2 എന്നാല്‍ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ കൂടാരപ്പെരുനാള്‍ അടുത്തിരുന്നു.

3 അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര്‍ അവനോടുനീ ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തികളെ നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരും കാണേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇവിടം വിട്ടു യെഹൂദ്യയിലേക്കു പോക.

4 പ്രസിദ്ധന്‍ ആകുവാന്‍ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവന്‍ ആരും രഹസ്യത്തില്‍ ഒന്നും ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലല്ലോ; നീ ഇതു ചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കില്‍ ലോകത്തിന്നു നിന്നെത്തന്നേ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

5 അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും അവനില്‍ വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.

6 യേശു അവരോടുഎന്റെ സമയം ഇതുവരെ വന്നിട്ടില്ല; നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കോ എല്ലയ്പോഴും സമയം തന്നേ.

7 നിങ്ങളെ പകെപ്പാന്‍ ലോകത്തിന്നു കഴിയുന്നതല്ല; എന്നാല്‍ അതിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികള്‍ ദോഷമുള്ളവ എന്നു ഞാന്‍ അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നതു കൊണ്ടു അതു എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നു.

10 അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര്‍ പെരുനാളിന്നു പോയശേഷം അവനും പരസ്യമായിട്ടല്ല രഹസ്യത്തില്‍ എന്നപോലെ പോയി.

11 എന്നാല്‍ യെഹൂദന്മാര്‍ പെരുനാളില്‍അവന്‍ എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു അവനെ അന്വേഷിച്ചു.

12 പുരുഷാരത്തില്‍ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു വളരെ കുശുകുശുപ്പു ഉണ്ടായി; അവന്‍ നല്ലവന്‍ എന്നു ചിലരും അല്ല, അവന്‍ പുരുഷാരത്തെ വഞ്ചിക്കുന്നു എന്നു മറ്റു ചിലരും പറഞ്ഞു.

13 എങ്കിലും യെഹൂദന്മാരെ പേടിച്ചിട്ടു ആരും പ്രസിദ്ധമായി അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു സംസാരിച്ചില്ല

14 പെരുനാള്‍ പാതി കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം യേശു ദൈവാലയത്തില്‍ ചെന്നു ഉപദേശിച്ചു.

15 വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം ചെയ്യാത്ത ഇവന്‍ ശാസ്ത്രം അറിയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാര്‍ അറിയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു.

16 യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുഎന്റെ ഉപദേശം എന്റേതല്ല, എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റേതത്രേ.

17 അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്‍വാന്‍ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവന്‍ ഈ ഉപദേശം ദൈവത്തില്‍ നിന്നുള്ളതോ ഞാന്‍ സ്വയമായി പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നതോ എന്നു അറിയും.

18 സ്വയമായി പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നവന്‍ സ്വന്തമഹത്വം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു; തന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ മഹത്വം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവന്‍ സത്യവാന്‍ ആകുന്നു; നീതികേടു അവനില്‍ ഇല്ല.

19 മോശെ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ന്യായപ്രമാണം തന്നിട്ടില്ലയോ? എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളില്‍ ആരും ന്യായപ്രമാണം ആചരിക്കുന്നില്ല. നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ കൊല്ലുവാന്‍ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?

20 അതിന്നു പുരുഷാരംനിനക്കു ഒരു ഭൂതം ഉണ്ടു; ആര്‍ നിന്നെ കൊല്ലുവാന്‍ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

21 യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുഞാന്‍ ഒരു പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്തു; അതിങ്കല്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ എല്ലാവരും ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെടുന്നു.

22 മോശെ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു പരിച്ഛേദന നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കയാല്‍--അതു മോശെയുടെ കാലത്തല്ല പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ കാലത്തത്രെ തുടങ്ങിയതു--നിങ്ങള്‍ ശബ്ബത്തില്‍ മനുഷ്യനെ പരിച്ഛേദന കഴിക്കുന്നു.

23 മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്നു നീക്കം വരാതിരിപ്പാന്‍ ശബ്ബത്തിലും മനുഷ്യന്‍ പരിച്ഛേദന ഏലക്കുന്നു എങ്കില്‍ ഞാന്‍ ശബ്ബത്തില്‍ ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ മുഴുവനും സൌഖ്യമാക്കിയതിനാല്‍ എന്നോടു ഈര്‍ഷ്യപ്പെടുന്നുവോ?

24 കാഴ്ചപ്രകാരം വിധിക്കരുതു; നീതിയുള്ള വിധി വിധിപ്പിന്‍ .

25 യെരൂശലേമ്യരില്‍ ചിലര്‍അവര്‍ കൊല്ലുവാന്‍ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവന്‍ ഇവന്‍ അല്ലയോ?

26 അവന്‍ ധൈര്യത്തോടെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; അവര്‍ അവനോടു ഒന്നും പറയുന്നില്ല; ഇവന്‍ ക്രിസ്തു ആകുന്നു എന്നു പ്രമാണികള്‍ യഥാര്‍ത്ഥമായി ഗ്രഹിച്ചുവോ?

27 എങ്കിലും ഇവന്‍ എവിടെനിന്നു എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നു; ക്രിസ്തു വരുമ്പോഴോ അവന്‍ എവിടെനിന്നു എന്നു ആരും അറികയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

28 ആകയാല്‍ യേശു ദൈവാലയത്തില്‍ ഉപദേശിക്കുമ്പോള്‍നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ അറിയുന്നു; ഞാന്‍ എവിടെനിന്നെന്നും അറിയുന്നു. ഞാന്‍ സ്വയമായിട്ടു വന്നവനല്ല, എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്‍ സത്യവാന്‍ ആകുന്നു; അവനെ നിങ്ങള്‍ അറിയുന്നില്ല.

