2 അന്നു ബാബേല്‍രാജാവിന്റെ സൈന്യം യെരൂശലേമിനെ നിരോധിച്ചിരുന്നു; യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകനോ യെഹൂദാരാജാവിന്റെ അരമനയുടെ കാവല്പുരമുറ്റത്തു അടെക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

3 ഞാന്‍ ഈ നഗരത്തെ ബാബേല്‍രാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യില്‍ ഏല്പിക്കും; അവന്‍ അതിനെ പിടിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നും

4 യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവു കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യില്‍നിന്നു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകാതെ, ബാബേല്‍രാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യില്‍ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടും; അവന്‍ ഇവനുമായി വായോടുവായ് സംസാരിക്കയും കണ്ണോടുകണ്ണു കാണുകയും ചെയ്യും;

5 അവന്‍ സിദെക്കീയാവെ ബാബേലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; ഞാന്‍ അവനെ സന്ദര്‍ശിക്കുംവരെ അവന്‍ അവിടെ ഇരിക്കും; നിങ്ങള്‍ കല്ദയരോടു യുദ്ധംചെയ്താലും നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു സാദ്ധ്യം ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്നും നീ പ്രവചിപ്പാന്‍ എന്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവു അവനെ അവിടെ അടെച്ചിരുന്നു.

6 യിരെമ്യാവു പറഞ്ഞതുയഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്‍

7 നിന്റെ ഇളയപ്പനായ ശല്ലൂമിന്റെ മകന്‍ ഹനമെയേല്‍ നിന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ വന്നുഅനാഥേത്തിലെ എന്റെ നിലം മേടിച്ചുകൊള്‍ക; അതു മേടിപ്പാന്‍ തക്കവണ്ണം വീണ്ടെടുപ്പിന്റെ അവകാശം നിനക്കുള്ളതല്ലോ എന്നു പറയും.

8 യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ എന്റെ ഇളയപ്പന്റെ മകന്‍ ഹനമെയേല്‍ കാവല്പുരമുറ്റത്തു എന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ വന്നുബെന്യാമീന്‍ ദേശത്തു അനാഥോത്തിലെ എന്റെ നിലം മേടിക്കേണമേ; അവകാശം നിനക്കുള്ളതല്ലോ, വീണ്ടെടുപ്പും നിനക്കുള്ളതു; നീ അതു മേടിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണം എന്നു എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു അതു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്നു ഞാന്‍ ഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

9 അങ്ങനെ ഞാന്‍ ഇളയപ്പന്റെ മകന്‍ ഹനമെയേലിനോടു അനാഥോത്തിലെ നിലം മേടിച്ചു, വില പതിനേഴു ശേക്കെല്‍ വെള്ളി തൂക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു.

10 ആധാരം എഴുതി മുദ്രയിട്ടു സാക്ഷികളെക്കൊണ്ടു ഒപ്പിടുവിച്ച ശേഷം ഞാന്‍ പണം അവന്നു തുലാസില്‍ തൂക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു.

11 ഇങ്ങനെ ന്യായവും പതിവും അനുസരിച്ചു മുദ്രയിട്ടിരുന്നതും തുറന്നിരുന്നതുമായ ആധാരങ്ങള്‍ ഞാന്‍ വാങ്ങി,

12 ഇളയപ്പന്റെ മകനായ ഹനമെയേലും ആധാരത്തില്‍ ഒപ്പിട്ടിരുന്ന സാക്ഷികളും കാവല്പുരമുറ്റത്തു ഇരുന്നിരുന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാരൊക്കെയും കാണ്‍കെ ആധാരം മഹസേയാവിന്റെ മകനായ നേര്‍യ്യാവിന്റെ മകന്‍ ബാരൂക്കിന്റെ പക്കല്‍ കൊടുത്തു.

13 അവര്‍ കേള്‍ക്കെ ഞാന്‍ ബാരൂക്കിനോടു കല്പിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാല്‍

14 യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുമുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതും തുറന്നിരിക്കുന്നതുമായ ഈ ആധാരങ്ങളെ മേടിച്ചു അവ ഏറിയകാലം നില്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം ഒരു മണ്‍പാത്രത്തില്‍ വെക്കുക.

15 ഇനിയും ഈ ദേശത്തു വീടുകളും നിലങ്ങളും മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളും ക്രയവിക്രയം ചെയ്യും എന്നു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

16 അങ്ങനെ ആധാരം നേര്‍യ്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ ബാരൂക്കിന്റെ പക്കല്‍ ഏല്പിച്ചശേഷം, ഞാന്‍ യഹോവയോടു പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാല്‍

17 അയ്യോ, യഹോവയായ കര്‍ത്താവേ, നിന്റെ മഹാശക്തികൊണ്ടും നീട്ടിയ ഭുജം കൊണ്ടും നീ ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി; നിനക്കു അസാദ്ധ്യമായതു ഒന്നുമില്ല.

