1 അഞ്ചാം പുസ്തകം
2 യഹോവേക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്‍വിന്‍ ; അവന്‍ നല്ലവനല്ലോ അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കുമുള്ളതു!
3 യഹോവ വൈരിയുടെ കയ്യില്‍നിന്നു വീണ്ടെടുക്കയും കിഴക്കും പടിഞ്ഞാറും വടക്കും കടലിലും ഉള്ള
4 ദേശങ്ങളില്‍നിന്നു കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ക്കയും ചെയ്തവരായ അവന്റെ വിമുക്തന്മാര്‍ അങ്ങനെ പറയട്ടെ.
5 അവര്‍ മരുഭൂമിയില്‍ ജനസഞ്ചാരമില്ലാത്ത വഴിയില്‍ ഉഴന്നുനടന്നു; പാര്‍പ്പാന്‍ ഒരു പട്ടണവും അവര്‍ കണ്ടെത്തിയില്ല.
6 അവര്‍ വിശന്നും ദാഹിച്ചും ഇരുന്നു; അവരുടെ പ്രാണന്‍ അവരുടെ ഉള്ളില്‍ തളര്‍ന്നു.
7 അവര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയില്‍ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന്‍ അവരെ അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു.
8 അവര്‍ പാര്‍പ്പാന്‍ തക്ക പട്ടണത്തില്‍ ചെല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്‍ അവരെ ചൊവ്വെയുള്ള വഴിയില്‍ നടത്തി.
9 അവര്‍ യഹോവയെ അവന്റെ നന്മയെ ചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരില്‍ ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.
10 അവന്‍ ആര്‍ത്തിയുള്ളവന്നു തൃപ്തിവരുത്തുകയും വിശപ്പുള്ളവനെ നന്മകൊണ്ടു നിറെക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
11 ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളോടു മത്സരിക്കയും അത്യുന്നതന്റെ ആലോചനയെ നിരസിക്കയും ചെയ്തിട്ടു ഇരുളിലും അന്ധതമസ്സിലും ഇരുന്നു
12 അരിഷ്ടതയാലും ഇരുമ്പുചങ്ങലയാലും ബന്ധിക്കപ്പെട്ടവര്‍ -
13 അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അവന്‍ കഷ്ടതകൊണ്ടു താഴ്ത്തി; അവര്‍ ഇടറിവീണു; സഹായിപ്പാന്‍ ആരുമുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.
14 അവര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയില്‍ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന്‍ അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളില്‍നിന്നു അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.
15 അവന്‍ അവരെ ഇരുട്ടില്‍നിന്നും അന്ധതമസ്സില്‍നിന്നും പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു; അവരുടെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളെ അറുത്തുകളഞ്ഞു.
16 അവര്‍ യഹോവയെ, അവന്റെ നന്മയെ ചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരില്‍ ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.
17 അവന്‍ താമ്രകതകുകളെ തകര്‍ത്തു, ഇരിമ്പോടാമ്പലുകളെ മുറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
18 ഭോഷന്മാര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ ലംഘനങ്ങള്‍ ഹേതുവായും തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങള്‍നിമിത്തവും കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു.
19 അവര്‍ക്കും സകലവിധ ഭക്ഷണത്തോടും വെറുപ്പുതോന്നി; അവര്‍ മരണവാതിലുകളോടു സമീപിച്ചിരുന്നു.
20 അവര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയില്‍ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന്‍ അവരെ അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളില്‍നിന്നു രക്ഷിച്ചു.
21 അവന്‍ തന്റെ വചനത്തെ അയച്ചു അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി; അവരുടെ കുഴികളില്‍നിന്നു അവരെ വിടുവിച്ചു.
22 അവര്‍ യഹോവയെ അവന്റെ നന്മയെചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരില്‍ ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.
23 അവര്‍ സ്തോത്രയാഗങ്ങളെ കഴിക്കയും സംഗീതത്തോടുകൂടെ അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ വര്‍ണ്ണിക്കയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.
24 കപ്പല്‍ കയറി സമുദ്രത്തില്‍ ഔടിയവര്‍, പെരുവെള്ളങ്ങളില്‍ വ്യാപാരം ചെയ്തവര്‍,
25 അവര്‍ യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെയും ആഴിയില്‍ അവന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെയും കണ്ടു.
