Deuteronomy 20:10 (BNV) Bengali Old BSI Version

1 “তোমরা শত্রুদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করতে গিয়ে যদি দেখ য়ে তোমাদের থেকেও তাদের অনেক বেশী ঘোড়া, রথ এবং লোক রয়েছে, তবে ভয় পেও না| কেন? কারণ প্রভু যিনি তোমাদের মিশর থেকে বের করে এনেছিলেন, তিনি তোমাদের ঈশ্বর তোমাদের সঙ্গে আছেন|
2 “যখন তোমরা যুদ্ধে যাও তখন যাজক অবশ্যই সৈন্যদের কাছে যাবে এবং তাদের সঙ্গে কথা বলবে|
3 যাজক বলবে, ‘ইস্রায়েলের লোকরা আমার কথা শোন! আজ তোমরা তোমাদের শত্রুদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধে যাচ্ছ| তোমরা সাহস হারিও না! তোমরা চিন্তিত এবং ভীত হয়ো না! শত্রুদের সম্পর্কে ভীত হয়ো না!
4 কেন? কারণ প্রভু, তোমাদের ঈশ্বর, তোমাদের সঙ্গে যাচ্ছেন| তিনি তোমাদের জন্য তোমাদের শত্রুদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করবেন এবং তোমাদের বিজয়ী করবেন!’
5 “ঐ লেবীয় গোষ্ঠীভুক্ত পদাধিকারী সৈন্যদের বলবে, ‘তোমাদের মধ্যে কি এমন কোনও ব্যক্তি আছে য়ে নতুন বাড়ী তৈরী করেছে, কিন্তু সেটিকে এখনও নিবেদন করেনি? সেই ব্যক্তির অবশ্যই বাড়ী ফিরে যাওয়া উচিত্‌| নয় তো সে যুদ্ধে নিহত হলে অন্য একজন ব্যক্তি তার বাড়ী নিবেদন করবে|
6 এখানে কি এমন কোনও ব্যক্তি আছে য়ে ক্ষেতে দ্রাক্ষার চারা রোপণ করেছে, কিন্তু এখনও পর্য়ন্ত কোন দ্রাক্ষা একত্রিত করেনি? সেই ব্যক্তির অবশ্যই বাড়ী ফিরে যাওয়া উচিত্‌| কারণ যদি সেই ব্যক্তি যুদ্ধে মারা যায়, তাহলে অপর একজন ব্যক্তি তার ক্ষেতের ফল ভোগ করবে|
7 এখানে কি এমন কোনও ব্যক্তি আছে য়ে বিবাহের জন্য বাগ্দত্ত? সেই ব্যক্তির অবশ্যই বাড়ী ফিরে যাওয়া উচিত্‌| কারণ যদি সে যুদ্ধে মারা যায়, তাহলে সে যার বাগ্দত্ত ছিল সেই স্ত্রীলোককে অপর একজন ব্যক্তি বিবাহ করবে|’
8 “সেই লেবীয় পদাধিকারীরা সৈন্যদের একথাও জিজ্ঞাসা করবে, ‘তোমাদের মধ্যে কি এমন কোন ব্যক্তি আছে য়ে উত্সাহ হারিযেছে এবং ভীত হয়েছে? সে অবশ্যই বাড়ী ফিরে যাবে| তাহলে সে অন্যান্য সৈন্যদেরও নিরুত্‌সাহ করতে পারবে না|’
9 পরে সৈন্যদের সঙ্গে পদাধিকারীরা যখন কথাবার্তা শেষ করবে তখন তারা অবশ্যই সেনাধ্যক্ষদের নির্বাচিত করবে| যারা সৈন্যদের নেতৃত্ব দেবে|
10 “যখন তোমরা কোন শহর আক্রমণ করতে যাবে, তখন প্রথমে সেখানকার লোকদের শান্তির আবেদন জানাবে|
11 যদি তারা তোমাদের প্রস্তাব স্বীকার করে এবং দরজা খুলে দেয়, তাহলে সেই শহরের সমস্ত লোকরা তোমাদের ক্রীতদাসে পরিণত হবে এবং তোমাদের জন্য কাজ করতে বাধ্য হবে|
12 কিন্তু যদি শহরের লোকরা তোমাদের শান্তির প্রস্তাব প্রত্যাখ্যান করে এবং তোমাদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করতে আসে তাহলে তোমরা অবশ্যই শহরটিকে চারদিক থেকে ঘিরে ফেলবে|
13 এবং যখন শহরটিকে অধিগ্রহণ করতে প্রভু, তোমাদের ঈশ্বর, তোমাদের সাহায্য করবেন, তখন তোমরা অবশ্যই সেখানকার সমস্ত পুরুষদের হত্যা করবে|
14 কিন্তু তোমরা তোমাদের নিজেদের জন্য স্ত্রীলোকদের, শিশুদের, গোরু এবং শহরের যাবতীয় জিনিস নিতে পার| তোমরা এই সমস্ত জিনিসগুলো ব্যবহার করতে পার| প্রভু তোমাদের ঈশ্বর, তোমাদের এই জিনিসগুলি দিয়েছেন|
15 তোমাদের থেকে অনেক দূরের সমস্ত শহরগুলোর প্রতি তোমরা এই কাজ করবে - তোমরা য়ে দেশে বাস কর সেখানকার শহরগুলো বাদ দেবে|
16 “কিন্তু প্রভু, তোমাদের ঈশ্বর, তোমাদের য়ে দেশ দিচ্ছেন তোমরা যখন সেই দেশের শহরগুলো অধিগ্রহণ করবে, তখন সেখানে শ্বাস নেয় এমন কাউকে জীবিত রাখবে না|