18 നീ ആയിരം തലമുറയോളം ദയകാണിക്കയും പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നു അവരുടെ ശേഷം അവരുടെ മക്കളുടെ മാര്‍വ്വിടത്തില്‍ പകരം കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; മഹത്വവും വല്ലഭത്വവുമുള്ള ദൈവമേ, സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ എന്നല്ലോ നിന്റെ നാമം.

19 നീ ആലോചനയില്‍ വലിയവനും പ്രവൃത്തിയില്‍ ശക്തിമാനും ആകുന്നു; ഔരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ നടപ്പിന്നും പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ഫലത്തിന്നും തക്കവണ്ണം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ മനുഷ്യരുടെ എല്ലാവഴികളിന്മേലും ദൃഷ്ടിവെക്കുന്നു.

20 നീ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തും ഇന്നുവരെയും യിസ്രായേലിലും മറ്റു മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടയിലും അടയാളങ്ങളും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചു ഇന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ നിനക്കു ഒരു നാമം സമ്പാദിക്കുകയും

21 നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ അടയാളങ്ങള്‍കൊണ്ടും അത്ഭുതങ്ങള്‍കൊണ്ടും ബലമുള്ള കൈകൊണ്ടും നീട്ടിയ ഭുജംകൊണ്ടും മഹാഭീതികൊണ്ടും മിസ്രയീം ദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവരികയും

22 അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര്‍ക്കും കൊടുപ്പാന്‍ നീ അവരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്തതായി പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ഈ ദേശത്തെ അവര്‍ക്കും കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

23 അവര്‍ അതില്‍ കടന്നു അതിനെ കൈവശമാക്കി; എങ്കിലും അവര്‍ നിന്റെ വാക്കു അനുസരിക്കയോ നിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം പോലെ നടക്കയോ ചെയ്തില്ല; ചെയ്‍വാന്‍ നീ അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചതൊന്നും അവര്‍ ചെയ്തില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഈ അനര്‍ത്ഥം ഒക്കെയും നീ അവര്‍ക്കും വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

24 ഇതാ, വാടകള്‍! നഗരത്തെ പിടിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു! വാളും ക്ഷാമവും മഹാമാരിയും ഹേതുവായി ഈ നഗരം അതിന്നു നേരെ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്ന കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യില്‍ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ അരുളിചെയ്തതു സംഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ അതു കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ.

25 യഹോവയായ കര്‍ത്താവേ, നഗരം കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യില്‍ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കെ, നിലം വിലെക്കു മേടിച്ചു അതിന്നു സാക്ഷികളെ വേക്കുവാന്‍ നീ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

26 അപ്പോള്‍ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്‍

27 ഞാന്‍ സകലജഡത്തിന്റെയും ദൈവമായ യഹോവയാകുന്നു; എനിക്കു കഴിയാത്ത വല്ല കാര്യവും ഉണ്ടോ?

28 അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന്‍ ഈ നഗരത്തെ കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യിലും ബാബേല്‍രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ കയ്യിലും ഏല്പിക്കും; അവന്‍ അതിനെ പിടിക്കും.

29 ഈ നഗരത്തിന്റെ നേരെ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്ന കല്ദയര്‍ കടന്നു നഗരത്തിന്നു തീ വെച്ചു അതിനെ, എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു മേല്പുരകളില്‍വെച്ചു ബാലിന്നു ധൂപംകാട്ടി അന്യദേവന്മാര്‍ക്കും പാനീയ ബലി പകര്‍ന്നിരിക്കുന്ന വീടുകളോടുകൂടെ ചുട്ടുകളയും.

30 യിസ്രായേല്‍മക്കളും യെഹൂദാമക്കളും ബാല്യംമുതല്‍ എനിക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു മാത്രം ചെയ്തുവന്നു; യിസ്രായേല്‍മക്കള്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികള്‍കൊണ്ടു എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചതേയുള്ളു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

31 അവര്‍ ഈ നഗരത്തെ പാണിത നാള്‍മുതല്‍ ഇന്നുവരെയും ഞാന്‍ അതിനെ എന്റെ മുമ്പില്‍നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയത്തക്കവണ്ണം അതു എനിക്കു കോപവും ക്രോധവും വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

32 എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യിസ്രായേല്‍മക്കളും യെഹൂദാമക്കളും അവരുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാരും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരും യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളും ചെയ്ത സകലദോഷവുംനിമിത്തം തന്നേ.

