2 Kings 21:1 (YLT) Young's Literal Translation

1 A son of twelve years is Manasseh in his reigning, and fifty and five years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother is Hephzi-Bah;
2 and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, according to the abominations of the nations that Jehovah dispossessed from the presence of the sons of Israel,
3 and he turneth and buildeth the high places that Hezekiah his father destroyed, and raiseth altars for Baal, and maketh a shrine, as did Ahab king of Israel, and boweth himself to all the host of the heavens, and serveth them.
4 And he hath built altars in the house of Jehovah, of which Jehovah said, `In Jerusalem I put My name.`
5 And he buildeth altars to all the host of the heavens in the two courts of the house of Jehovah;
6 and he hath caused his son to pass through fire, and observed clouds, and used enchantment, and dealt with a familiar spirit and wizards; he hath multiplied to do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah -- to provoke to anger.
7 And he setteth the graven image of the shrine that he made in the house of which Jehovah said unto David and unto Solomon his son, `In this house, and in Jerusalem, that I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I put My name -- to the age;
8 and I do not add to cause the foot of Israel to move from the ground that I gave to their fathers, only, if they observe to do according to all that I commanded them, and to all the law that My servant Moses commanded them.`
9 And they have not hearkened, and Manasseh causeth them to err, to do the evil thing above the nations that Jehovah destroyed from the presence of the sons of Israel.
10 And Jehovah speaketh by the hand of his servants the prophets, saying,
11 `Because that Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations -- he hath done evil above all that the Amorites have done who are before him, and causeth also Judah to sin by his idols;
12 therefore thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, Lo, I am bringing in evil on Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever heareth of it, tingle do his two ears.
13 And I have stretched out over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab, and wiped Jerusalem as one wipeth the dish -- he hath wiped, and hath turned it on its face.
14 `And I have left the remnant of Mine inheritance, and given them into the hand of their enemies, and they have been for a prey and for a spoil to all their enemies,
15 because that they have done the evil thing in Mine eyes, and are provoking Me to anger from the day that their fathers came out of Egypt, even unto this day.`
16 And also, innocent blood hath Manasseh shed very much, till that he hath filled Jerusalem -- mouth to mouth; apart from his sin that he hath caused Judah to sin, to do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah.
17 And the rest of the matters of Manasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he sinned, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?
18 And Manasseh lieth with his fathers, and is buried in the garden of his house, in the garden of Uzza, and reign doth Amon his son in his stead.
19 A son of twenty and two years is Amon in his reigning, and two years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother is Meshullemeth daughter of Haruz of Jotbah,
20 and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, as did Manasseh his father,
21 and walketh in all the way that his father walked in, and serveth the idols that his father served, and boweth himself to them,
22 and forsaketh Jehovah, God of his fathers, and hath not walked in the way of Jehovah.
23 And the servants of Amon conspire against him, and put the king to death in his own house,
24 and the people of the land smite all those conspiring against king Amon, and the people of the land cause Josiah his son to reign in his stead.
25 And the rest of the matters of Amon that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?
26 and one burieth him in his burying-place in the garden of Uzza, and reign doth Josiah his son in his stead.

2 And he did H6213 W-VQY3MS that which was evil H7451 in the sight H5869 B-CMP of the LORD H3068 EDS , after the abominations H8441 of the heathen H1471 D-NMP , whom H834 RPRO the LORD H3068 EDS cast out H3423 before H6440 M-CMP the children H1121 of Israel H3478 LMS .
3 For he built up H1129 W-VQY3MS again H7725 the high places H1116 which H834 RPRO Hezekiah H2396 his father H1 CMS-3MS had destroyed H6 ; and he reared up H6965 altars H4196 for Baal H1168 , and made H6213 W-VQY3MS a grove H842 , as H834 RPRO did H6213 W-VQY3MS Ahab H256 king H4428 NMS of Israel H3478 ; and worshiped H7812 all H3605 L-CMS the host H6635 of heaven H8064 D-NMD , and served H5647 them .
