1 আর দায়ূদ বৃদ্ধ ও পূর্ণায়ু হইলেন; এবং আপন পুত্র শলোমনকে ইস্রায়েলের উপরে রাজা করিলেন।
2 তিনি ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত অধ্যক্ষকে এবং যাজক ও লেবীয়দিগকে একত্র করিলেন।
3 তখন ত্রিশ ও তদপেক্ষা অধিক বৎসর বয়স্ক লেবীয়েরা গণিত হইল; মস্তক-গণনায় তাহারা আটত্রিশ সহস্র পুরুষ।
4 তাহাদের মধ্যে চব্বিশ সহস্র লোক সদাপ্রভুর গৃহের কার্য্যের তত্ত্বাবধানে নিযুক্ত হইল, এবং ছয় সহস্র লোক শাসনকর্ত্তা ও বিচারকর্ত্তা,
5 আর চারি সহস্র লোক দ্বারপাল; এবং দায়ূদ প্রশংসার্থে যে সকল বাদ্যযন্ত্র নির্ম্মাণ করেন, তাহা দ্বারা চারি সহস্র লোক সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করিত।
6 আর দায়ূদ তাহাদিগকে গের্শোন, কহাৎ ও মরারি, লেবির এই পুত্রদের বংশানুসারে নানা পালায় বিভক্ত করিলেন।
7 গের্শোনীয়দের মধ্যে লাদন ও শিমিয়ি।
8 লাদনের সন্তান; প্রধান যিহীয়েল, অপর সেথম ও যোয়েল, তিন জন।
9 শিমিয়ির সন্তান শলোমোৎ, হসীয়েল ও হারণ, তিন জন; ইহারা লাদনের পিতৃকুলপতি।
10 আর শিমিয়ির সন্তান যহৎ, সীন, যিয়ূশ ও বরীয়; শিমিয়ির এই চারি সন্তান।
11 তাহাদের মধ্যে প্রধান যহৎ, ও দ্বিতীয় সীষ; কিন্তু যিয়ূশের ও বরীয়ের বহু সন্তান ছিল না, এ কারণ তাহারা একত্র গণিত হইয়া এক পিতৃকুল হইল।
12 কহাতের পুত্র অম্রাম, যিষ্‌হর, হিব্রোণ ও উষীয়েল, চারি জন।
13 অম্রামের পুত্র হারোণ ও মোশি; আর চিরকাল অতি পবিত্র বস্তু পবিত্র করণার্থে, সদাপ্রভুর সম্মুখে ধূপদাহ, তাঁহার পরিচর্য্যা এবং তাঁহার নামে আশীর্ব্বাদ করণার্থে হারোণকে ও তাঁহার সন্তানগণকে চিরকালের জন্য পৃথক করা গেল।
14 কিন্তু ঈশ্বরের লোক যে মোশি, তাঁহার পুত্রগণ লেবিবংশের মধ্যে উল্লিখিত হইল।
15 মোশির পুত্র গের্শোম ও ইলীয়েষর।
16 গের্শোমের সন্তানদের মধ্যে শবূয়েল প্রধান।
17 আর ইলীয়েষরের সন্তানদের মধ্যে রহবিয় প্রধান ছিল; এই ইলীয়েষরের আর পুত্র ছিল না, কিন্তু রহবিয়ের সন্তানগণ বহুসংখ্যক হইল।
18 যিষ্‌হরের সন্তানদের মধ্যে শলোমীৎ প্রধান।
19 হিব্রোণের পুত্রদের মধ্যে প্রধান যিরিয়, দ্বিতীয় অমরিয়, তৃতীয় যহসীয়েল, চতুর্থ যিকমিয়ার।
20 উষীয়েলের পুত্রদের মধ্যে প্রধান মীখা, ও দ্বিতীয় যিশিয়।
21 মরারির পুত্র মহলি ও মূশি। মহলির পুত্র ইলিয়াসর ও কীশ।
22 ইলিয়াসর মরিলেন, তাঁহার পুত্র ছিল না, কেবল কয়েকটী কন্যা ছিল, আর তাহাদের জ্ঞাতি কীশের পুত্রগণ তাহাদিগকে বিবাহ করিল।
23 মূশির পুত্র মহলি, এদর ও যিরেমোৎ, তিন জন।
24 এই সকলে আপন আপন পিতৃকুলানুসারে লেবির সন্তান, বিংশতি বৎসর ও ততোধিক বয়স্ক যাহারা নাম ও মস্তকানুসারে গণিত হইল, সদাপ্রভুর গৃহের সেবাকর্ম্ম করিত, ইহারা তাহাদের পিতৃকুলপতি।
25 কেননা দায়ূদ কহিলেন, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু আপন প্রজাদিগকে বিশ্রাম দিয়াছেন, এবং তিনি চিরকালের জন্য যিরূশালেমে বাস করেন;
26 আর লেবীয়দিগকেও অদ্যাবধি আবাস কিম্বা তাহার সেবাকর্ম্মার্থক পাত্র সকল আর বহিতে হইবে না।
27 কারণ দায়ূদের শেষ আজ্ঞায় লেবির সন্তানদের মধ্যে বিংশতি বৎসর ও ততোধিক বয়স্ক লোকেরা গণিত হইল।
28 কেননা ঈশ্বরের গৃহের সেবাকর্ম্মের জন্য তাহাদের পদ হারোণ-সন্তানদের অধীন; তাহা এই এই বিষয় সম্বন্ধীয়, প্রাঙ্গণ ও কুঠরী সকল, পবিত্র বস্তু সকলের শুচিকরণ,
29 ঈশ্বরের গৃহের সেবাকর্ম্ম সম্পাদন, এবং দর্শন-রুটী ও ভক্ষ্য-নৈবেদ্য, তাড়ীশূন্য সরুচাকলী এবং ভর্জনপাত্রে ভর্জিত দ্রব্য ও রান্ধা দ্রব্য, এই সকলের নিমিত্ত ময়দা, এবং সকল পরিমাণ ও তৌল,
30 আর সদাপ্রভুর স্তবগান ও প্রশংসার্থে প্রতি প্রাতঃকালে ও সন্ধ্যাকালে দণ্ডায়মান হওয়া;
31 এবং সদাপ্রভুর সম্মুখে প্রতিনিয়ত পালনীয় বিধিমতে বিশ্রামবারে, অমাবস্যায় ও পর্ব্বে সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে সংখ্যানুসারে হোমবলিদান করা;
32 আর তাহারা যেন সমাগম-তাম্বুর রক্ষণীয় দ্রব্য, ও পবিত্র স্থানের রক্ষণীয় দ্রব্য, এবং ঈশ্বরের গৃহের সেবাকর্ম্মের জন্য আপনাদের জ্ঞাতি হারোণ-সন্তানদের রক্ষণীয় দ্রব্য রক্ষা করে।