33 അവര്‍ മുഖമല്ല, പുറമത്രേ എങ്കലേക്കു തിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു; ഞാന്‍ ഇടവിടാതെ അവരെ ഉപദേശിച്ചു പഠിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടും ഉപദേശം കൈക്കൊള്‍വാന്‍ അവര്‍ മനസ്സുവെച്ചില്ല.

34 എന്റെ നാമം വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ആലയത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുവാന്‍ തക്കവണ്ണം അവര്‍ അതില്‍ മ്ളേച്ഛവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചു.

35 മോലെക്കിന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ദഹിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര്‍ ബെന്‍ ഹിന്നോം താഴ്വരയില്‍ ബാലിന്റെ പൂജാഗിരികളെ പണിതു; ഈ മ്ളേച്ചതകളെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചു യെഹൂദയെക്കൊണ്ടു പാപം ചെയ്യിപ്പാന്‍ ഞാന്‍ അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; എന്റെ മനസ്സില്‍ അതു തോന്നീട്ടുമില്ല.

36 ഇപ്പോള്‍, വാള്‍, ക്ഷാമം, മഹാമാരി എന്നിവയാല്‍ ബാബേല്‍രാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യില്‍ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള്‍ പറയുന്ന ഈ നഗരത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു;

37 എന്റെ കോപത്തിലും ക്രോധത്തിലും മഹാരോഷത്തിലും ഞാന്‍ അവരെ നീക്കക്കളഞ്ഞ സകലദേശങ്ങളില്‍നിന്നും ഞാന്‍ അവരെ ശേഖരിക്കും; ഞാന്‍ അവരെ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു മടക്കിവരുത്തി അതില്‍ നിര്‍ഭയമായി വസിക്കുമാറാക്കും;

38 അവര്‍ എനിക്കു ജനമായും ഞാന്‍ അവര്‍ക്കും ദൈവമായും ഇരിക്കും.

39 അവര്‍ക്കും അവരുടെ ശേഷം അവരുടെ മക്കള്‍ക്കും ഗണംവരത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവര്‍ എന്നെ എന്നേക്കും ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന്‍ അവര്‍ക്കും ഏകമനസ്സും ഏകമാര്‍ഗ്ഗവും കൊടുക്കും.

40 ഞാന്‍ അവരെ വിട്ടുപിരിയാതെ അവര്‍ക്കും നന്മ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഞാന്‍ അവരോടു ഒരു ശാശ്വതനിയമം ചെയ്യും; അവര്‍ എന്നെ വിട്ടുമാറാതെയിരിപ്പാന്‍ എങ്കലുള്ള ഭക്തി ഞാന്‍ അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ ആക്കും.

41 ഞാന്‍ അവരില്‍ സന്തോഷിച്ചു അവര്‍ക്കും ഗുണം ചെയ്യും. ഞാന്‍ പൂര്‍ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂര്‍ണ്ണമനസ്സോടും കൂടെ അവരെ ഈ ദേശത്തു നടും.

42 യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന്‍ ഈ ജനത്തിന്നു ഈ വലിയ അനര്‍ത്ഥമൊക്കെയും വരുത്തിയതുപോലെ തന്നേ ഞാന്‍ അവര്‍ക്കും വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാനന്മയും അവര്‍ക്കും വരുത്തും.

43 മനുഷ്യനും മൃഗവും ഇല്ലാതെ ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു, കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യില്‍ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള്‍ പറയുന്ന ഈ ദേശത്തു അവര്‍ നിലങ്ങളെ വിലെക്കു മേടിക്കും.

44 ഞാന്‍ അവരുടെ പ്രവാസികളെ മടക്കിവരുത്തുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ബെന്യാമീന്‍ ദേശത്തും യെരൂശലേമിന്നു ചുറ്റുമുള്ള പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളിലും മലനാട്ടിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും താഴ്വീതിയിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും തെക്കെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും ആളുകള്‍ നിലങ്ങളെ വിലെക്കു മേടിച്ചു ആധാരങ്ങള്‍ എഴുതി മുദ്രയിട്ടു സാക്ഷികളെയും വേക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

1 At the same ^H1931 time, ^H6256 saith ^H5002 the LORD, ^H3068 will I be ^H1961 the God ^H430 of all ^H3605 the families ^H4940 of Israel, ^H3478 and they ^H1992 shall be ^H1961 my people. ^H5971

8 Behold ^H2009 , I will bring ^H935 them from the north ^H6828 country ^H4480 ^H776 , and gather ^H6908 them from the coasts ^H4480 ^H3411 of the earth, ^H776 and with them the blind ^H5787 and the lame, ^H6455 the woman with child ^H2029 and her that travaileth with child ^H3205 together: ^H3162 a great ^H1419 company ^H6951 shall return ^H7725 thither. ^H2008
