2 Kings 24:1 (WEB) World English Bible

1 In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.
2 Yahweh sent against him bands of the Chaldeans, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of Yahweh, which he spoke by his servants the prophets.
3 Surely at the commandment of Yahweh came this on Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did,
4 and also for the innocent blood that he shed; for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood: and Yahweh would not pardon.
5 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
6 So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers; and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his place.
7 The king of Egypt didn't come again out of his land any more; for the king of Babylon had taken, from the brook of Egypt to the river Euphrates, all that pertained to the king of Egypt.
8 Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign; and he reigned in Jerusalem three months: and his mother's name was Nehushta the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.
9 He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, according to all that his father had done.
10 At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up to Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.
11 Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to the city, while his servants were besieging it;
12 and Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.
13 He carried out there all the treasures of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold, which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of Yahweh, as Yahweh had said.
14 He carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valor, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and the smiths; none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.
15 He carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon; and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and the chief men of the land, carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.
16 All the men of might, even seven thousand, and the craftsmen and the smiths one thousand, all of them strong and apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.
17 The king of Babylon made Mattaniah, Jehoiachin's father's brother, king is his place, and changed his name to Zedekiah.
18 Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
19 He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
20 For through the anger of Yahweh did it happen in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence. Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

3 Surely H389 ADV at H5921 PREP the commandment H6310 of the LORD H3068 EDS came H1961 VQP3FS this upon Judah H3063 , to remove H5493 L-VHFC them out of PREP his sight H6440 CMP-3MS , for the sins H2403 of Manasseh H4519 , according to all H3605 K-NMS that H834 RPRO he did H6213 VQQ3MS ;
4 And also H1571 W-CONJ for the innocent H5355 blood H1818 that H834 RPRO he shed H8210 : for he filled H4390 Jerusalem H3389 with innocent H5355 AMS blood H1818 NMS ; which the LORD H3068 EDS would H14 not H3808 W-NPAR pardon H5545 .
5 Now the rest H3499 of the acts H1697 CMP of Jehoiakim H3079 , and all H3605 W-CMS that H834 RPRO he did H6213 VQQ3MS , are they H1992 PPRO-3MP not H3808 I-NADV written H3789 in H5921 PREP the book H5612 CMS of the chronicles H1697 CMP of the kings H4428 of Judah H3063 ?
6 So Jehoiakim H3079 slept H7901 W-VQY3MS with H5973 PREP his fathers H1 : and Jehoiachin H3078 his son H1121 CMS-3MS reigned H4427 in his stead H8478 .
7 And the king H4428 NMS of Egypt H4714 EFS came H3318 not H3808 W-NPAR again H3254 any more H5750 ADV out of his land H776 : for H3588 CONJ the king H4428 NMS of Babylon H894 LFS had taken H3947 VQQ3MS from the river H5104 of Egypt H4714 EFS unto H5704 PREP the river H5158 Euphrates H6578 all H3605 NMS that H834 RPRO pertained H1961 VQQ3FS to the king H4428 NMS of Egypt H4714 .
8 Jehoiachin H3078 was eighteen H8083 MFS years H8141 NFS old H1121 when he began to reign H4427 , and he reigned H4427 in Jerusalem H3389 three H7969 months H2320 . And his mother H517 GFS-3MS \'s name H8034 W-CMS was Nehushta H5179 , the daughter H1323 of Elnathan H494 of Jerusalem H3389 .
9 And he did H6213 W-VQY3MS that which was evil H7451 in the sight H5869 B-CMP of the LORD H3068 EDS , according to all H3605 K-NMS that H834 RPRO his father H1 had done H6213 W-VQY3MS .
10 At that H1931 time H6256 the servants H5650 of Nebuchadnezzar H5019 king H4428 NMS of Babylon H894 LFS came up H5927 against Jerusalem H3389 , and the city H5892 D-GFS was besieged H935 W-VQY3FS .
11 And Nebuchadnezzar H5019 king H4428 NMS of Babylon H894 LFS came H935 W-VQY3MS against H5921 PREP the city H5892 D-GFS , and his servants H5650 W-CMS-3MS did besiege H6696 it .
12 And Jehoiachin H3078 the king H4428 NMS of Judah H3063 went out H3318 W-VQY3MS to H5921 PREP the king H4428 NMS of Babylon H894 LFS , he H1931 PPRO-3MS , and his mother H517 , and his servants H5650 W-CMS-3MS , and his princes H8269 , and his officers H5631 : and the king H4428 NMS of Babylon H894 LFS took H3947 W-VQY3MS him in the eighth H8083 MFS year H8141 B-CFS of his reign H4427 .
13 And he carried out H3318 thence H8033 M-ADV all H3605 NMS the treasures H214 of the house H1004 CMS of the LORD H3068 EDS , and the treasures H214 of the king H4428 NMS \'s house H1004 CMS , and cut in pieces H7112 all H3605 NMS the vessels H3627 of gold H2091 which H834 RPRO Solomon H8010 MMS king H4428 NMS of Israel H3478 had made H6213 VQQ3MS in the temple H1964 of the LORD H3068 EDS , as H834 RPRO the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS had said H1696 VPQ3MS .
14 And he carried away H1540 all H3605 NMS Jerusalem H3389 , and all H3605 NMS the princes H8269 , and all H3605 NMS the mighty men H1368 of valor H2428 , even ten H6235 thousand H505 MMP captives H1540 , and all H3605 NMS the craftsmen H2796 and smiths H4525 : none H3808 NADV remained H7604 VNQ3MS , save H2108 the poorest sort H1803 of the people H5971 NMS of the land H776 D-GFS .
15 And he carried away H1540 Jehoiachin H3078 to Babylon H894 , and the king H4428 D-NMS \'s mother H517 GFS , and the king H4428 D-NMS \'s wives H802 GFP , and his officers H5631 , and the mighty H352 of the land H776 D-GFS , those carried H1980 he into captivity H1473 from Jerusalem H3389 to Babylon H894 .
16 And all H3605 NMS the men H376 of might H2428 , even seven H7651 RMS thousand H505 MMP , and craftsmen H2796 and smiths H4525 a thousand H505 W-BMS , all H3605 NMS that were strong H1368 and apt H6213 for war H4421 NFS , even them the king H4428 NMS of Babylon H894 LFS brought H935 captive H1473 to Babylon H894 .
17 And the king H4428 NMS of Babylon H894 LFS made H4427 Mattaniah H4983 his father\'s brother H1730 king H4427 in his stead H8478 PREP-3MS , and changed H5437 his name H8034 CMS-3MS to Zedekiah H6667 .
18 Zedekiah H6667 was twenty H6242 and one H259 years H8141 NFS old H1121 when he began to reign H4427 , and he reigned H4427 eleven H259 years H8141 NFS in Jerusalem H3389 . And his mother H517 GFS-3MS \'s name H8034 W-CMS was Hamutal H2537 , the daughter H1323 of Jeremiah H3414 of Libnah H3841 .
19 And he did H6213 W-VQY3MS that which was evil H7451 in the sight H5869 B-CMP of the LORD H3068 EDS , according to all H3605 K-NMS that H834 RPRO Jehoiakim H3079 had done H6213 W-VQY3MS .
20 For H3588 CONJ through H5921 PREP the anger H639 CMS of the LORD H3068 EDS it came to pass H1961 VQQ3FS in Jerusalem H3389 and Judah H3063 , until H5704 PREP he had cast them out H7993 from PREP his presence H6440 CMP-3MS , that Zedekiah H6667 rebelled H4775 against the king H4428 of Babylon H894 .
