1 അങ്ങനെ ഇയ്യോബ് തനിക്കുതന്നേ നീതിമാനായ്തോന്നിയതുകൊണ്ടു ഈ മൂന്നു പുരുഷന്മാര്‍ അവനോടു വാദിക്കുന്നതു മതിയാക്കി.
2 അപ്പോള്‍ രാംവംശത്തില്‍ ബൂസ്യനായ ബറഖേലിന്റെ മകന്‍ എലീഹൂവിന്റെ കോപം ജ്വലിച്ചു; ദൈവത്തെക്കാള്‍ തന്നെത്താന്‍ നീതീകരിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു ഇയ്യോബിന്റെ നേരെ അവന്റെ കോപം ജ്വലിച്ചു.
3 അവന്റെ മൂന്നു സ്നേഹിതന്മാര്‍ ഇയ്യോബിന്റെ കുറ്റം തെളിയിപ്പാന്‍ തക്ക ഉത്തരം കാണായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവരുടെ നേരെയും അവന്റെ കോപം ജ്വലിച്ചു.
4 എന്നാല്‍ അവര്‍ തന്നെക്കാള്‍ പ്രായമുള്ളവരാകകൊണ്ടു എലീഹൂ ഇയ്യോബിനോടു സംസാരിപ്പാന്‍ താമസിച്ചു.
5 ആ മൂന്നു പുരുഷന്മാര്‍ക്കും ഉത്തരം മുട്ടിപ്പോയി എന്നു കണ്ടിട്ടു എലീഹൂവിന്റെ കോപം ജ്വലിച്ചു.
6 അങ്ങനെ ബൂസ്യനായ ബറഖേലിന്റെ മകന്‍ എലീഹൂ പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്‍ഞാന്‍ പ്രായം കുറഞ്ഞവനും നിങ്ങള്‍ വൃദ്ധന്മാരും ആകുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന്‍ ശങ്കിച്ചു, അഭിപ്രായം പറവാന്‍ തുനിഞ്ഞില്ല.
7 പ്രായം സംസാരിക്കയും വയോധിക്യം ജ്ഞാനം ഉപദേശിക്കയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഞാന്‍ വിചാരിച്ചു.
8 എന്നാല്‍ മനുഷ്യരില്‍ ആത്മാവുണ്ടല്ലോ; സര്‍വ്വശക്തന്റെ ശ്വാസം അവര്‍ക്കും വിവേകം നലകുന്നു.
9 പ്രായം ചെന്നവരത്രേ ജ്ഞാനികള്‍ എന്നില്ല; വൃദ്ധന്മാരത്രേ ന്യായബോധമുള്ളവര്‍ എന്നുമില്ല.
10 അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന്‍ പറയുന്നതുഎന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടുകൊള്‍വിന്‍ ; ഞാനും എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായം പ്രസ്താവിക്കാം.
11 ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കു ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; നിങ്ങള്‍ തക്ക മൊഴികള്‍ ആരാഞ്ഞു കണ്ടെത്തുമോ എന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉപദേശങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ഞാന്‍ ചെവികൊടുത്തു.
12 നിങ്ങള്‍ പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു ഞാന്‍ ശ്രദ്ധകൊടുത്തു; ഇയ്യോബിന്നു ബോധം വരുത്തുവാനോ അവന്റെ മൊഴികള്‍ക്കുത്തരം പറവാനോ നിങ്ങളില്‍ ആരുമില്ല.
13 ഞങ്ങള്‍ ജ്ഞാനം കണ്ടുപിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുമനുഷ്യനല്ല, ദൈവമത്രേ അവനെ ജയിക്കും എന്നു നിങ്ങള്‍ പറയരുതു.
14 എന്റെ നേരെയല്ലല്ലോ അവന്‍ തന്റെ മൊഴികളെ പ്രയോഗിച്ചതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ വചനങ്ങള്‍കൊണ്ടു ഞാന്‍ അവനോടു ഉത്തരം പറകയുമില്ല.
15 അവര്‍ പരിഭ്രമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഉത്തരം പറയുന്നില്ല; അവര്‍ക്കും വാക്കു മുട്ടിപ്പോയി.
16 അവര്‍ ഉത്തരം പറയാതെ വെറുതെ നിലക്കുന്നു; അവര്‍ സംസാരിക്കായ്കയാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ കാത്തിരിക്കേണമോ?
17 എനിക്കു പറവാനുള്ളതു ഞാനും പറയും; എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായം ഞാന്‍ പ്രസ്താവിക്കും.
18 ഞാന്‍ മൊഴികള്‍കൊണ്ടു തിങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ഉള്ളിലെ ആത്മാവു എന്നെ നിര്‍ബ്ബന്ധിക്കുന്നു.
19 എന്റെ ഉള്ളം അടെച്ചുവെച്ച വീഞ്ഞുപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അതു പുതിയ തുരുത്തികള്‍പോലെ പൊട്ടു മാറായിരിക്കുന്നു.
20 എന്റെ വിമ്മിഷ്ടം തീരേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന്‍ സംസാരിക്കും; എന്റെ അധരം തുറന്നു ഉത്തരം പറയും.
21 ഞാന്‍ ഒരുത്തന്റെയും പക്ഷം പിടിക്കയില്ല; ആരോടും മുഖസ്തുതി പറകയുമില്ല.
22 മുഖസ്തുതി പറവാന്‍ എനിക്കു അറിഞ്ഞുകൂടാ; അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്താല്‍ എന്റെ സ്രഷ്ടാവു ക്ഷണത്തില്‍ എന്നെ നീക്കിക്കളയും.

2 Then was kindled H2734 the wrath H639 of Elihu H453 the son H1121 of Barachel H1292 the Buzite, H940 of the kindred H4480 H4940 of Ram: H7410 against Job H347 was his wrath H639 kindled, H2734 because H5921 he justified H6663 himself H5315 rather than God H4480 H430 .
3 Also against his three H7969 friends H7453 was his wrath H639 kindled, H2734 because H5921 H834 they had found H4672 no H3808 answer, H4617 and yet had condemned H7561 H853 Job. H347
4 Now Elihu H453 had waited H2442 till H853 Job H347 had spoken, H1697 because H3588 they H1992 were elder H2205 H3117 than H4480 he.
5 When Elihu H453 saw H7200 that H3588 there was no H369 answer H4617 in the mouth H6310 of these three H7969 men, H376 then his wrath H639 was kindled. H2734
6 And Elihu H453 the son H1121 of Barachel H1292 the Buzite H940 answered H6030 and said, H559 I H589 am young, H6810 and ye H859 are very old H3453 H3117 ; wherefore H5921 H3651 I was afraid, H2119 and durst H3372 not show H4480 H2331 you mine opinion. H1843
7 I said, H559 Days H3117 should speak, H1696 and multitude H7230 of years H8141 should teach H3045 wisdom. H2451
8 But H403 there is a spirit H7307 in man: H582 and the inspiration H5397 of the Almighty H7706 giveth them understanding. H995
9 Great H7227 men are not H3808 always wise: H2449 neither do the aged H2205 understand H995 judgment. H4941
