1 സര്‍വ്വശക്തന്‍ ശിക്ഷാസമയങ്ങളെ നിയമിക്കാത്തതും അവന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാര്‍ അവന്റെ വിസ്താര ദിവസങ്ങളെ കാണാതിരിക്കുന്നതും എന്തു?
2 ചിലര്‍ അതിരുകളെ മാറ്റുന്നു; ചിലര്‍ ആട്ടിന്‍ കൂട്ടത്തെ കവര്‍ന്നു കൊണ്ടുപോയി മേയക്കുന്നു.
3 ചിലര്‍ അനാഥന്മാരുടെ കഴുതയെ കൊണ്ടു പൊയ്ക്കളയുന്നു; ചിലര്‍ വിധവയുടെ കാളയെ പണയംവാങ്ങുന്നു.
4 ചിലര്‍ സാധുക്കളെ വഴി തെറ്റിക്കുന്നു; ദേശത്തെ എളിയവര്‍ ഒരുപോലെ ഒളിച്ചുകൊള്ളുന്നു.
5 അവര്‍ മരുഭൂമിയിലെ കാട്ടുകഴുതകളെപ്പോലെ ഇര തേടി വേലെക്കു പുറപ്പെടുന്നു; ശൂന്യപ്രദേശം മക്കള്‍ക്കു വേണ്ടി അവര്‍ക്കും ആഹാരം.
6 അവര്‍ വയലില്‍ അന്യന്റെ പയറ് പറിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തില്‍ കാലാ പെറുക്കുന്നു.
7 അവര്‍ വസ്ത്രമില്ലാതെ നഗ്നരായി രാത്രി കഴിച്ചുകൂട്ടുന്നു; കുളിരില്‍ അവര്‍ക്കും പുതപ്പും ഇല്ല.
8 അവര്‍ മലകളില്‍ മഴ നനയുന്നു; മറവിടം ഇല്ലായ്കയാല്‍ അവര്‍ പാറയെ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു.
9 ചിലര്‍ മുലകുടിക്കുന്ന അനാഥകൂട്ടികളെ അപഹരിക്കുന്നു; ചിലര്‍ ദരിദ്രനോടു പണയം വാങ്ങുന്നു.
10 അവര്‍ വസ്ത്രം കൂടാതെ നഗ്നരായി നടക്കുന്നു; പട്ടിണി കിടന്നുകൊണ്ടു കറ്റ ചുമക്കുന്നു.
11 അന്യരുടെ മതിലുകള്‍ക്കകത്തു അവര്‍ ചക്കാട്ടുന്നു; മുന്തരിച്ചകൂ ചവിട്ടുകയും ദാഹിച്ചിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
12 പട്ടണത്തില്‍ ആളുകള്‍ ഞരങ്ങുന്നു; പട്ടുപോയവരുടെ പ്രാണന്‍ നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്നോ അതില്‍ നീരസം തോന്നുന്നില്ല.
13 ഇവര്‍ വെളിച്ചത്തോടു മത്സരിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ വഴികളെ അറിയുന്നില്ല; അതിന്റെ പാതകളില്‍ നടക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
14 കുലപാതകന്‍ രാവിലെ എഴുന്നേലക്കുന്നു; ദരിദ്രനെയും എളിയവനെയും കൊല്ലുന്നു; രാത്രിയില്‍ കള്ളനായി നടക്കുന്നു.
15 വ്യഭിചാരിയുടെ കണ്ണു അസ്തമാനം കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്‍ മുഖം മറെച്ചു നടന്നു ഒരു കണ്ണും എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നു.
16 ചിലര്‍ ഇരുട്ടത്തു വീടു തുരന്നു കയറുന്നു; പകല്‍ അവര്‍ വാതില്‍ അടെച്ചു പാര്‍ക്കുംന്നു; വെളിച്ചത്തു ഇറങ്ങുന്നതുമില്ല.
17 പ്രഭാതം അവര്‍ക്കൊക്കെയും അന്ധതമസ്സു തന്നേ; അന്ധതമസ്സിന്റെ ഘോരത്വങ്ങള്‍ അവര്‍ക്കും പരിചയമുണ്ടല്ലോ.
18 വെള്ളത്തിന്മേല്‍ അവര്‍ വേഗത്തില്‍ പൊയ്പോകുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഔഹരി ഭൂമിയില്‍ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളുടെ വഴിക്കു അവര്‍ തിരിയുന്നില്ല.
19 ഹിമജലം വരള്‍ച്ചെക്കും ഉഷ്ണത്തിന്നും പാപം ചെയ്തവന്‍ പാതാളത്തിന്നും ഇരയാകുന്നു.
20 ഗര്‍ഭപാത്രം അവനെ മറന്നുകളയും; കൃമി അവനെ തിന്നു രസിക്കും; പിന്നെ ആരും അവനെ ഔര്‍ക്കയില്ല; നീതികേടു ഒരു വൃക്ഷംപോലെ തകര്‍ന്നു പോകും.
21 പ്രസവിക്കാത്ത മച്ചിയെ അവന്‍ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളയുന്നു; വിധവേക്കു നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നതുമില്ല.
22 അവന്‍ തന്റെ ശക്തിയാല്‍ നിഷ്കണ്ടകന്മാരെ നിലനിലക്കുമാറാക്കുന്നു; ജീവനെക്കുറിച്ചു നിരാശപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കെ അവര്‍ എഴുന്നേലക്കുന്നു.
23 അവന്‍ അവര്‍ക്കും നിര്‍ഭയവാസം നലകുന്നു; അവര്‍ ഉറെച്ചുനിലക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടി അവരുടെ വഴികളിന്മേല്‍ ഉണ്ടു.
24 അവര്‍ ഉയര്‍ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; കുറെകഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടോ അവര്‍ ഇല്ല; അവരെ താഴ്ത്തി മറ്റെല്ലാവരെയുംപോലെ നീക്കിക്കളയുന്നു; കതിരുകളുടെ തലപോലെ അവരെ അറുക്കുന്നു.
25 ഇങ്ങനെയല്ലെങ്കില്‍ എന്നെ കള്ളനാക്കുകയും എന്റെ വാക്കു ഖണ്ഡിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന്‍ ആര്‍?
