1 അവന്‍ യെരീഹോവില്‍ എത്തി കടന്നു പോകുമ്പോള്‍

2 ചുങ്കക്കാരില്‍ പ്രമാണിയും ധനവാനുമായ സക്കായി എന്നു പേരുള്ളോരു പുരുഷന്‍ ,

3 യേശു എങ്ങനെയുള്ളവന്‍ എന്നു കാണ്മാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചു, വളര്‍ച്ചയില്‍ കുറിയവന്‍ ആകകൊണ്ടു പുരുഷാരംനിമിത്തം കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

4 എന്നാറെ അവന്‍ മുമ്പോട്ടു ഔടി, അവനെ കാണേണ്ടിതിന്നു ഒരു കാട്ടത്തിമേല്‍ കയറി. യേശു ആ വഴിയായി വരികയായിരുന്നു.

5 അവന്‍ ആ സ്ഥലത്തു എത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ മേലോട്ടു നോക്കിസക്കായിയേ, വേഗം ഇറങ്ങിവാ; ഞാന്‍ ഇന്നു നിന്റെ വീട്ടില്‍ പാര്‍ക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

6 അവന്‍ ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു ഇറങ്ങി സന്തോഷത്തോടെ അവനെ കൈക്കൊണ്ടു.

7 കണ്ടവര്‍ എല്ലാംഅവന്‍ പാപിയായോരു മനുഷ്യനോടുകൂടെ പാര്‍പ്പാന്‍ പോയി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു പിറുപിറുത്തു.

8 സക്കായിയോ നിന്നു കര്‍ത്താവിനോടുകര്‍ത്താവേ, എന്റെ വസ്തുവകയില്‍ പാതി ഞാന്‍ ദരിദ്രര്‍ക്കും കൊടുക്കുന്നുണ്ടു; വല്ലതും ചതിവായി വാങ്ങീട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ നാലുമടങ്ങു മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

9 യേശു അവനോടുഇവനും അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ മകന്‍ ആകയാല്‍ ഇന്നു ഈ വീട്ടിന്നു രക്ഷ വന്നു.

10 കാണാതെ പോയതിനെ തിരഞ്ഞു രക്ഷിപ്പാനല്ലോ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്‍ വന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

11 അവര്‍ ഇതു കേട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ അവന്‍ യെരൂശലേമിന്നു സമീപിച്ചിരിക്കയാലും ദൈവരാജ്യം ക്ഷണത്തില്‍ വെളിപ്പെടും എന്നു അവര്‍ക്കും തോന്നുകയാലും അവന്‍ ഒരു ഉപമയുംകൂടെ പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാല്‍

12 കുലീനനായോരു മനുഷ്യന്‍ രാജത്വം പ്രാപിച്ചു മടങ്ങിവരേണം എന്നുവെച്ചു ദൂരദേശത്തേക്കു യാത്രപോയി.

13 അവന്‍ പത്തു ദാസന്മാരെ വിളിച്ചു അവര്‍ക്കും പത്തു റാത്തല്‍ വെള്ളി കൊടുത്തു ഞാന്‍ വരുവോളം വ്യാപാരം ചെയ്തുകൊള്‍വിന്‍ എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

14 അവന്റെ പൌരന്മാരോ അവനെ പകെച്ചു അവന്റെ പിന്നൊലെ പ്രതിനിധികളെ അയച്ചുഅവന്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു രാജാവായിരിക്കുന്നതു ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു സമ്മതമല്ല എന്നു ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.

15 അവന്‍ രാജത്വം പ്രാപിച്ചു മടങ്ങി വന്നപ്പോള്‍ താന്‍ ദ്രവ്യം കൊടുത്തിരുന്ന ദാസന്മാര്‍ വ്യാപാരം ചെയ്തു എന്തു നേടി എന്നു അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരെ വിളിപ്പാന്‍ കല്പിച്ചു.

