ERVTA   அந்நகரங்கள் அனைத்தும் வலிமை வாய்ந்தவையாக இருந்தன. அவை உயர்ந்த மதில்களையும், உறுதியான கதவுகளையும், வலிமையான தாழ்ப்பாள்களையும் கொண்டிருந்தன.
RCTA   அந்த நகர்களெல்லாம் மிகவும் உயர்ந்த மதில்களாலும் வாயில்களாலும் தாழ்ப்பாள்களாலும் அரண் செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தன. அன்றியும், மதில்கள் இல்லாத நகர்களும் பல இருந்தன.
