1 फिर यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुंचा।
2 हे मनुष्य के सन्तान अपना मुख इस्राएल के पहाड़ों की ओर कर के उनके विरुद्ध भविष्यद्वाणी कर,
3 और कह, हे इस्राएल के पहाड़ो, प्रभु यहोवा का वचन सुनो! प्रभु यहोवा पहाड़ों और पहाडिय़ों से, और नालों और तराइयों से यों कहता है, देखो, मैं तुम पर तलवार चलवाऊंगा, और तुम्हारे पूजा के ऊंचे स्थानों को नाश करूंगा।
4 तुम्हारी वेदियां उजड़ेंगी और तुम्हारी सूर्य की प्रतिमाएं तोड़ी जाएंगी; और मैं तुम में से मारे हुओं को तुम्हारी मूरतों के आगे फेंक दूंगा।
5 मैं इस्राएलियों की लोथों को उनकी मूरतों के साम्हने रखूंगा, और उनकी हड्डियों को तुम्हारी वेदियों के आस पास छितरा दूंगां
6 तुम्हारे जितने बसाए हुए नगर हैं, वे सब ऐसे उजड़ जाएंगे, कि तुम्हारे पूजा के ऊंचे स्थान भी उजाड़ हो जाएंगे, तुम्हारी वेदियां उजड़ेंगी और ढाई जाएंगी, तुम्हारी मूरतें जाती रहेंगी और तुम्हारी सूर्य की प्रतिमाएं काटी जाएंगी; और तुम्हारी सारी कारीगरी मिटाई जाएगी।
7 और तुम्हारे बीच मारे हुए गिरेंगे, और तुम जान लोगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।
8 तौभी मैं कितनों को बचा रखूंगा। सो जब तुम देश देश में तितर-बितर होगे, तब अन्यजातियों के बीच तुम्हारे कुछ लोग तलवार से बच जाएंगे।
9 और वे बचे हुए लोग, उन जातियों के बीच, जिन में वे बंधुए हो कर जाएंगे, मुझे स्मरण करेंगे; और यह भी कि हमारा व्यभिचारी हृदय यहोवा से कैसे हट गया है और व्यभिचारिणी की सी हमारी आंखें मूरतों पर कैसी लगी हैं जिस से यहोवा का मन टूटा है। इस रीति से उन बुराइयों के कारण, जो उन्होंने अपने सारे घिनौने काम कर के की हैं, वे अपनी दृष्टि में घिनौने ठहरेंगे।
10 तब वे जान लेंगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ, और उनकी सारी हानि करने को मैं ने जो यह कहा है, उसे व्यर्थ नहीं कहा।
11 प्रभु यहोवा यों कहता है, कि अपना हाथ मार कर और अपना पांव पटक कर कह, इस्राएल के घराने के सारे घिनौने कामों पर हाय, हाय, क्योंकि वे तलवार, भूख, और मरी से नाश हो जाएंगे।
12 जो दूर हो वह मरी से मरेगा, और जो निकट हो वह तलवार से मार डाला जाएगा; और जो बचकर नगर में रहते हुए घेरा जाए, वह भूख से मरेगा। इस भांति मैं अपनी जलजलाहट उन पर पूरी रीति से उतारूंगा।
13 और जब हर एक ऊंची पहाड़ी और पहाड़ों की हर एक चोटी पर, और हर एक हरे पेड़ के नीचे, और हर एक घने बांजवृक्ष की छाया में, जहां जहां वे अपनी सब मूरतों को सुखदायक सुगन्ध द्रव्य चढ़ाते हैं, वहां उनके मारे हुए लोग अपनी वेदियों के आस पास अपनी मूरतों के बीच में पड़े रहेंगे; तब तुम लोग जान लोगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।
14 मैं अपना हाथ उनके विरुद्ध बढ़ाकर उस देश को सारे घरों समेत जंगल से ले दिबला की ओर तक उजाड़ ही उजाड़ कर दूंगा। तब वे जान लेंगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।

3 And say H559 , Ye mountains H2022 CMP of Israel H3478 , hear H8085 VQI2MP the word H1697 CMS of the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 ; Thus H3541 saith H559 VQQ3MS the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 to the mountains H2022 , and to the hills H1389 , to the rivers H650 , and to the valleys H1516 ; Behold H2009 , I , even I H589 PPRO-1MS , will bring H935 VHPMS a sword H2719 GFS upon H5921 PREP-2MP you , and I will destroy H6 your high places H1116 .
