Genesis 8:1 (WEB) World English Bible

1 God remembered Noah, all the animals, and all the cattle that were with him in the ark; and God made a wind to pass over the earth. The waters subsided.
2 The deep's fountains and the sky's windows were also stopped, and the rain from the sky was restrained.
3 The waters receded from off the earth continually. After the end of one hundred fifty days the waters decreased.
4 The ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on Ararat's mountains.
5 The waters receded continually until the tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen.
6 It happened at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made,
7 and he sent forth a raven. It went back and forth, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.
8 He sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the surface of the ground,
9 but the dove found no place to rest her foot, and she returned to him into the ark; for the waters were on the surface of the whole earth. He put forth his hand, and took her, and brought her to him into the ark.
10 He stayed yet another seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark.
11 The dove came back to him at evening, and, behold, in her mouth was an olive leaf plucked off. So Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
12 He stayed yet another seven days, and sent forth the dove; and she didn't return to him any more.
13 It happened in the six hundred first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth. Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked. He saw that the surface of the ground was dried.
14 In the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry.
15 God spoke to Noah, saying,
16 "Go forth from the ark, you, and your wife, and your sons, and your sons' wives with you.
17 Bring forth with you every living thing that is with you of all flesh, including birds, cattle, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply on the earth."
18 Noah went forth, with his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives with him.
19 Every animal, every creeping thing, and every bird, whatever moves on the earth, after their families, went forth out of the ark.
20 Noah built an altar to Yahweh, and took of every clean animal, and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
21 Yahweh smelled the sweet savor. Yahweh said in his heart, "I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake, because the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I ever again strike everything living, as I have done.
22 While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."

2 The fountains H4599 CFP also of the deep H8415 NMS and the windows H699 W-CFP of heaven H8064 D-AMP were stopped H5534 W-VNY3MP , and the rain H1653 D-NMS from H4480 PREP heaven H8064 D-AMD was restrained H3607 W-VNY3MS ;
3 And the waters H4325 D-CMS returned H7725 W-VUY3MP from off H5921 M-PREP the earth H776 D-GFS continually H1980 VQFA : and after the end H7097 M-CMS of the hundred H3967 W-BFS and fifty H2572 MMP days H3117 NMS the waters H4325 D-CMS were abated H2637 W-VQY3MP .
4 And the ark H8392 D-NFS rested H5117 W-VQY3FS in the seventh H7637 D-ONUM month H2320 BD-NMS , on the seventeenth H7651 B-MMS day H3117 NMS of the month H2320 LD-NMS , upon H5921 PREP the mountains H2022 CMP of Ararat H780 LFS .
5 And the waters H4325 WD-NMD decreased H2637 W-VQFA continually H1980 VQFA until H5704 PREP the tenth H6224 D-MMS month H2320 D-NMS : in the tenth H6224 BD-OMS month , on the first H259 B-NMS day of the month H2320 LD-NMS , were the tops H7218 CMP of the mountains H2022 D-NMP seen H7200 VNQ3MP .
6 And it came to pass H1961 W-VPY3MS at the end H7093 M-CMS of forty H705 MMP days H3117 NMS , that Noah H5146 EMS opened H6605 W-VQY3MS the window H2474 CMS of the ark H8392 D-NFS which H834 RPRO he had made H6213 VQQ3MS :
7 And he sent forth W-VPY3MS a raven H6158 D-NMS , which went forth H3318 W-VQY3MS to and fro H3318 VQFA , until H5704 PREP the waters H4325 D-CMS were dried up H3001 VQFC from off H5921 M-PREP the earth H776 D-GFS .
8 Also he sent forth W-VPY3MS a dove H3123 D-NFS from M-PART-3MS him , to see H7200 L-VQFC if the waters H4325 D-CMS were abated H7043 VQQ3MP from off H5921 M-PREP the face H6440 CMP of the ground H127 D-NFS ;
9 But the dove H3123 D-NFS found H4672 VQQ3FS no H3808 W-NPAR rest H4494 NMS for the sole H3709 L-CFS of her foot H7272 CFS-3FS , and she returned H7725 W-VQY3FS unto H413 PREP-3MS him into H413 PREP the ark H8392 D-NFS , for H3588 CONJ the waters H4325 OMD were on H5921 PREP the face H6440 CMP of the whole H3605 CMS earth H776 D-GFS : then he put forth H7971 W-VQY3MS his hand H3027 CFS-3MS , and took H3947 W-VQY3MS her , and pulled her in W-VHY3MS unto H413 PREP-3MS him into H413 PREP the ark H8392 D-NFS .
10 And he stayed H2342 W-VQY3MS yet H5750 ADV other H312 AMP seven H7651 RMS days H3117 NMP ; and again H3254 W-VHPMS he sent forth VPFC the dove H3123 D-NFS out of H4480 PREP the ark H8392 D-NFS ;
11 And the dove H3123 D-NFS came in H935 W-VQY3FS to H413 PREP-3MS him in H6256 L-CMS the evening H6153 NUM-MS ; and , lo H2009 IJEC , in her mouth H6310 B-NMS-3FS was an olive H2132 NMS leaf H5929 CMS plucked off H2965 AMS : so Noah H5146 EMS knew H3045 W-VQY3MS that H3588 CONJ the waters H4325 D-CMS were abated H7043 VQQ3MP from off H5921 M-PREP the earth H776 D-GFS .