17 তোমরা অবশ্যই প্রভুর আদেশ অনুসারে হিত্তীয়, ইমোরীয়, কনানীয় পরিষীয়, হিব্বীয় এবং য়িবুষীযদের পুরোপুরি ধ্বংস করবে|
18 কারণ তা না হলে তারা প্রভু, তোমাদের ঈশ্বরের বিরুদ্ধে পাপ করতে শেখাবে; তারা তাদের দেবতাদের পূজা করার সময় য়ে সাংঘাতিক কাজগুলি করে সেগুলো তোমাদের শেখাবে|
19 “যখন তোমরা একটি শহরের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করো, তোমরা দীর্ঘকাল ধরে সেই শহরটিকে ঘিরে রাখতে পার| সেই শহরের চারদিকের ফলগাছগুলো তোমরা কখনই কাটবে না| তোমরা এই গাছগুলোর ফল খেতে পার কিন্তু তোমরা কখনই তাদের কাটবে না| এই গাছগুলো শত্রু নয়, সুতরাং তাদের নষ্ট করো না!
20 কিন্তু তোমরা য়ে গাছগুলোকে ফলের গাছ নয় বলে জানো, সেগুলোকে কাটতে পারো| সেই শহরের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করার জন্য অস্ত্র তৈরীতে এই গাছগুলো ব্যবহার করতে পারো| শহরটির পতন না হওয়া পর্য়ন্ত তোমরা ঐ জিনিসগুলি ব্যবহার করতে পারো|
1 When H3588 CONJ thou goest out H3318 to battle H4421 against H5921 PREP thine enemies H341 VQPMP-2MS , and seest H7200 horses H5483 , and chariots H7393 , and a people H5971 NMS more H7227 AMS than H4480 PREP-2MS thou , be not afraid H3372 VQY3MS of H4480 PREP-2MS them : for H3588 CONJ the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS is with H5973 PREP-2FS thee , which brought thee up H5927 out of the land H776 M-NFS of Egypt H4714 .
2 And it shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS , when ye are come nigh H7126 unto H413 PREP the battle H4421 , that the priest H3548 shall approach H5066 and speak H1696 unto H413 PREP the people H5971 D-NMS ,
3 And shall say H559 unto H413 PREP-3MS them , Hear H8085 VQI2MS , O Israel H3478 , ye H859 PPRO-2MS approach H7131 this day H3117 D-AMS unto battle H4421 against H5921 PREP your enemies H341 : let not H408 NPAR your hearts H3824 faint H7401 , fear H3372 not H408 NPAR , and do not H408 ADV tremble H2648 , neither H408 ADV be ye terrified H6206 because of them ;
4 For H3588 CONJ the LORD H3068 EDS your God H430 is he that goeth H1980 D-VQPMS with H5973 PREP-3MP you , to fight H3898 for you against H5973 PREP your enemies H341 , to save H3467 you .
5 And the officers H7860 shall speak H1696 unto H413 PREP the people H5971 , saying H559 L-VQFC , What H4310 IPRO man H376 D-NMS is there that H834 RPRO hath built H1129 VQQ3MS a new H2319 house H1004 , and hath not H3808 W-NPAR dedicated H2596 it ? let him go H1980 and return H7725 to his house H1004 L-CMS-3MS , lest H6435 CONJ he die H4191 VQY3MS in the battle H4421 , and another H312 AMS man H376 D-NMS dedicate H2596 it .
6 And what H4310 W-IGAT man H376 D-NMS is he that H834 RPRO hath planted H5193 a vineyard H3754 , and hath not H3808 W-NPAR yet eaten H2490 of it ? let him also go H1980 and return H7725 unto his house H1004 L-CMS-3MS , lest H6435 CONJ he die H4191 VQY3MS in the battle H4421 , and another H312 AMS man H376 D-NMS eat H2490 of it .