26 അവന്‍ കല്പിച്ചു കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു അടിപ്പിച്ചു, അതു അതിലെ തിരകളെ പൊങ്ങുമാറാക്കി.
27 അവര്‍ ആകാശത്തിലേക്കു ഉയര്‍ന്നു, വീണ്ടും ആഴത്തിലേക്കു താണു, അവരുടെ പ്രാണന്‍ കഷ്ടത്താല്‍ ഉരുകിപ്പോയി.
28 അവര്‍ മത്തനെപ്പോലെ തുള്ളി ചാഞ്ചാടിനടന്നു; അവരുടെ ബുദ്ധി പൊയ്പോയിരുന്നു.
29 അവര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയില്‍ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന്‍ അവരെ അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു.
30 അവന്‍ കൊടുങ്കാറ്റിനെ ശാന്തമാക്കി; തിരമാലകള്‍ അടങ്ങി.
31 ശാന്തത വന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവര്‍ സന്തോഷിച്ചു; അവര്‍ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച തുറമുഖത്തു അവന്‍ അവരെ എത്തിച്ചു.
32 അവര്‍ യഹോവയെ അവന്റെ നന്മയെ ചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരില്‍ ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.
33 അവര്‍ ജനത്തിന്റെ സഭയില്‍ അവനെ പുകഴ്ത്തുകയും മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ സംഘത്തില്‍ അവനെ സ്തുതിക്കയും ചെയ്യട്ടേ.
34 നിവാസികളുടെ ദുഷ്ടതനിമിത്തം അവന്‍ നദികളെ മരുഭൂമിയും
35 നീരുറവുകളെ വരണ്ട നിലവും ഫലപ്രദമായ ഭൂമിയെ ഉവര്‍ന്നിലവും ആക്കി.
36 അവന്‍ മരുഭൂമിയെ ജലതടാകവും വരണ്ട നിലത്തെ നീരുറവുകളും ആക്കി.
37 വിശന്നവരെ അവന്‍ അവിടെ പാര്‍പ്പിച്ചു; അവര്‍ പാര്‍പ്പാന്‍ പട്ടണം ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയും നിലം വിതെക്കയും
38 മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം നട്ടുണ്ടാക്കുകയും നമൃദ്ധിയായി ഫലങ്ങളെ അനുഭവിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.
39 അവന്‍ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടു അവര്‍ അത്യന്തം പെരുകി; അവരുടെ കന്നുകാലികള്‍ കുറഞ്ഞുപോകുവാന്‍ അവന്‍ ഇടവരുത്തിയില്ല.
40 പീഡനവും കഷ്ടതയും സങ്കടവും ഹേതുവായി അവര്‍ പിന്നെയും കുറഞ്ഞു താണുപോയി.
41 അവന്‍ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെമേല്‍ നിന്ദപകരുകയും വഴിയില്ലാത്ത ശൂന്യപ്രദേശത്തു അവരെ ഉഴലുമാറാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
42 അവന്‍ ദരിദ്രനെ പീഡയില്‍നിന്നു ഉയര്‍ത്തി അവന്റെ കുലങ്ങളെ ആട്ടിന്‍ കൂട്ടംപോലെ ആക്കി.
43 നേരുള്ളവര്‍ ഇതു കണ്ടു സന്തോഷിക്കും; നീതികെട്ടവര്‍ ഒക്കെയും വായ്പൊത്തും.
44 ജ്ഞാനമുള്ളവര്‍ ഇവയെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കും; അവര്‍ യഹോവയുടെ കൃപകളെ ചിന്തിക്കും.

2 Let the redeemed H1350 of the LORD H3068 say H559 so , whom H834 he hath redeemed H1350 from the hand H4480 H3027 of the enemy; H6862
3 And gathered H6908 them out of the lands H4480 H776 , from the east H4480 H4217 , and from the west H4480 H4628 , from the north H4480 H6828 , and from the south H4480 H3220 .
4 They wandered H8582 in the wilderness H4057 in a solitary H3452 way; H1870 they found H4672 no H3808 city H5892 to dwell H4186 in.
5 Hungry H7457 and H1571 thirsty, H6771 their soul H5315 fainted H5848 in them.
6 Then they cried H6817 unto H413 the LORD H3068 in their trouble, H6862 and he delivered H5337 them out of their distresses H4480 H4691 .
