1 ആരോഹണഗീതം
2 എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയില്‍ ഞാന്‍ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന്‍ എനിക്കു ഉത്തരം അരുളുകയും ചെയ്തു.
3 യഹോവേ, വ്യാജമുള്ള അധരങ്ങളെയും വഞ്ചനയുള്ള നാവിനെയും തടുത്തു എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ.
4 വഞ്ചനയുള്ള നാവേ, നിനക്കു എന്തു വരും? നിനക്കു ഇനി എന്തു കിട്ടും?
5 വീരന്റെ മൂര്‍ച്ചയുള്ള അസ്ത്രങ്ങളും പൂവത്തിന്‍ കനലും തന്നേ.
6 ഞാന്‍ മേശെക്കില്‍ പ്രവാസം ചെയ്യുന്നതുകൊണ്ടും കേദാര്‍ക്കുംടാരങ്ങളില്‍ പാര്‍ക്കുംന്നതുകൊണ്ടും എനിക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!
7 സമാധാനദ്വേഷിയോടുകൂടെ പാര്‍ക്കുംന്നതു എനിക്കു മതിമതിയായി.
8 ഞാന്‍ സമാധാനപ്രിയനാകുന്നു; ഞാന്‍ സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോഴോ അവര്‍ കലശല്‍ തുടങ്ങുന്നു.
