ERVTE   శాస్త్రులారా! పరిసయ్యులారా! మీకు శిక్ష తప్పదు. మీరు మోసాలు చేస్తారు. వితంతువుల యిళ్ళు దోస్తారు. ఇతర్లు చూడాలని గంటల కొలది ప్రార్థిస్తారు. కనుక మీకు అందరికన్నా తీవ్రమైన శిక్ష లభిస్తుంది.

HOV   तुम मनुष्यों के विरोध में स्वर्ग के राज्य का द्वार बन्द करते हो, न तो आप ही उस में प्रवेश करते हो और न उस में प्रवेश करने वालों को प्रवेश करने देते हो॥
GUV   અરે, ઓ શાસ્ત્રીઓ તથા ફરોશીઓ; ઢોંગીઓ, તમને અફસોસ છે! કારણ કે તમે વિધવાઓની મિલકત હડપ કરી જાઓ છો અને ઢોંગ કરીને લાંબી પ્રાર્થનાઓ કરો છો તે માટે તમને સખત સજા થશે.