4 And your altars H4196 shall be desolate H8074 , and your images H2553 shall be broken H7665 : and I will cast down H5307 your slain H2491 men before H6440 L-CMP your idols H1544 .
5 And I will lay H5414 the dead carcasses H6297 of the children H1121 of Israel H3478 before H6440 L-CMP their idols H1544 ; and I will scatter H2219 your bones H6106 round about H5439 ADV your altars H4196 .
6 In all H3605 your dwelling places H4186 the cities H5892 shall be laid waste H2717 , and the high places H1116 shall be desolate H3456 ; that H4616 L-CONJ your altars H4196 may be laid waste H2717 and made desolate H816 , and your idols H1544 may be broken H7665 and cease H7673 , and your images H2553 may be cut down H1438 , and your works H4639 may be abolished H4229 .
7 And the slain H2491 shall fall H5307 in the midst H8432 of you , and ye shall know H3045 that H3588 CONJ I H589 PPRO-1MS am the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .
8 Yet will I leave a remnant H3498 , that ye may have H1961 some that shall escape H6412 the sword H2719 GFS among the nations H1471 , when ye shall be scattered H2219 through the countries H776 .
9 And they that escape H6412 of you shall remember H2142 me among the nations H1471 whither H834 RPRO they shall be carried captives H7617 , because H834 RPRO I am broken H7665 with H854 W-PART their whorish H2181 heart H3820 CMS-3MP , which H834 RPRO hath departed H5493 from me , and with H854 W-PART their eyes H5869 , which go a whoring H2181 after H310 PREP their idols H1544 : and they shall loathe H6962 themselves H6440 for H413 PREP the evils H7451 which H834 RPRO they have committed H6213 VQQ3MP in all H3605 their abominations H8441 .

11 Thus H3541 saith H559 VQQ3MS the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 ; Smite H5221 with thine hand H3709 , and stamp H7554 with thy foot H7272 , and say H559 , Alas H253 for H413 PREP all H3605 NMS the evil H7451 abominations H8441 of the house H1004 CMS of Israel H3478 ! for H834 RPRO they shall fall H5307 by the sword H2719 , by the famine H7458 , and by the pestilence H1698 .
12 He that is far off H7350 shall die H4191 VQY3MS of the pestilence H1698 ; and he that is near H7138 shall fall H5307 by the sword H2719 ; and he that remaineth H7604 and is besieged H5341 shall die H4191 VQY3MS by the famine H7458 : thus will I accomplish H3615 my fury H2534 upon them .
13 Then shall ye know H3045 that H3588 CONJ I H589 PPRO-1MS am the LORD H3068 EDS , when their slain H2491 men shall be H1961 among H8432 B-NMS their idols H1544 round about H5439 ADV their altars H4196 , upon H413 PREP every H3605 NMS high H7311 VQPFS hill H1389 , in all H3605 NMS the tops H7218 CMP of the mountains H2022 , and under H8478 every H3605 NMS green H7488 tree H6086 NMS , and under H8478 every H3605 NMS thick H5687 oak H424 , the place H4725 CMS where H834 RPRO they did offer H5414 sweet H5207 savor H7381 CMS to all H3605 NMS their idols H1544 .
14 So will I stretch out H5186 my hand H3027 CFS-1MS upon H5921 PREP-3MP them , and make H5414 the land H776 D-GFS desolate H8077 , yea , more desolate H4923 than the wilderness H4057 toward Diblath H1689 , in all H3605 their habitations H4186 : and they shall know H3045 that H3588 CONJ I H589 PPRO-1MS am the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .
