1 শলোমন রাজা সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলের উপরে রাজত্ব করিতেন।
2 তাঁহার অমাত্যগণের নাম এই এই;
3 সাদোকের পুত্র অসরিয় যাজক ছিলেন। শীশার পুত্র ইলীহোরফ ও অহিয় লেখক ছিলেন; অহীলুদের পুত্র যিহোশাফট ইতিহাসকর্ত্তা ছিলেন;
4 আর যিহোয়াদার পুত্র বনায় সেনাপতি, এবং সাদোক ও অবিয়াথর যাজক ছিলেন; এবং নাথনের পুত্র অসরিয় অধ্যক্ষদের প্রধান,
5 ও নাথনের পুত্র সাবূদ যাজক, রাজার মিত্র ছিলেন।
6 আর অহীশার বাটীর অধ্যক্ষ, এবং অব্দের পুত্র অদোনীরাম রাজার কর্ম্মাধীন দাসদের অধ্যক্ষ ছিলেন।
7 আর সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলের উপরে শলোমনের নিযুক্ত বারো জন অধ্যক্ষ ছিলেন, তাঁহারা রাজার ও রাজবাটীর জন্য খাদ্য দ্রব্যের আয়োজন করিতেন; বৎসরের মধ্যে এক এক মাসের জন্য আয়োজন করিবার ভার এক এক জনের উপরে ছিল।
8 তাঁহাদের নাম এই এই; পর্ব্বতময় ইফ্রয়িম প্রদেশে বিন্‌-হূর।
9 মাকসে, শালবীমে, বৈৎ-শেমশে ও এলোন-বৈৎহাননে বিন্‌-দেকর।
10 অরুব্বোতে বিন্‌-হেষদ; সোখো ও সমুদয় হেফর প্রদেশ তাঁহার অধীন ছিল।
11 সমুদয় দোর উপগিরিতে বিন্‌-অবীনাদব; তিনি শলোমনের কন্যা টাফৎকে বিবাহ করেন।
12 তানকে ও মগিদ্দোতে এবং সর্ত্তনের নিকটে ও যিষ্রিয়েলের নিম্নে স্থিত সমস্ত বৈৎশানে, অর্থাৎ বৈৎ-শান অবধি আবেল-মহোলা ও যক্‌মিয়ামের পার পর্য্যন্ত অহীলূদের পুত্র বানা।
13 রামোৎ-গিলিয়দে বিন্‌-গেবর; গিলিয়দস্থ মনঃশি-সন্তান যায়ীরের গ্রাম সকল, এবং বাশনস্থ অর্গোব অঞ্চল, প্রাচীরবেষ্টিত ও পিত্তলের অর্গলবিশিষ্ট ষাটটী বৃহৎ নগর তাঁহার অধীন ছিল।
14 মহনয়িমে ইদ্দোর পুত্র অহীনাদব।
15 নপ্তালিতে অহীমাস; তিনিও শলোমনের এক কন্যাকে, বাসমৎকে, বিবাহ করেন।
16 আশেরে ও বালোতে হূশয়ের পুত্র বানা।
17 ইষাখরে পারূহের পুত্র যিহোশাফট।
18 বিন্যামীনে এলার পুত্র শিমিয়ি।
19 গিলিয়দ দেশে অর্থাৎ ইমোরীয়দের রাজা সীহোনের ও বাশনের রাজা ওগের দেশে ঊরির পুত্র গেবর; উক্ত দেশে তিনিই একমাত্র অধ্যক্ষ ছিলেন।
20 যিহূদা ও ইস্রায়েল সমুদ্রতীরস্থ বালুকার ন্যায় বহুসংখ্যক ছিল, তাহারা ভোজন পান ও আমোদ করিত।