7 And he led them forth H1869 by the right H3477 way, H1870 that they might go H1980 to H413 a city H5892 of habitation. H4186
8 Oh that men would praise H3034 the LORD H3068 for his goodness, H2617 and for his wonderful works H6381 to the children H1121 of men H120 !
9 For H3588 he satisfieth H7646 the longing H8264 soul, H5315 and filleth H4390 the hungry H7457 soul H5315 with goodness. H2896
10 Such as sit H3427 in darkness H2822 and in the shadow of death, H6757 being bound H615 in affliction H6040 and iron; H1270
11 Because H3588 they rebelled against H4784 the words H561 of God, H410 and contemned H5006 the counsel H6098 of the most High: H5945
12 Therefore he brought down H3665 their heart H3820 with labor; H5999 they fell down, H3782 and there was none H369 to help. H5826
13 Then they cried H2199 unto H413 the LORD H3068 in their trouble, H6862 and he saved H3467 them out of their distresses H4480 H4691 .
14 He brought them out H3318 of darkness H4480 H2822 and the shadow of death, H6757 and broke H5423 their bands H4147 in sunder.
15 Oh that men would praise H3034 the LORD H3068 for his goodness, H2617 and for his wonderful works H6381 to the children H1121 of men H120 !
16 For H3588 he hath broken H7665 the gates H1817 of brass, H5178 and cut H1438 the bars H1280 of iron H1270 in sunder.
17 Fools H191 because H4480 H1870 of their transgression, H6588 and because of their iniquities H4480 H5771 , are afflicted. H6031
18 Their soul H5315 abhorreth H8581 all manner H3605 of meat; H400 and they draw near H5060 unto H5704 the gates H8179 of death. H4194
19 Then they cry H2199 unto H413 the LORD H3068 in their trouble, H6862 and he saveth H3467 them out of their distresses H4480 H4691 .
20 He sent H7971 his word, H1697 and healed H7495 them , and delivered H4422 them from their destructions H4480 H7825 .
21 Oh that men would praise H3034 the LORD H3068 for his goodness, H2617 and for his wonderful works H6381 to the children H1121 of men H120 !
22 And let them sacrifice H2076 the sacrifices H2077 of thanksgiving, H8426 and declare H5608 his works H4639 with rejoicing. H7440
23 They that go down H3381 to the sea H3220 in ships, H591 that do H6213 business H4399 in great H7227 waters; H4325
24 These H1992 see H7200 the works H4639 of the LORD, H3068 and his wonders H6381 in the deep. H4688
25 For he commandeth, H559 and raiseth H5975 the stormy H5591 wind, H7307 which lifteth up H7311 the waves H1530 thereof.
26 They mount up H5927 to the heaven, H8064 they go down H3381 again to the depths: H8415 their soul H5315 is melted H4127 because of trouble. H7451
27 They reel to and fro, H2287 and stagger H5128 like a drunken man, H7910 and are at their wits' end H3605 H2451. H1104

32 Let them exalt H7311 him also in the congregation H6951 of the people, H5971 and praise H1984 him in the assembly H4186 of the elders. H2205
33 He turneth H7760 rivers H5104 into a wilderness, H4057 and the watersprings H4325 H4161 into dry ground; H6774
34 A fruitful H6529 land H776 into barrenness, H4420 for the wickedness H4480 H7451 of them that dwell H3427 therein.
35 He turneth H7760 the wilderness H4057 into a standing H98 water, H4325 and dry H6723 ground H776 into watersprings H4161 H4325 .
36 And there H8033 he maketh the hungry to dwell H3427 H7457 , that they may prepare H3559 a city H5892 for habitation; H4186
37 And sow H2232 the fields, H7704 and plant H5193 vineyards, H3754 which may yield H6213 fruits H6529 of increase. H8393
38 He blesseth H1288 them also , so that they are multiplied H7235 greatly; H3966 and suffereth not H3808 their cattle H929 to decrease. H4591
39 Again , they are minished H4591 and brought low H7817 through oppression H4480 H6115 , affliction, H7451 and sorrow. H3015
40 He poureth H8210 contempt H937 upon H5921 princes, H5081 and causeth them to wander H8582 in the wilderness, H8414 where there is no H3808 way. H1870
