1 ইস্রায়েল-রাজ যারবিয়ামের সাতাশ বৎসরে যিহূদা-রাজ অমৎসিয়ের পুত্র অসরিয় রাজত্ব করিতে আরম্ভ করেন।
2 তিনি ষোল বৎসর বয়সে রাজত্ব করিতে আরম্ভ করিয়া যিরূশালেমে বাহান্ন বৎসর কাল রাজত্ব করেন; তাঁহার মাতার নাম যিথলিয়া, তিনি যিরূশালেম-নিবাসিনী।
3 অসরিয় আপন পিতা অমৎসিয়ের সমস্ত কার্য্যানুসারে সদাপ্রভুর দৃষ্টিতে যাহা ন্যায্য, তাহাই করিতেন।
4 তথাপি উচ্চস্থলী সকল উচ্ছিন্ন হইল না, তখনও লোকেরা উচ্চস্থলীতে বলিদান করিত ও ধূপ জ্বালাইত।
5 পরে সদাপ্রভু রাজাকে আঘাত করিলেন, তাহাতে তিনি মরণ দিন পর্য্যন্ত কুষ্ঠরোগী হইয়া রহিলেন, ও স্বতন্ত্র গৃহে বাস করিলেন; আর রাজার পুত্র যোথম বাটীর কর্ত্তা হইয়া দেশের লোকদের শাসন করিতে লাগিলেন।
6 অসরিয়ের অবশিষ্ট কর্ম্মের বৃত্তান্ত ও সমস্ত কার্য্যের বিবরণ কি যিহূদা-রাজগণের ইতিহাস-পুস্তকে লিখিত নাই?
7 পরে অসরিয় আপন পিতৃলোকদের সহিত নিদ্রাগত হইলেন, আর দায়ূদ-নগরে তাঁহার পিতৃলোকদের সহিত তাঁহার কবর দেওয়া হইল, এবং তাঁহার পুত্র যোথম তাঁহার পদে রাজা হইলেন।
8 যিহূদা-রাজ অসরিয়ের আটত্রিশ বৎসরে যারবিয়ামের পুত্র সখরিয় ছয় মাস কাল শমরিয়াতে ইস্রায়েলের উপরে রাজত্ব করিলেন।
9 তাঁহার পিতৃপুরুষেরা যেমন করিতেন, তেমনি তিনি সদাপ্রভুর দৃষ্টিতে যাহা মন্দ, তাহাই করিতেন; নবাটের পুত্র যারবিয়াম যে সকল পাপ দ্বারা ইস্রায়েলকে পাপ করাইয়াছিলেন, তিনি তাঁহার সেই সকল পাপ ত্যাগ করিলেন না।
10 পরে যাবেশের পুত্র শল্লুম তাঁহার বিরুদ্ধে চক্রান্ত করিলেন, ও লোকদের সম্মুখে তাঁহাকে আঘাত করিয়া বধ করিলেন, এবং তাঁহার পদে রাজা হইলেন।
11 সখরিয়ের অবশিষ্ট কর্ম্মের বৃত্তান্ত, দেখ, ইস্রায়েল-রাজগণের ইতিহাস-পুস্তকে লিখিত আছে।
12 সদাপ্রভু যেহূকে এই কথা বলিয়াছিলেন, চতুর্থ পুরুষ পর্য্যন্ত তোমার বংশ ইস্রায়েলের সিংহাসনে বসিবে; তাহা সফল হইল।
13 যিহূদা-রাজ উষিয়ের ঊনচল্লিশ বৎসরে যাবেশের পুত্র শল্লুম রাজত্ব করিতে আরম্ভ করেন, এবং এক মাস কাল শমরিয়াতে রাজত্ব করেন।
14 পরে গাদির পুত্র মনহেম তির্সা হইতে উঠিয়া গেলেন, শমরিয়াতে উপস্থিত হইলেন, আর যাবেশের পুত্র শল্লুমকে শমরিয়াতে আঘাত করিয়া বধ করিলেন, এবং তাঁহার পদে রাজা হইলেন।
15 শল্লুমের অবশিষ্ট কর্ম্মের বৃত্তান্ত ও তাঁহার কৃত চক্রান্ত, দেখ, ইস্রায়েল-রাজগণের ইতিহাস-পুস্তকে লিখিত আছে।
16 পরে মনহেম তির্সা হইতে গিয়া তিপ্‌সহ ও তাহার মধ্যস্থিত সকলকে ও তাহার অঞ্চল সকলে আঘাত করিলেন; লোকেরা তাঁহার জন্য দ্বার খুলিয়া দেয় নাই, তাই তিনি আঘাত করিলেন ও তথাকার গর্ভবতী স্ত্রীলোক সকলের উদর বিদীর্ণ করিলেন।
17 যিহূদা-রাজ অসরিয়ের ঊনচল্লিশ বৎসরে গাদির পুত্র মনহেম ইস্রায়েলের উপরে রাজত্ব করিতে আরম্ভ করেন, এবং দশ বৎসর কাল শমরিয়াতে রাজত্ব করেন।
18 সদাপ্রভুর দৃষ্টিতে যাহা মন্দ, তাহাই তিনি করিতেন; নবাটের পুত্র যারবিয়াম যে সকল পাপ দ্বারা ইস্রায়েলকে পাপ করাইয়াছিলেন, তাঁহার সেই সকল পাপ হইতে তিনি যাবজ্জীবন ফিরিলেন না।
19 অশূর-রাজ পূল দেশের বিরুদ্ধে আসিলেন; তাহাতে পূলের সাহায্যে রাজ্য যেন আপনার হস্তে স্থির থাকে, এই জন্য মনহেম তাঁহাকে এক সহস্র তালন্ত রৌপ্য দিলেন।
20 আর অশূর-রাজকে দিবার জন্য মনহেম ইস্রায়েল হইতে, সমস্ত ধনশালী ব্যক্তির নিকট হইতে, ঐ রৌপ্য আদায় করিলেন, প্রত্যেকের নিকট হইতে পঞ্চাশ পঞ্চাশ শেকল রৌপ্য লইলেন। তখন অশূর-রাজ ফিরিয়া গেলেন, দেশে রহিলেন না।
21 মনহেমের অবশিষ্ট কর্ম্মের বৃত্তান্ত ও সমস্ত কার্য্যের বিবরণ কি ইস্রায়েল-রাজগণের ইতিহাস-পুস্তকে লিখিত নাই?
22 পরে মনহেম আপন পিতৃলোকদের সহিত নিদ্রাগত হইলেন, এবং তাঁহার পুত্র পকহিয় তাঁহার পদে রাজা হইলেন।
23 যিহূদা-রাজ অসরিয়ের পঞ্চাশ বৎসরে মনহেমের পুত্র পকহিয় শমরিয়াতে ইস্রায়েলের উপরে রাজত্ব করিতে আরম্ভ করেন, এবং দুই বৎসর কাল রাজত্ব করেন।
24 সদাপ্রভুর দৃষ্টিতে যাহা মন্দ, তাহাই তিনি করিতেন, নবাটের পুত্র যারবিয়াম যে সকল পাপ দ্বারা ইস্রায়েলকে পাপ করাইয়াছিলেন, তিনি তাঁহার সেই সকল পাপ হইতে ফিরিলেন না।
25 পরে রমলিয়ের পুত্র পেকহ নামক তাঁহার সেনানী তাঁহার বিরুদ্ধে চক্রান্ত করিলেন, এবং শমরিয়ায় রাজবাটীর দুর্গে তাঁহাকে, অর্গোবকে ও অরিয়িকে আঘাত করিলেন, আর গিলিয়দীয়দের পঞ্চাশ জন লোক তাঁহার সঙ্গে ছিল; তিনি তাঁহাকে বধ করিয়া তাঁহার পদে রাজা হইলেন।
