1 John 5:1 (MKJV) Modern King James Version

1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God. And everyone who loves Him who begets also loves him who has been born of Him.
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, whenever we love God and keep His commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome.
4 For everything that has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith.
5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 This is He who came through water and blood, Jesus Christ, not by water only, but by the water and blood. And the Spirit is He who bears witness, because the Spirit is the truth.
7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness on the earth: the Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and the three are into the one.
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater. For this is the witness of God which He has testified about His Son.
10 He who believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself. He who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he does not believe the record that God gave of His Son.
11 And this is the record, that God has given to us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son.
12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
13 I have written these things to you who believe on the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have everlasting life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God.
14 And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.
16 If anyone sees his brother sin a sin not to death, he shall ask, and He shall give him life for those that do not sin to death. There is a sin to death, I do not say that he shall pray for it.
17 All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not to death.
18 We know that everyone who has been born of God does not continue to sin, but the one born of God guards himself, and the evil one does not touch him.
19 We know that we are of God, and all the world lies in evil.
20 And we know that the Son of God has come, and He has given us an understanding so that we may know Him who is true. And we are in Him that is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and the everlasting life.
21 Little children, guard yourselves from idols. Amen.

2 By G1722 PREP this G5129 D-DSN we know G1097 V-PAI-1P that G3754 CONJ we love G25 V-PAI-1P the G3588 T-APN children G5043 N-APN of God G2316 N-GSM , when G3752 CONJ we G3588 T-ASM love G25 V-PAI-1P God G2316 N-ASM , and G2532 CONJ keep G5083 V-PAS-1P his G3588 T-APF commandments G1785 N-APF .
3 For G1063 CONJ this G3778 D-NSF is G2076 V-PXI-3S the G3588 T-NSF love G26 N-NSF of God G2316 N-GSM , that G2443 CONJ we keep G5083 V-PAS-1P his G3588 T-APF commandments G1785 N-APF : and G2532 CONJ his G3588 T-NPF commandments G1785 N-NPF are G1526 V-PXI-3P not G3756 PRT-N grievous G926 A-NPF .
4 For G3754 CONJ whatsoever G3956 A-NSN is born G1080 V-RPP-NSN of G3588 T-GSM God G2316 N-GSM overcometh G3528 V-PAI-3S the G3588 T-ASM world G2889 N-ASM : and G2532 CONJ this G3778 D-NSF is G2076 V-PXI-3S the G3588 T-NSF victory G3529 N-NSF that overcometh G3528 V-AAP-NSF the G3588 T-ASM world G2889 N-ASM , even our G3588 T-NSF faith G4102 N-NSF .
5 Who G5101 I-NSM is G2076 V-PXI-3S he that overcometh G3528 V-PAP-NSM the G3588 T-ASM world G2889 N-ASM , but G1508 he that believeth G4100 V-PAP-NSM that G3754 CONJ Jesus G2424 N-NSM is G2076 V-PXI-3S the G3588 T-NSM Son G5207 N-NSM of God G2316 N-GSM ?
6 This G3778 D-NSM is G2076 V-PXI-3S he that came G2064 V-2AAP-NSM by G1223 PREP water G5204 N-GSN and G2532 CONJ blood G129 N-GSN , even Jesus G2424 N-NSM Christ G5547 N-NSM ; not G3756 PRT-N by G1722 PREP water G5204 N-DSN only G3440 ADV , but G235 CONJ by G1722 PREP water G5204 N-DSN and G2532 CONJ blood G129 N-DSN . And G2532 CONJ it is G2076 V-PXI-3S the G3588 T-NSN Spirit G4151 N-NSN that beareth witness G3140 V-PAP-NSN , because G3754 CONJ the G3588 T-NSN Spirit G4151 N-NSN is G2076 V-PXI-3S truth G225 N-NSF .
