്‍ നീ അരകെട്ടി എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഞാന്‍ നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും അവരോടു പ്രസ്താവിക്ക; ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ അവരുടെ മുമ്പില്‍ ഭ്രമിപ്പിക്കാതെ ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ അവരെ കണ്ടു ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോകരുതു.
19 ഞാന്‍ ഇന്നു നിന്നെ സര്‍വ്വദേശത്തിന്നും യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാര്‍ക്കും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര്‍ക്കും പുരോഹിതന്മാര്‍ക്കും ദേശത്തിലെ ജനത്തിന്നും നേരെ ഉറപ്പുള്ളോരു പട്ടണവും ഇരിമ്പുതൂണും താമ്രമതിലുകളും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
20 അവര്‍ നിന്നോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യും; നിന്നെ ജയിക്കയില്ലതാനും; നിന്നെ രക്ഷിപ്പാന്‍ ഞാന്‍ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

5 Before H2962 I formed H3335 thee in the belly H990 I knew H3045 thee ; and before H2962 thou camest forth H3318 out of the womb H4480 H7358 I sanctified H6942 thee, and I ordained H5414 thee a prophet H5030 unto the nations. H1471

7 But the LORD H3068 said H559 unto H413 me, Say H559 not, H408 I H595 am a child: H5288 for H3588 thou shalt go H1980 to H5921 all H3605 that H834 I shall send H7971 thee , and whatsoever H3605 H834 I command H6680 thee thou shalt speak. H1696
8 Be not H408 afraid H3372 of their faces H4480 H6440 : for H3588 I H589 am with H854 thee to deliver H5337 thee, saith H5002 the LORD. H3068

10 See H7200 , I have this H2088 day H3117 set H6485 thee over H5921 the nations H1471 and over H5921 the kingdoms, H4467 to root out, H5428 and to pull down, H5422 and to destroy, H6 and to throw down, H2040 to build, H1129 and to plant. H5193
11 Moreover the word H1697 of the LORD H3068 came H1961 unto H413 me, saying, H559 Jeremiah, H3414 what H4100 seest H7200 thou H859 ? And I said, H559 I H589 see H7200 a rod H4731 of an almond tree. H8247
12 Then said H559 the LORD H3068 unto H413 me , Thou hast well H3190 seen: H7200 for H3588 I H589 will hasten H8245 H5921 my word H1697 to perform H6213 it.
13 And the word H1697 of the LORD H3068 came H1961 unto H413 me the second time, H8145 saying, H559 What H4100 seest H7200 thou H859 ? And I said, H559 I H589 see H7200 a seething H5301 pot; H5518 and the face H6440 thereof is toward H4480 H6440 the north. H6828
14 Then the LORD H3068 said H559 unto H413 me , Out of the north H4480 H6828 an evil H7451 shall break forth H6605 upon H5921 all H3605 the inhabitants H3427 of the land. H776
15 For H3588 , lo, H2009 I will call H7121 all H3605 the families H4940 of the kingdoms H4467 of the north, H6828 saith H5002 the LORD; H3068 and they shall come, H935 and they shall set H5414 every one H376 his throne H3678 at the entering H6607 of the gates H8179 of Jerusalem, H3389 and against H5921 all H3605 the walls H2346 thereof round about, H5439 and against H5921 all H3605 the cities H5892 of Judah. 18 For H589 , behold, H2009 I have made H5414 thee this day H3117 a defensed H4013 city, H5892 and an iron H1270 pillar, H5982 and brazen H5178 walls H2346 against H5921 the whole H3605 land, H776 against the kings H4428 of Judah, H3063 against the princes H8269 thereof , against the priests H3548 thereof , and against the people H5971 of the land. 19 And they shall fight H3898 against H413 thee ; but they shall not H3808 prevail H3201 against thee; for H3588 I H589 am with H854 thee, saith H5002 the LORD, H3068 to deliver H5337 thee.