21 আর ফরাৎ নদী অবধি পলেষ্টীয়দের দেশ ও মিসরের সীমা পর্য্যন্ত যাবতীয় রাজ্যের উপরে শলোমন কর্ত্তৃত্ব করিতেন; শলোমনের সমস্ত জীবনকালে তাহারা তাঁহাকে উপঢৌকন দিত, এবং তাঁহার দাসত্ব করিত।
22 শলোমনের প্রত্যেক দিনের আয়োজনীয় দ্রব্য এই ছিল, ত্রিশ কোর সূক্ষ্ম সূজী ও ষাট কোর ময়দা;
23 দশটা পুষ্ট গোরু, ও মাঠ হইতে আনীত কুড়িটা গোরু, ও এক শত মেষ; ইহা ছাড়া হরিণ, মৃগী, কালসাব ও পুষ্ট পক্ষী।
24 ফলে, তিনি তিপ্‌সহ অবধি ঘসা পর্য্যন্ত ফরাৎ নদীর এ পারস্থ সমস্ত দেশের, নদীর এ পারস্থ সকল রাজার উপরে কর্ত্তৃত্ব করিতেন; আর তাঁহার চারিদিকের সমস্ত অঞ্চলে শান্তি ছিল।
25 শলোমনের সমস্ত অধিকার সময়ে দান অবধি বের্‌-শেবা পর্য্যন্ত যিহূদা ও ইস্রায়েল প্রত্যেক জন আপন আপন দ্রাক্ষালতার ও আপন আপন ডুমুর বৃক্ষের তলে নির্ভয়ে বাস করিত।
26 শলোমনের রথের নিমিত্ত চল্লিশ সহস্র অশ্বশালা ও বারো সহস্র অশ্বারোহী ছিল।
27 আর শলোমন রাজার নিমিত্ত ও শলোমন রাজার মেজে ভোজনকারীদের নিমিত্ত পূর্ব্বোক্ত অধ্যক্ষেরা প্রত্যেক জন আপন আপন নিরূপিত মাসে খাদ্য দ্রব্যের আয়োজন করিতেন, কিছুরই ত্রুটী করিতেন না।
28 তাঁহারা প্রত্যেক জন আপন আপন কার্য্যভার অনুসারে অশ্ব ও দ্রুতগামী বাহন সকলের জন্য যথাস্থানে যব ও তৃণ আনিতেন।
29 আর ঈশ্বর শলোমনকে বিপুল জ্ঞান ও সূক্ষ্মবুদ্ধি এবং সমুদ্রতীরস্থ বালুকার ন্যায় চিত্তের বিস্তীর্ণতা দিলেন।
30 তাহাতে পূর্ব্বদেশের সমস্ত লোকের জ্ঞান ও মিস্রীয়দের যাবতীয় জ্ঞান হইতে শলোমনের অধিক জ্ঞান হইল।
31 ফলে, তিনি সকল লোক হইতে জ্ঞানবান, ইষ্রাহীয় এথন, এবং মাহোলের পুত্র হেমন, কল্‌কোল ও দর্দা, ইহাঁদের হইতেও অধিক জ্ঞানবান হইলেন; এবং চারিদিকের সমস্ত জাতির মধ্যে তাঁহার সুখ্যাতি হইল।
32 তিনি তিন সহস্র প্রবাদ বাক্য বলিতেন, ও তাঁহার এক সহস্র পাঁচটী গীত ছিল।
33 আর তিনি লিবানোনের এরস বৃক্ষ হইতে প্রাচীরের গাত্রে উৎপন্ন এসোব তৃণ পর্য্যন্ত গাছ সকলের বর্ণনা করিতেন, এবং পশু, পক্ষী, উরোগামী জন্তু ও মৎস্যের বর্ণনা করিতেন।
34 আর পৃথিবীস্থ যে সকল রাজা শলোমনের জ্ঞানের সংবাদ শুনিয়াছিলেন, তাঁহাদের নিকট হইতে সর্ব্বদেশীয় লোক শলোমনের জ্ঞানের উক্তি শুনিতে আসিত।