7 For G3754 CONJ there are G1526 V-PXI-3P three G5140 A-NPM that bear record G3140 V-PAP-NPM in G1722 heaven G3772 , the G3588 T-NPM Father G3962 , the G3588 T-NPM Word G3056 , and G2532 the G3588 T-NPM Holy G40 Ghost G4151 : and G2532 these G3778 three G5140 A-NPM are G1526 V-PXI-3P one G1520 .
8 And G2532 CONJ there are G1526 V-PXI-3P three G5140 A-NPM that bear witness G3140 in G1722 earth G1093 , the G3588 T-NSN spirit G4151 N-NSN , and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSN water G5204 N-NSN , and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSN blood G129 N-NSN : and G2532 CONJ these three G5140 A-NPM agree G1526 V-PXI-3P in G1519 PREP one G1520 A-ASN .
9 If G1487 COND we receive G2983 V-PAI-1P the G3588 T-ASF witness G3141 N-ASF of men G444 N-GPM , the G3588 T-NSF witness G3141 N-NSF of God G2316 N-GSM is G2076 V-PXI-3S greater G3187 A-NSF-C : for G3754 CONJ this G3778 D-NSF is G2076 V-PXI-3S the G3588 T-NSF witness G3141 N-NSF of God G2316 N-GSM which G3739 R-ASF he hath testified G3140 V-RAI-3S of G4012 PREP his G3588 T-GSM Son G5207 N-GSM .
10 He that believeth G4100 V-PAP-NSM on G1519 PREP the G3588 T-ASM Son G5207 N-ASM of God G2316 N-GSM hath G2192 V-PAI-3S the G3588 T-ASF witness G3141 N-ASF in G1722 PREP himself G1438 : he G3588 T-NSM that G3588 T-NSM believeth G4100 V-PAP-NSM not G3361 PRT-N God G2316 N-DSM hath made G4160 V-RAI-3S him G846 P-DSM a liar G5583 N-ASM ; because G3754 CONJ he believeth G4100 V-RAI-3S not G3756 PRT-N the G3588 T-ASF record G3141 N-ASF that G3588 T-NSM God G2316 N-NSM gave G3140 V-RAI-3S of G4012 PREP his G3588 T-GSM Son G5207 N-GSM .
11 And G2532 CONJ this G3778 D-NSF is G2076 V-PXI-3S the G3588 T-NSF record G3141 N-NSF , that G3588 T-NSM God G2316 N-NSM hath given G1325 V-AAI-3S to us G2254 P-1DP eternal G166 A-ASF life G2222 N-ASF , and G2532 CONJ this G3588 T-NSF life G2222 N-NSF is G2076 V-PXI-3S in G1722 PREP his G3588 T-DSM Son G5207 N-DSM .
12 He that hath G2192 V-PAP-NSM the G3588 T-ASM Son G5207 N-ASM hath G2192 V-PAI-3S life G2222 N-ASF : and he G3588 T-NSM that G3588 T-NSM hath G2192 V-PAP-NSM not G3361 PRT-N the G3588 T-ASM Son G5207 N-ASM of God G2316 N-GSM hath G2192 V-PAI-3S not G3756 PRT-N life G2222 N-ASF .
13 These things G5023 D-APN have I written G1125 V-AAI-1S unto you G3588 T-DPM that believe G4100 V-PAP-DPM on G1519 PREP the G3588 T-ASN name G3686 N-ASN of G3588 T-GSM the G3588 T-GSM Son G5207 N-GSM of God G2316 N-GSM ; that G2443 CONJ ye may know G1492 V-RAS-2P that G3754 CONJ ye have G2192 V-PAI-2P eternal G166 A-ASF life G2222 N-ASF , and G2532 CONJ that G2443 CONJ ye may believe G4100 V-PAS-2P on G1519 PREP the G3588 T-ASN name G3686 N-ASN of G3588 T-GSM the G3588 T-GSM Son G5207 N-GSM of God G2316 N-GSM .
