2 നീ രേഖാബ്യഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ ചെന്നു അവരോടു സംസാരിച്ചു അവരെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ഒരു മുറിയില്‍ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു അവര്‍ക്കും വീഞ്ഞുകുടിപ്പാന്‍ കൊടുക്ക.

3 അങ്ങനെ ഞാന്‍ ഹബസിന്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ യിരെമ്യാവിന്റെ മകന്‍ യയസന്യാവെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെയും അവന്റെ സകലപുത്രന്മാരെയും രേഖാബ്യഗൃഹം മുഴുവനെയും കൂട്ടി

4 യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില്‍ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ മുറിക്കരികെ ശല്ലൂമിന്റെ മകനായ വാതില്‍ കാവല്‍ക്കാരന്‍ മയസേയാവിന്റെ മുറിക്കു മീതെ ഇഗ്ദല്യാവിന്റെ മകനും ദൈവപുരുഷനുമായ ഹാനാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ മുറിയില്‍ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

5 പിന്നെ ഞാന്‍ , രേഖാബ്യഗൃഹക്കാരുടെ മുമ്പില്‍ വീഞ്ഞു നിറെച്ച കുടങ്ങളും പാനപാത്രങ്ങളും വെച്ചു അവരോടുവീഞ്ഞു കുടിപ്പിന്‍ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

6 അതിന്നു അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞതുഞങ്ങള്‍ വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കയില്ല; രേഖാബിന്റെ മകനായി ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ യോനാദാബ് ഞങ്ങളോടുനിങ്ങള്‍ ചെന്നു പാര്‍ക്കുംന്ന ദേശത്തു ദീര്‍ഘയുസ്സോടെ ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു

7 നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളും ഒരിക്കലും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കരുതു; വീടു പണിയരുതു; വിത്തു വിതെക്കരുതു; മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം ഉണ്ടാക്കരുതു; ഈവക ഒന്നും നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കുണ്ടാകയുമരുതു; നിങ്ങള്‍ ജീവപര്യന്തം കൂടാരങ്ങളില്‍ പാര്‍ക്കേണം എന്നിങ്ങനെ കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

8 അങ്ങനെ ഞങ്ങളും ഭാര്യമാരും പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും ഞങ്ങളുടെ ജീവകാലത്തൊരിക്കലും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കയോ

9 പാര്‍പ്പാന്‍ വീടു പണികയോ ചെയ്യാതെ രേഖാബിന്റെ മകനായി ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ യോനാദാബ് ഞങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ച സകലത്തിലും അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചുവരുന്നു; ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടവും വയലും വിത്തും ഇല്ല.

10 ഞങ്ങള്‍ കൂടാരങ്ങളില്‍ പാര്‍ത്തു, ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ യോനാദാബ് ഞങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നു.

11 എന്നാല്‍ ബാബേല്‍രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസര്‍ ദേശത്തെ ആക്രമിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍വരുവിന്‍ കല്ദയരുടെ സൈന്യത്തിന്റെയും അരാമ്യരുടെ സൈന്യത്തിന്റെയും മുമ്പില്‍നിന്നു നമുക്കു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു പോയ്ക്കളയാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അങ്ങനെ ഞങ്ങള്‍ യെരൂശലേമില്‍ പാര്‍ത്തുവരുന്നു.

12 അപ്പോള്‍ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്‍

13 യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനീ ചെന്നു യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരോടും യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളോടും പറയേണ്ടതുഎന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ അനുസരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങള്‍ പ്രബോധനം കൈാക്കൊള്ളുന്നില്ലയോ? എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

14 രേഖാബിന്റെ മകനായ യോനാദാബ് തന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോടു വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കരുതെന്നു കല്പിച്ചതു അവര്‍ നിവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നു; അവര്‍ പിതാവിന്റെ കല്പന പ്രമാണിച്ചു ഇന്നുവരെ കുടിക്കാതെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ ഇടവിടാതെ നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടും നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ അനുസരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.

15 നിങ്ങള്‍ ഔരോരുത്തന്‍ താന്താന്റെ ദുര്‍മ്മാര്‍ഗ്ഗം വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ നന്നാക്കുവിന്‍ ; അന്യദേവന്മാരോടു ചേര്‍ന്നു അവരെ സേവിക്കരുതു; അപ്പോള്‍ ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര്‍ക്കും തന്ന ദേശത്തു നിങ്ങള്‍ള്‍ വസിക്കുമെന്നിങ്ങനെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരായ എന്റെ സകലദാസന്മാരെയും ഞാന്‍ ഇടവിടാതെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ അയച്ചു പറയിച്ചിട്ടും നിങ്ങള്‍ ചെവി ചായിക്കയോ എന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിക്കയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല.

16 രേഖാബിന്റെ മകനായ യോനാദാബിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്‍ അവരുടെ പിതാവു കല്പിച്ച കല്പന പ്രമാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഈ ജനമോ, എന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.

17 അതുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായി സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന്‍ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടും അവര്‍ കേള്‍ക്കയോ വിളിച്ചിട്ടും അവര്‍ ഉത്തരം പറകയോ ചെയ്യായ്കകൊണ്ടു, ഞാന്‍ യെഹൂദയുടെ മേലും യെരൂശലേമിലെ സകലനിവാസികളുടെ മേലും ഞാന്‍ അവര്‍ക്കും വിധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന അനര്‍ത്ഥമൊക്കെയും വരുത്തും.

18 പിന്നെ യിരെമ്യാവു രേഖാബ്യഗൃഹത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞതുയിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. നിങ്ങള്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ യോനാദാബിന്റെ കല്പന പ്രാണിച്ചു അവന്റെ ആജ്ഞയൊക്കെയും അനുസരിച്ചു അവന്‍ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു,

19 എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്പാന്‍ രേഖാബിന്റെ മകനായ യോനാദാബിന്നു ഒരു പുരുഷന്‍ ഒരിക്കലും ഇല്ലാതെ വരികയില്ല എന്നു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

9 That every man ^H376 should let ^H853 his manservant, ^H5650 and every man ^H376 ^H853 his maidservant, ^H8198 being a Hebrew ^H5680 or a Hebrewess, ^H5680 go ^H7971 free; ^H2670 that none ^H1115 ^H376 should serve ^H5647 himself of them, to wit , of a Jew ^H3064 his brother. ^H251

20 I will even give ^H5414 them into the hand ^H3027 of their enemies, ^H341 and into the hand ^H3027 of them that seek ^H1245 their life: ^H5315 and their dead bodies ^H5038 shall be ^H1961 for meat ^H3978 unto the fowls ^H5775 of the heaven, ^H8064 and to the beasts ^H929 of the earth. ^H776

21 And Zedekiah ^H6667 king ^H4428 of Judah ^H3063 and his princes ^H8269 will I give ^H5414 into the hand ^H3027 of their enemies, ^H341 and into the hand ^H3027 of them that seek ^H1245 their life, ^H5315 and into the hand ^H3027 of the king ^H4428 of Babylon's ^H894 army, ^H2428 which are gone up ^H5927 from ^H4480 ^H5921 you.

22 Behold ^H2009 , I will command, ^H6680 saith ^H5002 the LORD, ^H3068 and cause them to return ^H7725 to ^H413 this ^H2063 city; ^H5892 and they shall fight ^H3898 against ^H5921 it , and take ^H3920 it , and burn ^H8313 it with fire: ^H784 and I will make ^H5414 the cities ^H5892 of Judah ^H3063 a desolation ^H8077 without ^H4480 ^H369 an inhabitant. ^H3427