12 And he stayed H3176 W-VNY3MS yet H5750 ADV other H312 AMP seven H7651 RMS days H3117 NMP ; and sent forth W-VPY3MS the dove H3123 D-NFS ; which returned H7725 VQFC not H3808 W-NPAR again H3254 VQQ3FS unto H413 PREP-3MS him any more H5750 ADV .
13 And it came to pass H1961 W-VPY3MS in the six H8337 W-RFS hundredth H3967 BFP and first H259 B-RFS year H8141 NFS , in the first H7223 BD-AMS month , the first H259 B-NMS day of the month H2320 LD-NMS , the waters H4325 D-CMS were dried up H2717 VQQ3MP from off H5921 M-PREP the earth H776 D-GFS : and Noah H5146 EMS removed H5493 W-VHY3MS the covering H4372 CMS of the ark H8392 D-NFS , and looked H7200 W-VIY3MS , and , behold H2009 IJEC , the face H6440 CMP of the ground H127 D-NFS was dry H2717 VQQ3MP .
14 And in the second H8145 D-ONUM month H2320 WBD-NMS , on the seven H7651 B-MMS and twentieth H6242 W-MMP day H3117 NMS of the month H2320 LD-NMS , was the earth H776 D-GFS dried H3001 VQQ3FS .
15 And God H430 EDP spoke H1696 W-VPY3MS unto H413 PREP Noah H5146 EMS , saying H559 L-VQFC ,
16 Go forth H3318 VQI2MS of H4480 PREP the ark H8392 D-NFS , thou H859 PPRO-2MS , and thy wife H802 W-CFS-2MS , and thy sons H1121 W-CMP-2MS , and thy sons H1121 CMP-2MS \' wives H802 W-GMP with H854 PART-2FS thee .
17 Bring forth H3318 VHIMS with H854 PART-2MS thee every H3605 NMS living thing H2416 D-NFS that H834 RPRO is with H854 PART-2MS thee , of all H3605 NMS flesh H1320 NMS , both of fowl H5775 BD-NMS , and of cattle H929 WB-NFS , and of every H3605 NMS creeping thing H7431 D-NMS that creepeth H7430 D-NMS upon H5921 PREP the earth H776 D-GFS ; that they may breed abundantly H8317 W-VQQ3MP in the earth H776 BD-GFS , and be fruitful H6509 W-VQQ3MP , and multiply H7235 W-VQQ3MP upon H5921 PREP the earth H776 D-GFS .
18 And Noah H5146 EMS went forth H3318 W-VQY3MS , and his sons H1121 W-CMP-3MS , and his wife H802 W-CFS-3MS , and his sons H1121 CMP-3MS \' wives H802 W-GMP with H854 PREP-3MS him :
19 Every H3605 NMS beast H2416 D-AFS , every H3605 NMS creeping thing H7431 D-NMS , and every H3605 NMS fowl H5775 D-NMS , and whatsoever H3605 NMS creepeth H7430 VQPMS upon H5921 PREP the earth H776 D-GFS , after their kinds H4940 L-CFP-3MP , went forth H3318 VQQ3MP out of H4480 PREP the ark H8392 D-NFS .
20 And Noah H5146 EMS built H1129 W-VQY3MS an altar H4196 NMS unto the LORD H3068 L-EDS ; and took H3947 W-VQY3MS of every H3605 M-CMS clean H2889 D-AFS beast H929 D-NFS , and of every H3605 WM-CMS clean H2889 D-AMS fowl H5775 D-NMS , and offered H5927 W-VHY3MS burnt offerings H5930 NFP on the altar H4196 BD-NMS .
21 And the LORD H3068 EDS smelled H7306 W-VOY3MS a sweet H5207 D-NMS savor H7381 CMS ; and the LORD H3068 EDS said H559 W-VQY3MS in H413 PREP his heart H3820 NMS , I will not H3808 ADV again H3254 VHY1MS curse H7043 L-VPFC the ground H127 D-NFS any more H5750 ADV for man\'s sake H5668 B-NMS ; for H3588 CONJ the imagination H3336 CMS of man H120 D-NMS \'s heart H3820 NMS is evil H7451 AMS from his youth H5271 M-CMP-3MS ; neither H3808 ADV will I again H3254 VHY1MS smite H5221 L-VHFC any more H5750 ADV every thing H3605 NMS living H2416 AMS , as H834 K-RPRO I have done H6213 VQQ1MS .
22 While H5750 ADV the earth H776 D-GFS remaineth H3605 NMS , seedtime H2233 NMS and harvest H7105 W-NMS , and cold H7120 W-NMS and heat H2527 W-NMS , and summer H7019 W-NMS and winter H2779 W-NMS , and day H3117 W-NMS and night H3915 W-NMS shall not H3808 NADV cease H7673 VQY3MP .
