1. Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life. It was shining like crystal and was flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb

1. And G2532 he showed G1166 me G3427 a pure G2513 river G4215 of water G5204 of life G2222 , clear G2986 as G5613 crystal G2930 , proceeding G1607 out of G1537 the G3588 throne G2362 of God G2316 and G2532 of the G3588 Lamb G721 .

2. down the middle of the street of the city. The tree of life was on each side of the river. It produces fruit twelve times a year, once each month. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of all the nations.

In G1722 the midst G3319 of the G3588 street G4113 of it G846 , and G2532 on either side G1782 G2532 G1782 of the G3588 river G4215 , was there the tree G3586 of life G2222 , which bare G4160 twelve G1427 manner of fruits G2590 , and yielded G591 her G848 fruit G2590 every G2596 G1538 G1520 month G3376 : and G2532 the G3588 leaves G5444 of the G3588 tree G3586 were for G1519 the healing G2322 of the G3588 nations G1484 .

3. Nothing that God judges guilty will be in that city. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and God's servants will worship him.

3. And G2532 there shall be G2071 no more G3756 G3956 G2089 curse G2652 : but G2532 the G3588 throne G2362 of God G2316 and G2532 of the G3588 Lamb G721 shall be G2071 in G1722 it G846 ; and G2532 his G848 servants G1401 shall serve G3000 him G846 :

4. They will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads.

4. And G2532 they shall see G3700 his G846 face G4383 ; and G2532 his G846 name G3686 shall be in G1909 their G848 foreheads G3359 .

5. There will never be night again. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, because the Lord God will give them light. And they will rule as kings forever and ever.

5. And G2532 there shall be G2071 no G3756 night G3571 there G1563 ; and G2532 they need G2192 G5532 no G3756 candle G3088 , neither G2532 light G5457 of the sun G2246 ; for the Lord G2962 God G2316 giveth them light G5461 G846 : and G2532 they shall reign G936 forever and ever G1519 G165 G165 .

6. The angel said to me, "These words can be trusted and are true." The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must happen soon.

7. "Listen! I am coming soon! Happy is the one who obeys the words of prophecy in this book."

8. I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. When I heard and saw them, I bowed down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed these things to me.

9. But the angel said to me, "Do not worship me! I am a servant like you, your brothers the prophets, and all those who obey the words in this book. Worship God!"

10. Then the angel told me, "Do not keep secret the words of prophecy in this book, because the time is near for all this to happen.

11. Let whoever is doing evil continue to do evil. Let whoever is unclean continue to be unclean. Let whoever is doing right continue to do right. Let whoever is holy continue to be holy."

11. He that is unjust G91 , let him be unjust G91 still G2089 : and G2532 he which is filthy G4510 , let him be filthy G4510 still G2089 : and G2532 he that is righteous G1342 , let him be righteous G1344 still G2089 : and G2532 he that is holy G40 , let him be holy G37 still G2089 .

12. Listen! I am coming soon! I will bring my reward with me, and I will repay each one of you for what you have done.

13. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

14. "Happy are those who wash their robesn so that they will receive the right to eat the fruit from the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.

15. Outside the city are the evil people, those who do evil magic, who sin sexually, who murder, who worship idols, and who love lies and tell lies.

15. For G1161 without G1854 are dogs G2965 , and G2532 sorcerers G5333 , and G2532 whoremongers G4205 , and G2532 murderers G5406 , and G2532 idolaters G1496 , and G2532 whosoever G3956 loveth G5368 and G2532 maketh G4160 a lie G5579 .

16. "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to tell you these things for the churches. I am the descendant from the family of David, and I am the bright morning star."

17. The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" Let the one who hears this say, "Come!" Let whoever is thirsty come; whoever wishes may have the water of life as a free gift.

18. I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to these words, God will add to that person the disasters written about in this book.

19. And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away that one's share of the tree of life and of the holy city, which are written about in this book.

20. Jesus, the One who says these things are true, says, "Yes, I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
