Job 10:3 (YLT) Young's Literal Translation

1 My soul hath been weary of my life, I leave off my talking to myself, I speak in the bitterness of my soul.
2 I say unto God, `Do not condemn me, Let me know why Thou dost strive with me.
3 Is it good for Thee that Thou dost oppress? That Thou despisest the labour of Thy hands, And on the counsel of the wicked hast shone?
4 Eyes of flesh hast Thou? As man seeth -- seest Thou?
5 As the days of man are Thy days? Thy years as the days of a man?
6 That Thou inquirest for mine iniquity, And for my sin seekest?
7 For Thou knowest that I am not wicked, And there is no deliverer from Thy hand.
8 Thy hands have taken pains about me, And they make me together round about, And Thou swallowest me up!
9 Remember, I pray Thee, That as clay Thou hast made me, And unto dust Thou dost bring me back.
10 Dost Thou not as milk pour me out? And as cheese curdle me?
11 Skin and flesh Thou dost put on me, And with bones and sinews dost fence me.
12 Life and kindness Thou hast done with me. And Thy inspection hath preserved my spirit.
13 And these Thou hast laid up in Thy heart, I have known that this is with Thee.
14 If I sinned, then Thou hast observed me, And from mine iniquity dost not acquit me,
15 If I have done wickedly -- wo to me, And righteously -- I lift not up my head, Full of shame -- then see my affliction,
16 And it riseth -- as a lion Thou huntest me. And Thou turnest back -- Thou shewest Thyself wonderful in me.
17 Thou renewest Thy witnesses against me, And dost multiply Thine anger with me, Changes and warfare are with me.
18 And why from the womb Hast Thou brought me forth? I expire, and the eye doth not see me.
19 As I had not been, I am, From the belly to the grave I am brought,
20 Are not my days few? Cease then, and put from me, And I brighten up a little,
21 Before I go, and return not, Unto a land of darkness and death-shade,
22 A land of obscurity as thick darkness, Death-shade -- and no order, And the shining is as thick darkness.`

7 Thou knowest H1847 CFS-2MS that H3588 CONJ I am not H3808 NADV wicked H7561 VQY1MS ; and there is none H369 W-NPAR that can deliver H5337 VHPMS out of thine hand H3027 M-CFS-2MS .
8 Thine hands H3027 CFD-2MS have made H6087 VPQ3MP-1MS me and fashioned H6213 W-VQY3MS-1MS me together H3162 ADV round about H5439 ADV ; yet thou dost destroy H1104 W-VPY2MS-1MS me .
9 Remember H2142 VQI2MS , I beseech thee H4994 IJEC , that H3588 CONJ thou hast made H6213 VQQ2MS-1MS me as the clay H2563 KD-NMS ; and wilt thou bring me into dust again H7725 VHY2MS-1MS ?
10 Hast thou not H3808 I-NADV poured me out H5413 VHY2MS-1MS as milk H2461 KD-NMS , and curdled H7087 VHY2MS-1MS me like cheese H1385 WKD-NFS ?
11 Thou hast clothed H3847 VHY2MS-1MS me with skin H5785 NMS and flesh H1320 W-NMS , and hast fenced H7753 me with bones H6106 WB-NFP and sinews H1517 W-NMP .
12 Thou hast granted H6213 VQQ2MS me life H2416 NMP and favor H2617 W-NMS , and thy visitation H6486 W-CFS-2MS hath preserved H8104 VQQ3FS my spirit H7307 CMS-1MS .

14 If H518 PART I sin H2398 VQQ1MS , then thou markest H8104 W-VQQ2MS-1MS me , and thou wilt not H3808 NADV acquit H5352 VPY2MS-1MS me from mine iniquity H5771 WM-CMS-1MS .
15 If H518 PART I be wicked H7561 VQQ1MS , woe H480 IJEC unto me ; and if I be righteous H6663 W-VQQ1MS , yet will I not H3808 NADV lift up H5375 VQY1MS my head H7218 CMS-1MS . I am full H7649 of confusion H7036 NMS ; therefore see H7200 thou mine affliction H6040 CMS-1MS ;
16 For it increaseth H1342 W-VQY3MS . Thou huntest H6679 VQY2MS-1MS me as a fierce lion H7826 KD-NMS : and again H7725 W-VQI3MS thou showest thyself marvelous H6381 VTY2MS upon me .
17 Thou renewest H2318 VPY2MS thy witnesses H5707 CMP-2MS against H5048 PREP-1MS me , and increasest H7235 W-VHI3FS thine indignation H3708 CMS-2MS upon H5973 PREP-1MS me ; changes H2487 NFP and war H6635 W-NMS are against H5973 PREP-1MS me .
18 Wherefore H4100 WL-IGAT then hast thou brought me forth H3318 VHQ2MS-1MS out of the womb H7358 M-NMS ? Oh that I had given up the ghost H1478 VQY1MS , and no H3808 NADV eye H5869 W-NMS had seen H7200 VQY2MS-1MS me !
19 I should have been H1961 VQQ1MS as though H834 K-RPRO I had not H3808 NADV been H1961 VQY1MS ; I should have been carried H2986 VOY1MS from the womb H990 M-CFS to the grave H6913 LD-NMS .
20 Are not H3808 I-NADV my days H3117 CMS-1MS few H4592 AMS ? cease H2308 W-VQY3MS then , and let me alone H7896 VQY3MS , that I may take comfort H1082 W-VHI1MS a little H4592 AMS ,
21 Before H2962 B-ADV I go H1980 VQY1MS whence I shall not H3808 W-NPAR return H7725 VQY1MS , even to H413 PREP the land H776 GFS of darkness H2822 NMS and the shadow of death H6757 W-NMS ;
22 A land H776 GFS of darkness H5890 NFS , as H3644 PREP darkness H652 NMS itself ; and of the shadow of death H6757 NMS , without H3808 W-NPAR any order H5468 NMP , and where the light H3313 W-VHY2MS is as H3644 PREP darkness H652 NMS .
