1 ഇതിനാല്‍ എന്റെ ഹൃദയം വിറെച്ചു തന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു പാളിപ്പോകുന്നു.
2 അവന്റെ നാദത്തിന്റെ മുഴക്കവും അവന്റെ വായില്‍നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്ന ഗര്‍ജ്ജനവും ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകേള്‍പ്പിന്‍ .
3 അവന്‍ അതു ആകാശത്തിന്‍ കീഴിലൊക്കെയും അതിന്റെ മിന്നല്‍ ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റത്തോളവും അയക്കുന്നു.
4 അതിന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ഒരു മുഴക്കം കേള്‍ക്കുന്നു; അവന്‍ തന്റെ മഹിമാനാദംകൊണ്ടു ഇടമുഴക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നാദം കേള്‍ക്കുമ്പോള്‍ അവയെ തടുക്കുന്നില്ല.
5 ദൈവം തന്റെ നാദം അതിശയമായി മുഴക്കുന്നു; നുമുകൂ ഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൂടാത്ത മഹാകാര്യങ്ങളെ ചെയ്യുന്നു.
6 അവന്‍ ഹിമത്തോടുഭൂമിയില്‍ പെയ്യുക എന്നു കല്പിക്കുന്നു; അവന്‍ മഴയോടും വമ്പിച്ച പെരുമഴയോടും കല്പിക്കുന്നു.
7 താന്‍ സൃഷ്ടിച്ച മനുഷ്യരൊക്കെയും അറിവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം അവന്‍ സകലമനുഷ്യരുടെയും കൈ മുദ്രയിടുന്നു.
8 കാട്ടുമൃഗം ഒളിവിടത്തു ചെന്നു തന്റെ ഗുഹയില്‍ കിടക്കുന്നു.
9 ദക്ഷിണമണ്ഡലത്തില്‍നിന്നു കൊടുങ്കാറ്റും ഉത്തരദിക്കില്‍നിന്നു കുളിരും വരുന്നു.
10 ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശ്വാസംകൊണ്ടു നീര്‍ക്കട്ട ഉളവാകുന്നു; വെള്ളങ്ങളുടെ വിശാലത ഉറെച്ചു പോകുന്നു.
11 അവന്‍ കാര്‍മ്മേഘത്തെ ഈറംകൊണ്ടു കനപ്പിക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ മിന്നലുള്ള മേഘത്തെ പരത്തുന്നു.
12 അവന്‍ അവയോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും ഭൂമിയുടെ ഉപരിഭാഗത്തു ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്റെ ആദേശപ്രകാരം അവ ചുറ്റി സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.
13 ശിക്ഷെക്കായിട്ടോ ദേശത്തിന്റെ നന്മെക്കായിട്ടോ ദയെക്കായിട്ടോ അവന്‍ അതു വരുത്തുന്നു.
14 ഇയ്യോബേ, ഇതു ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊള്‍ക; മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചിന്തിച്ചുകൊള്‍ക.
15 ദൈവം അവേക്കു കല്പന കൊടുക്കുന്നതും തന്റെ മേഘത്തിലെ മിന്നല്‍ പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കുന്നതും എങ്ങനെ എന്നു നീ അറിയുന്നുവോ?
16 മേഘങ്ങളുടെ ആക്കത്തൂക്കവും ജ്ഞാനസമ്പൂര്‍ണ്ണനായവന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും നീ അറിയുന്നുവോ?
17 തെന്നിക്കാറ്റുകൊണ്ടു ഭൂമി അനങ്ങാതിരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ നിന്റെ വസ്ത്രത്തിന്നു ചൂടുണ്ടാകുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?
18 ലോഹദര്‍പ്പണംപോലെ ഉറപ്പുള്ള ആകാശത്തെ നിനക്കു അവനോടുകൂടെ വിടര്‍ത്തു വെക്കുമോ?
19 അവനോടു എന്തു പറയേണമെന്നു ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ഉപദേശിച്ചു തരിക; അന്ധകാരംനിമിത്തം ഞങ്ങളള്‍ക്കു ഒന്നും പ്രസ്താവിപ്പാന്‍ കഴിവില്ല.
20 എനിക്കു സംസാരിക്കേണം എന്നു അവനോടു ബോധിപ്പിക്കേണമോ? നാശത്തിന്നിരയായ്തീരുവാന്‍ ആരാനും ഇച്ഛിക്കുമോ?
21 ഇപ്പോള്‍ ആകാശത്തില്‍ വെളിച്ചം ശോഭിക്കുന്നതു കാണുന്നില്ല; എങ്കിലും കാറ്റു കടന്നു അതിനെ തെളിവാക്കുന്നു.
22 വടക്കുനിന്നു സ്വര്‍ണ്ണശോഭപോലെ വരുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റും ഭയങ്കരതേജസ്സുണ്ടു.
23 സര്‍വ്വശക്തനെയോ നാം കണ്ടെത്തുകയില്ല; അവന്‍ ശക്തിയില്‍ അത്യുന്നതനാകുന്നു; അവന്‍ ന്യായത്തിന്നും പൂര്‍ണ്ണനീതിക്കും ഭംഗം വരുത്തുന്നില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ടു മനുഷ്യര്‍ അവനെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു; ജ്ഞാനികളെന്നു ഭാവിക്കുന്നവരെ അവന്‍ കടാക്ഷിക്കുന്നില്ല.