14 And G2532 CONJ this G3778 D-NSF is G2076 V-PXI-3S the G3588 T-NSF confidence G3954 N-NSF that G3739 R-ASF we have G2192 V-PAI-1P in G4314 PREP him G846 P-ASM , that G3754 CONJ , if G1437 COND we ask G154 V-PMS-1P any thing G5100 X-ASN according G2596 PREP to his G3588 T-ASN will G2307 N-ASN , he heareth G191 V-PAI-3S us G2257 P-1GP :
15 And G2532 CONJ if G1437 COND we know G1492 V-RAI-1P that G3754 CONJ he hear G191 V-PAI-3S us G2257 P-1GP , whatsoever G3739 R-ASN we ask G154 V-PMS-1P , we know G1492 V-RAI-1P that G3754 CONJ we have G2192 V-PAI-1P the G3588 T-APN petitions G155 N-APN that G3739 R-APN we desired G154 V-RAI-1P of G3844 PREP him G846 P-GSM .
16 If G1437 COND any man G5100 X-NSM see G1492 V-2AAS-3S his G3588 T-ASM brother G80 N-ASM sin G264 V-PAP-ASM a sin G266 N-ASF which is not G3361 PRT-N unto G4314 PREP death G2288 N-ASM , he shall ask G154 V-FAI-3S , and G2532 CONJ he shall give G1325 V-FAI-3S him G846 P-GSM life G2222 N-ASF for them that sin G264 V-PAP-DPM not G3361 PRT-N unto G4314 PREP death G2288 N-ASM . There is G2076 V-PXI-3S a sin G266 N-NSF unto G4314 PREP death G2288 N-ASM : I do not G3756 PRT-N say G3004 V-PAI-1S that G2443 CONJ he shall pray G2065 V-AAS-3S for G4012 PREP it G1565 D-GSF .
17 All G3956 A-NSF unrighteousness G93 N-NSF is G2076 V-PXI-3S sin G266 N-NSF : and G2532 CONJ there is G2076 V-PXI-3S a sin G266 N-NSF not G3756 PRT-N unto G4314 PREP death G2288 N-ASM .
18 We know G1492 V-RAI-1P that G3754 CONJ whosoever G3588 T-NSM is born G1080 V-RPP-NSM of G3588 T-GSM God G2316 N-GSM sinneth G264 V-PAI-3S not G3756 PRT-N ; but G235 CONJ he that is begotten G1080 V-APP-NSM of G3588 T-GSM God G2316 N-GSM keepeth G5083 V-PAI-3S himself G1438 F-3ASM , and G2532 CONJ that wicked one G4190 A-NSM toucheth G680 V-PMI-3S him G846 P-GSM not G3756 PRT-N .
19 And we know G1492 V-RAI-1P that G3754 CONJ we are G2070 V-PXI-1P of G3588 T-GSM God G2316 N-GSM , and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-GSM whole G3650 A-NSM world G2889 N-NSM lieth G2749 V-PNI-3S in G1722 PREP wickedness G4190 A-DSM .
20 And G1161 CONJ we know G1492 V-RAI-1P that G3754 CONJ the G3588 T-NSM Son G5207 N-NSM of God G2316 N-GSM is come G2240 V-PAI-3S , and G2532 CONJ hath given G1325 V-RAI-3S us G2254 P-1DP an understanding G1271 N-ASF , that G2443 CONJ we G3588 T-ASM may know G1097 V-PAS-1P him that is true G228 A-ASM , and G2532 CONJ we are G2070 V-PXI-1P in G1722 PREP him that is true G228 A-DSM , even in G1722 PREP his G3588 T-DSM Son G5207 N-DSM Jesus G2424 N-DSM Christ G5547 N-DSM . This G3778 D-NSM is G2076 V-PXI-3S the G3588 T-NSM true G228 A-NSM God G2316 N-NSM , and G2532 CONJ eternal G166 A-NSF life G2222 N-NSF .
