8 അവന്‍ വന്നു പാപത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും നീതിയെക്കുറിച്ചും ന്യായവിധിയെക്കുറിച്ചും ലോകത്തിന്നു ബോധം വരുത്തും.

9 അവര്‍ എന്നില്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു പാപത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും

10 ഞാന്‍ പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ പോകയും നിങ്ങള്‍ ഇനി എന്നെ കാണാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു

11 നീതിയെക്കുറിച്ചും ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭു വിധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു ന്യായ വിധിയെക്കുറിച്ചും തന്നേ.

12 ഇനിയും വളരെ നിങ്ങളോടു പറവാന്‍ ഉണ്ടു; എന്നാല്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ഇപ്പോള്‍ വഹിപ്പാന്‍ കഴിവില്ല.

13 സത്യത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവു വരുമ്പോഴോ അവന്‍ നിങ്ങളെ സകല സത്യത്തിലും വഴിനടത്തും; അവന്‍ സ്വയമായി സംസാരിക്കാതെ താന്‍ കേള്‍ക്കുന്നതു സംസാരിക്കയും വരുവാനുള്ളതു നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു അറിയിച്ചുതരികയും ചെയ്യും.

14 അവന്‍ എനിക്കുള്ളതില്‍നിന്നു എടുത്തു നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു അറിയിച്ചുതരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും.

15 പിതാവിന്നുള്ളതു ഒക്കെയും എനിക്കുള്ളതു; അതുകൊണ്ടത്രേ അവന്‍ എനിക്കുള്ളതില്‍ നിന്നു എടുത്തു നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു അറിയിച്ചുതരും എന്നു ഞാന്‍ പറഞ്ഞതു.

16 കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല; പിന്നെയും കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ കാണും.

17 അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരില്‍ ചിലര്‍കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല; പിന്നെയും കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു എന്നെ കാണും എന്നും പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ പോകുന്നു എന്നും അവന്‍ നമ്മോടു ഈ പറയുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു തമ്മില്‍ ചോദിച്ചു.

18 കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു എന്നു ഈ പറയുന്നതു എന്താകുന്നു? അവന്‍ എന്തു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നും അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

19 അവര്‍ തന്നോടു ചോദിപ്പാന്‍ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞു യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുകുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല; പിന്നെയും കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു എന്നെ കാണും എന്നു ഞാന്‍ പറകയാല്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ തമ്മില്‍ തമ്മില്‍ ചോദിക്കുന്നുവോ?

20 ആമേന്‍ , ആമേന്‍ , ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുനിങ്ങള്‍ കരഞ്ഞു വിലപിക്കും; ലോകമോ സന്തോഷിക്കും; നിങ്ങള്‍ ദുഃഖിക്കും; എന്നാല്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദുഃഖം സന്തോഷമായിത്തീരും.

21 സ്ത്രീ പ്രസവിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ തന്റെ നാഴിക വന്നതു കൊണ്ടു അവള്‍ക്കു ദുഃഖം ഉണ്ടു; കുഞ്ഞിനെ പ്രസവിച്ചശേഷമോ ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്‍ ലോകത്തിലേക്കു പിറന്നിരിക്കുന്ന സന്തോഷം നിമിത്തം അവള്‍ തന്റെ കഷ്ടം പിന്നെ ഔര്‍ക്കുംന്നില്ല.

22 അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കും ഇപ്പോള്‍ ദുഃഖം ഉണ്ടു എങ്കിലും ഞാന്‍ പിന്നെയും നിങ്ങളെ കാണും; നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം സന്തോഷിക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ സന്തോഷം ആരും നിങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നു എടുത്തുകളകയില്ല.

23 അന്നു നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നോടു ഒന്നും ചോദിക്കയില്ല. ആമേന്‍ , ആമേന്‍ , ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുനിങ്ങള്‍ പിതാവിനോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും അവന്‍ എന്റെ നാമത്തില്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു തരും.

24 ഇന്നുവരെ നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്റെ നാമത്തില്‍ ഒന്നും അപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; അപേക്ഷിപ്പിന്‍ ; എന്നാല്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ സന്തോഷം പൂര്‍ണ്ണമാകുംവണ്ണം നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ലഭിക്കും.

25 ഇതു ഞാന്‍ സദൃശമായി നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും ഞാന്‍ ഇനി സദൃശമായി നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിക്കാതെ പിതാവിനെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു സ്പഷ്ടമായി നിങ്ങളോടു അറിയിക്കുന്ന നാഴിക വരുന്നു.

26 അന്നു നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്റെ നാമത്തില്‍ അപേക്ഷിക്കും; ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കുവേണ്ടി പിതാവിനോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കും എന്നു ഞാന്‍ പറയുന്നില്ല.

27 നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു, ഞാന്‍ പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍നിന്നു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു വിശ്വസിച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു പിതാവു താനും നിങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.

28 ഞാന്‍ പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ലോകത്തില്‍ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; പിന്നെയും ലോകത്തെ വിട്ടു പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ പോകുന്നു.

29 അതിന്നു അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര്‍ഇപ്പോള്‍ നീ സദൃശം ഒന്നും പറയാതെ സ്പഷ്ടമായി സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

30 നീ സകലവും അറിയുന്നു എന്നും ആരും നിന്നോടു ചോദിപ്പാന്‍ നിനക്കു ആവശ്യം ഇല്ല എന്നും ഞങ്ങള്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ അറിയുന്നു; ഇതിനാല്‍ നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍നിന്നു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞങ്ങള്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

31 യേശു അവരോടുഇപ്പോള്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നുവോ?

32 നിങ്ങള്‍ ഔരോരുത്തന്‍ താന്താന്റെ സ്വന്തത്തിലേക്കു ചിതറിപ്പോകയും എന്നെ ഏകനായി വിടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന നാഴിക വരുന്നു; വന്നുമിരിക്കുന്നു; പിതാവു എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉള്ളതു കൊണ്ടു ഞാന്‍ ഏകനല്ല താനും.

33 നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു എന്നില്‍ സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇതു നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ലോകത്തില്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു കഷ്ടം ഉണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും ധൈര്യപ്പെടുവിന്‍ ; ഞാന്‍ ലോകത്തെ ജയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