29 ഞാന്‍ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ നിന്നു വന്നതുകൊണ്ടും അവന്‍ എന്നെ അയച്ചതുകൊണ്ടും ഞാന്‍ അവനെ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു.

30 ആകയാല്‍ അവര്‍ അവനെ പിടിപ്പാന്‍ അന്വേഷിച്ചു എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ നാഴിക വന്നിട്ടില്ലായ്കയാല്‍ ആരും അവന്റെ മേല്‍ കൈ വെച്ചില്ല.

31 പുരുഷാരത്തില്‍ പലരുംക്രിസ്തു വരുമ്പോള്‍ ഇവന്‍ ചെയ്തതില്‍ അധികം അടയാളം ചെയ്യുമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനില്‍ വിശ്വസിച്ചു.

32 പുരുഷാരം അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഇങ്ങനെ കുശുകുശുക്കുന്നു എന്നു പരീശന്മാര്‍ കേട്ടാറെ അവനെ പിടിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും പരീശന്മാരും ചേവകരെ അയച്ചു.

33 യേശുവോഞാന്‍ ഇനി കുറെനേരം നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; പിന്നെ എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ പോകുന്നു.

34 നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കും കണ്ടെത്തുകയില്ലതാനും; ഞാന്‍ ഇരിക്കുന്നേടത്തു നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു വരുവാന്‍ കഴികയുമില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

35 അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു യെഹൂദന്മാര്‍നാം കണ്ടെത്താതവണ്ണം ഇവന്‍ എവിടേക്കു പോകുവാന്‍ ഭാവിക്കുന്നു? യവനന്മാരുടെ ഇടയില്‍ ചിതറിപ്പാര്‍ക്കുംന്നവരുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ പോയി യവനരെ ഉപദേശിപ്പാന്‍ ഭാവമോ? നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കും, എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തുകയില്ലതാനും; ഞാന്‍ ഇരിക്കുന്നേടത്തു നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു വരുവാന്‍ കഴികയുമില്ല എന്നു ഈ പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കു എന്തു എന്നു തമ്മില്‍ തമ്മില്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

36 ഉത്സവത്തിന്റെ മഹാദിനമായ ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളില്‍ യേശുനിന്നുകൊണ്ടു ദാഹിക്കുന്നവന്‍ എല്ലാം എന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ വന്നു കുടിക്കട്ടെ.

37 എന്നില്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്റെ ഉള്ളില്‍ നിന്നു തിരുവെഴുത്തു പറയുന്നതുപോലെ ജീവജലത്തിന്റെ നദികള്‍ ഒഴുകും എന്നു വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

38 അവന്‍ ഇതു തന്നില്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്കും ലഭിപ്പാനുള്ള ആത്മാവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ആകുന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു; യേശു അന്നു തേജസ്കരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ലായ്കയാല്‍ ആത്മാവു വന്നിട്ടില്ലായിരുന്നു.

39 പുരുഷാരത്തില്‍ പലരും ആ വാക്കു കേട്ടിട്ടുഇവന്‍ സാക്ഷാല്‍ ആ പ്രവാചകന്‍ ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

40 വേറെ ചിലര്‍ഇവന്‍ ക്രിസ്തു തന്നേ എന്നും മറ്റു ചിലര്‍ഗലീലയില്‍ നിന്നോ ക്രിസ്തു വരുന്നതു? ദാവീദിന്റെ സന്തതിയില്‍ നിന്നും ദാവീദ് പാര്‍ത്ത ഗ്രാമമായ ബേത്ത്ളേഹെമില്‍നിന്നും ക്രിസ്തു വരുന്നു എന്നു തിരുവെഴുത്തു പറയുന്നില്ലയോ എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു.

41 അങ്ങനെ പുരുഷാരത്തില്‍ അവനെച്ചൊല്ലി ഭിന്നത ഉണ്ടായി.

42 അവരില്‍ ചിലര്‍ അവനെ പിടിപ്പാന്‍ ഭാവിച്ചു എങ്കിലും ആരും അവന്റെ മേല്‍ കൈവെച്ചില്ല.

43 ചേവകര്‍ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെയും പരീശന്മാരുടെയും അടുക്കല്‍ മടങ്ങിവന്നപ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ അവരോടുനിങ്ങള്‍ അവനെ കൊണ്ടുവരാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു

44 ഈ മനുഷ്യന്‍ സംസാരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ആരും ഒരുനാളും സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല എന്നു ചേവകര്‍ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

45 പരീശന്മാര്‍ അവരോടുനിങ്ങളും തെറ്റിപ്പോയോ?

46 പ്രമാണികളില്‍ ആകട്ടെ പരീശന്മാരില്‍ ആകട്ടെ ആരെങ്കിലും അവനില്‍ വിശ്വസിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

47 ന്യായപ്രമാണം അറിയാത്ത പുരുഷാരമോ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരാകുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

48 അവരില്‍ ഒരുത്തനായി, മുമ്പെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ വന്നിരുന്ന നിക്കൊദേമൊസ് അവരോടു

49 ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ വാമൊഴി ആദ്യം കേട്ടു, അവന്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഇന്നതു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടല്ലാതെ നമ്മുടെ ന്യായ പ്രമാണം അവനെ വിധിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

50 അവര്‍ അവനോടുനീയും ഗലീലക്കാരനോ? പരിശോധിച്ചുനോക്കുക; ഗലീലയില്‍ നിന്നു പ്രവാചകന്‍ എഴുന്നേലക്കുന്നില്ലല്ലോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

51 അങ്ങനെ ഔരോരുത്തന്‍ താന്താന്റെ വീട്ടില്‍ പോയി.