4 And he built H1129 altars H4196 in the house H1004 B-CMS of the LORD H3068 EDS , of which H834 RPRO the LORD H3068 EDS said H559 VQQ3MS , In Jerusalem H3389 will I put H7760 VQY1MS my name H8034 .
5 And he built H1129 W-VQY3MS altars H4196 for all H3605 L-CMS the host H6635 of heaven H8064 D-AMP in the two H8147 courts H2691 of the house H1004 CMS of the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .
6 And he made his son H1121 CMS-3MS pass through H5674 the fire H784 , and observed times H6049 , and used enchantments H5172 , and dealt H6213 W-VQQ3MS with familiar spirits H178 and wizards H3049 : he wrought H6213 W-VQQ3MS much H7235 wickedness H7451 in the sight H5869 B-CMP of the LORD H3068 EDS , to provoke him to anger H3707 .
7 And he set H7760 W-VQY3MS a graven image H6459 of the grove H842 that H834 RPRO he had made H6213 VQQ3MS in the house H1004 , of which H834 RPRO the LORD H3068 EDS said H559 VQQ3MS to H413 PREP David H1732 MMS , and to H413 PREP Solomon H8010 MMS his son H1121 , In this H2088 D-PMS house H1004 , and in Jerusalem H3389 , which H834 RPRO I have chosen H977 out of all H3605 M-CMS tribes H7626 of Israel H3478 , will I put H7760 VQY1MS my name H8034 forever H5769 :
8 Neither H3808 W-NPAR will I make the feet H7272 NFS of Israel H3478 move H5110 any more H3254 out of H4480 PREP the land H127 D-NFS which H834 RPRO I gave H5414 VQQ1MS their fathers H1 ; only H7535 ADV if H518 PART they will observe H8104 to do H6213 L-VQFC according to all H3605 K-NMS that H834 RPRO I have commanded H6680 them , and according to all H3605 the law H8451 that H834 RPRO my servant H5650 CMS-1MS Moses H4872 commanded H6680 VPQ3MS them .
9 But they hearkened H8085 not H3808 W-NPAR : and Manasseh H4519 seduced H8582 W-VHY3MS-3MP them to do H6213 L-VQFC more evil H7451 D-AMS than H4480 PREP did the nations H1471 D-NMP whom H834 RPRO the LORD H3068 EDS destroyed H8045 before H6440 M-CMP the children H1121 of Israel H3478 LMS .
10 And the LORD H3068 EDS spoke H1696 W-VPY3MS by H3027 B-CFS his servants H5650 the prophets H5030 , saying H559 L-VQFC ,
11 Because H3282 ADV Manasseh H4519 king H4428 NMS of Judah H3063 hath done H6213 VQQ3MS these H428 D-DPRO-3MP abominations H8441 , and hath done wickedly H7489 above all H3605 M-CMS that H834 RPRO the Amorites H567 D-TMS did H6213 VQQ3MP , which H834 RPRO were before H6440 L-CMP-3MS him , and hath made Judah H3063 also H1571 CONJ to sin H2398 with his idols H1544 :
12 Therefore H3651 L-ADV thus H3541 saith H559 VQQ3MS the LORD H3068 EDS God H430 CDP of Israel H3478 , Behold H2009 , I am bringing H935 VHPMS such evil H7451 AFS upon H5921 PREP Jerusalem H3389 and Judah H3063 , that H834 RPRO whosoever H3605 NMS heareth H8085 of it , both H8147 ONUM his ears H241 shall tingle H6750 .
13 And I will stretch H5186 over H5921 PREP Jerusalem H3389 the line H6957 of Samaria H8111 , and the plummet H4949 of the house H1004 CMS of Ahab H256 : and I will wipe H4229 W-VQQ1MS Jerusalem H3389 as H834 a man wipeth H4229 a dish H6747 , wiping H4229 it , and turning H2015 W-VQQ3MS it upside down H5921 PREP .