7 And what H4310 W-IGAT man H376 D-NMS is there that H834 RPRO hath betrothed H781 a wife H802 NFS , and hath not H3808 W-NPAR taken H3947 her ? let him go H1980 and return H7725 unto his house H1004 L-CMS-3MS , lest H6435 CONJ he die H4191 VQY3MS in the battle H4421 , and another H312 AMS man H376 D-NMS take H3947 her .
8 And the officers H7860 shall speak H1696 further H3254 unto H413 PREP the people H5971 , and they shall say H559 W-VQQ3MP , What H4310 IPRO man H376 D-NMS is there that is fearful H3373 and fainthearted H7390 ? let him go H1980 and return H7725 unto his house H1004 L-CMS-3MS , lest H3808 W-NPAR his brethren H251 NMP-3MS \'s heart H3824 faint H4549 as well as his heart H3824 .
9 And it shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS , when the officers H7860 have made an end H3615 of speaking H1696 unto H413 PREP the people H5971 , that they shall make H6485 captains H8269 CMP of the armies H6635 to lead H7218 B-NMS the people H5971 D-NMS .
10 When H3588 CONJ thou comest nigh H7126 unto H413 PREP a city H5892 GFS to fight H3898 against H5921 PREP-3FS it , then proclaim H7121 peace H7965 unto H413 PREP it .
11 And it shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS , if H518 PART it make thee answer H6030 of peace H7965 NMS , and open H6605 unto thee , then it shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS , that all H3605 NMS the people H5971 that is found H4672 therein shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS tributaries H4522 unto thee , and they shall serve H5647 thee .
12 And if H518 W-PART it will make no peace H7999 with H5973 PREP-2FS thee , but will make H6213 war H4421 NFS against H5973 PREP-2MS thee , then thou shalt besiege H6696 it :
13 And when the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS hath delivered H5414 it into thine hands H3027 B-CFS-2MS , thou shalt smite H5221 every H3605 NMS male H2138 thereof with the edge H6310 L-CMS of the sword H2719 GFS :
14 But H7535 ADV the women H802 D-NFP , and the little ones H2945 , and the cattle H929 WD-NFS , and all H3605 NMS that H834 RPRO is H1961 VQY3MS in the city H5892 BD-NFS , even all H3605 NMS the spoil H7998 thereof , shalt thou take H962 unto thyself ; and thou shalt eat H398 the spoil H7998 of thine enemies H341 VQPMP-2MS , which H834 RPRO the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS hath given H5414 VQQ3MS thee .
15 Thus H3651 ADV shalt thou do H6213 VQY2MS unto all H3605 L-CMS the cities H5892 which are very H3966 ADV far off H7350 from H4480 PREP-2MS thee , which H834 RPRO are not H3808 NADV of the cities H5892 of these H428 D-DPRO-3MP nations H1471 .
16 But H7535 ADV of the cities H5892 of these H428 D-DPRO-3MP people H5971 , which H834 RPRO the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS doth give H5414 VQPMS thee for an inheritance H5159 NFS , thou shalt save alive H2421 nothing H3808 NADV that breatheth H5397 :
17 But H3588 CONJ thou shalt utterly destroy H2763 them ; namely , the Hittites H2850 , and the Amorites H567 , the Canaanites H3669 , and the Perizzites H6522 WD-EMS , the Hivites H2340 , and the Jebusites H2983 ; as H834 K-RPRO the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 hath commanded H6680 thee :
18 That RPRO they teach H3925 you not H3808 ADV to do H6213 L-VQFC after all H3605 K-NMS their abominations H8441 , which H834 RPRO they have done H6213 VQQ3MP unto their gods H430 ; so should ye sin H2398 against the LORD H3068 L-EDS your God H430 .
19 When H3588 CONJ thou shalt besiege H6696 a city H5892 GFS a long H7227 AMP time H3117 NMP , in making war H3898 against H5921 PREP-3MS it to take H8610 it , thou shalt not H3808 ADV destroy H7843 the trees H6086 thereof by forcing H5080 an axe H1631 against H5921 PREP-3MS them : for H3588 CONJ thou mayest eat H398 of H4480 M-PREP-3MS them , and thou shalt not H3808 NADV cut them down H3772 ( CONJ for CONJ the tree H6086 NMS of the field H7704 D-NMS is man H120 D-NMS \'s life ) to employ H935 them in the siege H4692 :
20 Only H7535 ADV the trees H6086 NMS which H834 RPRO thou knowest H3045 that H3588 CONJ they H1931 PPRO-3MS be not H3808 NADV trees H6086 NMS for meat H3978 , thou shalt destroy H7843 and cut them down H3772 ; and thou shalt build H1129 W-VQQ2MS bulwarks H4692 against H5921 PREP the city H5892 D-GFS that RPRO maketh H6213 war H4421 NFS with H5973 PREP-2MS thee , until H5704 PREP it be subdued H3381 .
