7 মর্দখয় আপন পিতৃব্যের কন্যা হদসাকে অর্থাৎ ইষ্টেরকে প্রতিপালন করিতেন; কারণ তাঁহার পিতা কি মাতা ছিল না। সেই কন্যা সুন্দরী রূপবতী ছিলেন; তাঁহার পিতামাতা মরিলে পর মর্দখয় তাঁহাকে পোষ্যপুত্রী করিয়াছিলেন।

ERVTE   హదస్సా అనే ఒక అమ్మాయి వుంది. ఆమె మొర్దెకైకి పినతండ్రి కూతురు. ఆమె తల్లితండ్రులు మరణించినప్పుడు, మొర్దకై ఆమెని చేరదీసి, తన సొంత కూతురులా పెంచి పోషించాడు. హదస్సాకి ఎస్తేరు అనే పేరుకూడా వుంది. ఎస్తేరు అందమైన రూపమును సుందర ముఖమును గలదై యుండెను.

ERVKN   ಇವನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇವನ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಹದೆಸ್ಸಾ ಎಂಬ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆ ಇದ್ದಳು. ಈಕೆ ತಂದೆಯೂ ತಾಯಿಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲದ ತಬ್ಬಲಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಳು. ಈಕೆಯ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳು ಸತ್ತಂದಿನಿಂದ ಈಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈಯು ತನ್ನ ಮಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿ ಸಾಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಹದೆಸ್ಸಾಳನ್ನು ಎಸ್ತೇರ್ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ತುಂಬಾ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಈಕೆ ಆಕರ್ಷಕಳಾಗಿದ್ದಳು.