14 And I will forsake H5203 the remnant H7611 of mine inheritance H5159 , and deliver H5414 them into the hand H3027 B-CFS of their enemies H341 ; and they shall become H1961 W-VQQ3MS a prey H957 and a spoil H4933 to all H3605 L-CMS their enemies H341 ;
15 Because H3282 ADV they have done H6213 VQQ3MP that which was evil H7451 in my sight H5869 , and have H1961 W-VQY3MP provoked me to anger H3707 , since H4480 PREP the day H3117 D-AMS their fathers H1 CMP-3MP came forth H3318 VQQ3MP out of Egypt H4714 M-TFS , even unto H5704 W-PREP this H2088 D-PMS day H3117 D-AMS .
16 Moreover H1571 W-CONJ Manasseh H4519 shed H8210 innocent H5355 AMS blood H1818 NMS very H3966 ADV much H7235 VHFA , till H5704 PREP he had filled H4390 VPQ3MS Jerusalem H3389 from one end H6310 to another H6310 ; beside his sin H905 wherewith H834 RPRO he made Judah to sin H2398 , in doing H6213 L-VQFC that which was evil H7451 in the sight H5869 B-CMP of the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .
17 Now the rest H3499 of the acts H1697 CMP of Manasseh H4519 , and all H3605 W-CMS that H834 RPRO he did H6213 VQQ3MS , and his sin H2403 that H834 RPRO he sinned H2398 VQQ3MS , are they H1992 PPRO-3MP not H3808 I-NADV written H3789 in H5921 PREP the book H5612 CMS of the chronicles H1697 CMP of the kings H4428 of Judah H3063 ?
18 And Manasseh H4519 slept H7901 W-VQY3MS with H5973 PREP his fathers H1 , and was buried H6912 in the garden H1588 of his own house H1004 NMS-3MS , in the garden H1588 of Uzza H5798 : and Amon H526 his son H1121 CMS-3MS reigned H4427 in his stead H8478 .
19 Amon H526 was twenty H6242 and two H8147 W-OFD years H8141 NFS old H1121 when he began to reign H4427 , and he reigned H4427 two H8147 W-OFD years H8141 NFP in Jerusalem H3389 . And his mother H517 GFS-3MS \'s name H8034 W-CMS was Meshullemeth H4922 , the daughter H1323 CFS of Haruz H2743 of H4480 PREP Jotbah H3192 .
20 And he did H6213 W-VQY3MS that which was evil H7451 in the sight H5869 B-CMP of the LORD H3068 EDS , as H834 K-RPRO his father H1 Manasseh H4519 did H6213 W-VQY3MS .
21 And he walked H1980 W-VQY3MS in all H3605 B-CMS the way H1870 D-NMS that H834 RPRO his father H1 CMS-3MS walked in H1980 VQQ3MS , and served H5647 the idols H1544 that H834 RPRO his father H1 CMS-3MS served H5647 , and worshiped H7812 them :
22 And he forsook H5800 the LORD H3068 EDS God H430 CDP of his fathers H1 , and walked H1980 VQQ3MS not H3808 W-NPAR in the way H1870 B-NMS of the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .
23 And the servants H5650 of Amon H526 conspired H7194 against H5921 PREP-3MS him , and slew H4191 the king H4428 D-NMS in his own house H1004 .
24 And the people H5971 NMS of the land H776 D-GFS slew H5221 W-VHY3MS all H3605 NMS them that had conspired H7194 against H5921 PREP king H4428 D-NMS Amon H526 ; and the people H5971 NMS of the land H776 D-GFS made Josiah H2977 his son H1121 king H4427 in his stead H8478 .
25 Now the rest H3499 of the acts H1697 CMP of Amon H526 which H834 RPRO he did H6213 VQQ3MS , are they H1992 PPRO-3MP not H3808 I-NADV written H3789 in H5921 PREP the book H5612 CMS of the chronicles H1697 CMP of the kings H4428 of Judah H3063 ?
26 And he was buried H6912 in his sepulcher H6900 in the garden H1588 of Uzza H5798 : and Josiah H2977 his son H1121 reigned H4427 in his stead H8478 .