16 ഒന്നാമത്തവന്‍ അടുത്തു വന്നു; കര്‍ത്താവേ, നീ തന്ന റാത്തല്‍കൊണ്ടു പത്തുറാത്തല്‍ സമ്പാദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നുപറഞ്ഞു.

17 അവന്‍ അവനോടുനന്നു നല്ല ദാസനേ, നീ അത്യല്പത്തില്‍ വിശ്വസ്തന്‍ ആയതുകൊണ്ടു പത്തു പട്ടണത്തിന്നു അധികാരമുള്ളവന്‍ ആയിരിക്ക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

18 രണ്ടാമത്തവന്‍ വന്നുകര്‍ത്താവേ, നീ തന്ന റാത്തല്‍കൊണ്ടു അഞ്ചു റാത്തല്‍ സമ്പാദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

19 നീയും അഞ്ചു പട്ടണത്തിന്നു മേല്‍വിചാരകന്‍ ആയിരിക്ക എന്നു അവന്‍ അവനോടു കല്പിച്ചു.

20 മറ്റൊരുവന്‍ വന്നുകര്‍ത്താവേ, ഇതാ നിന്റെ റാത്തല്‍; ഞാന്‍ അതു ഒരു ഉറുമാലില്‍ കെട്ടി വെച്ചിരുന്നു.

21 നീ വെക്കാത്തതു എടുക്കുകയും വിതെക്കാത്തതു കൊയ്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന കഠിനമനുഷ്യന്‍ ആകകൊണ്ടു ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22 അവന്‍ അവനോടുദുഷ്ട ദാസനേ, നിന്റെ വായില്‍ നിന്നു തന്നേ ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കും. ഞാന്‍ വെക്കാത്തതു എടുക്കയും വിതെക്കാത്തതു കൊയ്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന കഠിനമനുഷ്യന്‍ എന്നു നീ അറിഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

23 ഞാന്‍ വന്നു എന്റെ ദ്രവ്യം പലിശയോടുകൂടെ വാങ്ങിക്കൊള്ളേണ്ടതിന്നു അതു നാണ്യപീഠത്തില്‍ ഏല്പിക്കാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു?

24 പിന്നെ അവന്‍ അരികെ നിലക്കുന്നവരോടുആ റാത്തല്‍ അവന്റെ പക്കല്‍ നിന്നു എടുത്തു പത്തു റാത്തലുള്ളവന്നു കൊടുപ്പിന്‍ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25 കര്‍ത്താവേ, അവന്നു പത്തു റാത്തല്‍ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ എന്നു അവന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

26 ഉള്ളവന്നു ഏവന്നു കൊടുക്കും ഇല്ലാത്തവനോടു ഉള്ളതുംകൂടെ എടുത്തു കളയും എന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

27 എന്നാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ തങ്ങള്‍ക്കു രാജാവായിരിക്കുന്നതു സമ്മതമില്ലാത്ത ശത്രുക്കളായവരെ ഇവിടെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു എന്റെ മുമ്പില്‍വെച്ചു കൊന്നുകളവിന്‍ എന്നു അവന്‍ കല്പിച്ചു.

28 ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവന്‍ മുമ്പായി നടന്നുകൊണ്ടു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു യാത്ര ചെയ്തു.

29 അവന്‍ ഒലീവ് മലയരികെ ബേത്ത്ഫാഗെക്കും ബേഥാന്യെക്കും സമീപിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ ശിഷ്യന്മാരില്‍ രണ്ടുപേരെ അയച്ചു

30 നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു എതിരെയുള്ള ഗ്രാമത്തില്‍ ചെല്ലുവിന്‍ ; അതില്‍ കടക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ആരും ഒരിക്കലും കയറീട്ടില്ലാത്ത ഒരു കഴുതകൂട്ടിയെ കെട്ടീയിരിക്കുന്നതു കാണും; അതിനെ അഴിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുവരുവിന്‍ .