26 পকহিয়ের অবশিষ্ট কর্ম্মের বৃত্তান্ত ও সমস্ত কার্য্যের বিবরণ, দেখ, ইস্রায়েল-রাজগণের ইতিহাস-পুস্তকে লিখিত আছে।
27 যিহূদা-রাজ অসরিয়ের বাহান্ন বৎসরে রমলিয়ের পুত্র পেকহ শমরিয়াতে ইস্রায়েলের উপরে রাজত্ব করিতে আরম্ভ করেন, এবং কুড়ি বৎসর রাজত্ব করেন।
28 সদাপ্রভুর দৃষ্টিতে যাহা মন্দ, তাহাই তিনি করিতেন, নবাটের পুত্র যারবিয়াম যে সকল পাপ দ্বারা ইস্রায়েলকে পাপ করাইয়াছিলেন, তিনি তাঁহার সেই সকল পাপ হইতে ফিরিলেন না।
29 ইস্রায়েল-রাজ পেকহের সময়ে অশূর-রাজ তিগ্লৎপিলেষর আসিয়া ইয়োন, আবেল-বৈৎ-মাখা, যানোহ, কেদশ, হাৎসোর, গিলিয়দ ও গালীল, নপ্তালির সমস্ত দেশ হস্তগত করিলেন, আর লোকদিগকে অশূরে বন্দি করিয়া লইয়া গেলেন।
30 পরে উষিয়ের পুত্র যোথমের বিংশতি বৎসরে এলার পুত্র হোশেয় রমলিয়ের পুত্র পেকহের বিরুদ্ধে চক্রান্ত করিলেন, এবং তাঁহাকে আঘাত করিয়া বধ করিলেন, ও তাঁহার পদে রাজা হইলেন।
31 পেকহের অবশিষ্ট কর্ম্মের বৃত্তান্ত ও সমস্ত কার্য্যের বিবরণ, দেখ, ইস্রায়েল-রাজগণের ইতিহাস-পুস্তকে লিখিত আছে।
32 রমলিয়ের পুত্র ইস্রায়েল-রাজ পেকহের দ্বিতীয় বৎসরে উষিয়ের পুত্র যোথম রাজত্ব করিতে আরম্ভ করেন।
33 তিনি পঁচিশ বৎসর বয়সে রাজত্ব করিতে আরম্ভ করিয়া যিরূশালেমে ষোল বৎসর কাল রাজত্ব করেন; তাঁহার মাতার নাম যিরূশা, তিনি সাদোকের কন্যা।
34 যোথম সদাপ্রভুর দৃষ্টিতে যাহা ন্যায্য, তাহাই করিতেন; আপন পিতা উষিয়ের সমস্ত কার্য্যানুসারে কার্য্য করিতেন।
35 তথাপি উচ্চস্থলী সকল উচ্ছিন্ন হয় নাই; লোকেরা তখনও উচ্চস্থলীতে বলিদান করিত ও ধূপ জ্বালাইত। তিনি সদাপ্রভুর গৃহের উচ্চতর দ্বার নির্ম্মাণ করিলেন।
36 যোথমের অবশিষ্ট কর্ম্মের বৃত্তান্ত ও সমস্ত কার্য্যের বিবরণ যিহূদা-রাজগণের ইতিহাস-পুস্তকে কি লিখিত নাই?
37 ঐ সময়ে সদাপ্রভু অরাম-রাজ রৎসীনকে ও রমলিয়ের পুত্র পেকহকে যিহূদার বিরুদ্ধে পাঠাইতে আরম্ভ করিলেন।
38 পরে যোথম আপন পিতৃলোকদের সহিত নিদ্রাগত হইলেন, আর আপন পিতৃপুরুষ দায়ূদের নগরে আপন পিতৃলোকদের সহিত কবরপ্রাপ্ত হইলেন, এবং তাঁহার পুত্র আহস তাঁহার পদে রাজা হইলেন।