31 അതിനെ അഴിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ആരെങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളോടു ചോദിച്ചാല്‍കര്‍ത്താവിന്നു ഇതിനെക്കൊണ്ടു ആവശ്യം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറവിന്‍ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

32 അയക്കപ്പെട്ടവര്‍ പോയി തങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞതു പോലെ കണ്ടു.

33 കഴുതകുട്ടിയെ അഴിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ അതിന്റെ ഉടയവര്‍കഴുതകൂട്ടിയെ അഴിക്കന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു

34 കര്‍ത്താവിനു ഇതിനെക്കൊണ്ടു ആവശ്യം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

35 അതിനെ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ വസ്ത്രം കഴുതകൂട്ടിമേല്‍ ഇട്ടു യേശുവിനെ കയറ്റി.

36 അവന്‍ പോകുമ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ വസ്ത്രം വഴിയില്‍ വിരിച്ചു.

37 അവന്‍ ഒലീവുമലയുടെ ഇറക്കത്തിന്നു അടുത്തപ്പോള്‍ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടം എല്ലാം തങ്ങള്‍ കണ്ട സകല വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികളെയും കുറിച്ചു സന്തോഷിച്ചു അത്യുച്ചത്തില്‍ ദൈവത്തെ പുകഴ്ത്തി

38 കര്‍ത്താവിന്റെ നാമത്തില്‍ വരുന്ന രാജാവു വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവന്‍ ; സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തില്‍ സമാധാനവും അത്യുന്നതങ്ങളില്‍ മഹത്വവും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

39 പുരുഷാരത്തില്‍ ചില പരീശന്മാരോ അവനോടുഗുരോ, നിന്റെ ശീഷ്യന്മാരെ വിലക്കുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

40 അതിന്നു അവന്‍ ഇവര്‍ മണ്ടാതിരുന്നാല്‍ കല്ലുകള്‍ ആര്‍ത്തുവിളിക്കും എന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

41 അവന്‍ നഗരത്തിന്നു സമീപിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ അതിനെ കണ്ടു അതിനെക്കുറിചു കരഞ്ഞു

42 ഈ നാളില്‍ നിന്റെ സമാധാനത്തിന്നുള്ളതു നീയും അറിഞ്ഞു എങ്കില്‍ കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു. ഇപ്പോഴോ അതു നിന്റെ കണ്ണിന്നു മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

43 നിന്റെ സന്ദര്‍ശനകാലം നീ അറിയാഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള്‍ നിനക്കു ചുറ്റും വാടകോരി നിന്നെ വളഞ്ഞു നാലുപുറത്തും ഞെരുക്കി

44 നിന്നെയും നിന്നിലുള്ള നിന്റെ മക്കളെയും നിലത്തു തള്ളിയിട്ടു, നിങ്കല്‍ കല്ലിന്മേല്‍ കല്ലു ശേഷിപ്പിക്കാതിരിക്കുന്ന കാലം നിനക്കു വരും.

45 പിന്നെ അവന്‍ ദൈവാലയത്തില്‍ ചെന്നു വില്‍ക്കുന്നവരെ പുറത്താക്കിത്തുടങ്ങി

46 എന്റെ ആലയം പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനാലയം ആകും എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളോ അതിനെ കള്ളന്മാരുടെ ഗുഹ ആക്കിത്തിര്‍ത്തു എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

47 അവന്‍ ദിവസേന ദൈവാലയത്തില്‍ ഉപദേശിച്ചുപോന്നു; എന്നാല്‍ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും ജനത്തില്‍ പ്രധാനികളായവരും അവനെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാന്‍ തക്കം നോക്കി.

48 എങ്കിലും ജനം എല്ലാം അവന്റെ വചനം കേട്ടു രഞ്ജിച്ചിരിക്കയാല്‍ എന്തു ചെയ്യേണ്ടു എന്നു അവര്‍ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല.
