1 পরে সদাপ্রভুর এই বাক্য আমার নিকটে উপস্থিত হইল,

2 হে মনুষ্য-সন্তান, তুমি যিরূশালেমকে তাহার ঘৃণার্হ কার্য্য সকল জ্ঞাত কর।

3 তুমি বল, প্রভু সদাপ্রভু যিরূশালেমকে এই কথা কহেন, তোমার উৎপত্তি ও জন্মস্থান কনানীয়দের দেশ, তোমার পিতা ইমোরীয় ও মাতা হিত্তীয়া।

4 তোমার জন্মের বৃত্তান্ত এই; তুমি যে দিন জন্মিয়াছিলে, তোমার নাড়ী কাটা হয় নাই, এবং তোমাকে পরিষ্কার করণার্থে জলে স্নান করান হয় নাই, তুমি লবণ মাখান বা পটিতে বেষ্টিত হও নাই।

5 তোমার প্রতি কেহ স্নেহদৃষ্টি করিয়া কৃপা সহকারে ইহার কোন কার্য্য করে নাই, কিন্তু তুমি জন্মদিনে আপন স্বাভাবিক ঘৃণার্হ অবস্থাতে মাঠে নিক্ষিপ্তা হইয়াছিলে।

6 আর আমি তোমার নিকট দিয়া গমন করিয়া তোমাকে তোমার রক্তমধ্যে ছট্‌ফট্‌ করিতে দেখিলাম, এবং তোমাকে কহিলাম, ‘তুমি নিজ রক্তে লিপ্তা হইলেও জীবিতা হও,’ হাঁ, তোমাকে কহিলাম, ‘তুমি নিজ রক্তে লিপ্তা হইলেও জীবিতা হও’।

7 আমি তোমাকে ক্ষেত্রস্থ উদ্ভিজ্জের ন্যায় অতিশয় বাড়াইলাম, তাহাতে তুমি বৃদ্ধি পাইয়া বড় হইয়া উঠিলে, পরম শোভা প্রাপ্ত হইলে, তোমার স্তনযুগল পীন ও কেশ দীর্ঘ হইল; কিন্তু তুমি বিবস্ত্রা ও উলঙ্গিনী ছিলে।

8 তখন আমি তোমার নিকট দিয়া গমন করিয়া তোমার প্রতি দৃষ্টিপাত করিলাম, দেখ, তোমার সময় প্রেমের সময়, এই জন্য আমি তোমার উপরে আপন বস্ত্র বিস্তার করিয়া তোমার উলঙ্গতা আচ্ছাদন করিলাম; এবং আমি শপথ করিয়া তোমার সহিত নিয়ম স্থির করিলাম, ইহা প্রভু সদাপ্রভু কহেন, তাহাতে তুমি আমার হইলে।

9 পরে আমি তোমাকে জলে স্নান করাইলাম, তোমার গাত্র হইতে সমস্ত রক্ত ধৌত করিলাম, আর তৈল মর্দ্দন করিলাম।

10 আর আমি তোমাকে বিচিত্র পরিচ্ছদ পরাইলাম, তহশচর্ম্মের পাদুকা পরাইলাম, এবং তোমাকে মসীনা-বস্ত্রের বেষ্টনে বেষ্টিত ও পট্টবস্ত্রে আচ্ছাদিত করিলাম।

11 পরে তোমাকে নানা আভরণে বিভূষিত করিলাম, তোমার হস্তে কঙ্কণ ও গলদেশে হার দিলাম।

12 আমি তোমার নাসিকাতে নথ, কর্ণে দুল ও মস্তকে চারু মুকুট দিলাম।

13 এই প্রকারে তুমি স্বর্ণে ও রৌপ্যে বিভূষিত হইলে; তোমার বস্ত্র মসীনা-সূত্র ও পট্ট দ্বারা নির্ম্মিত এবং শিল্পকর্ম্মে বিচিত্র হইল, তুমি সূক্ষ্ম সূজী, মধু ও তৈল ভোজন করিতে, এবং পরম-সুন্দরী হইয়া অবশেষে রাজ্ঞীর পদ প্রাপ্ত হইলে।

14 আর তোমার সৌন্দর্য্যের জন্য জাতিগণের মধ্যে তোমার কীর্ত্তি ব্যাপিল, কেননা আমি তোমাকে যে শোভা দিয়াছিলাম, তাহা দ্বারা তোমার সৌন্দর্য্য সিদ্ধ হইয়াছিল, ইহা প্রভু সদাপ্রভু কহেন।

15 পরে তুমি আপন সৌন্দর্য্যে নির্ভর করিয়া নিজ কীর্ত্তির অভিমানে ব্যভিচারিণী হইলে; যে কেহ নিকট দিয়া যাইত, তাহার উপরে তোমার ব্যভিচাররূপ জল সেচন করিতে; উহা তাহারই ভোগ্য হইত।

16 আর তুমি আপনার কোন কোন বস্ত্র লইয়া আপনার জন্য চিত্র বিচিত্র উচ্চস্থলী প্রস্তুত করিয়া তাহার উপরে বেশ্যাক্রিয়া করিতে; এরূপ হইবেও না, হইবারও নয়।

17 আর আমার সুবর্ণ ও আমার রৌপ্য দ্বারা নির্ম্মিত যে সকল চারু আভরণ আমি তোমাকে দিয়াছিলাম, তুমি তাহা লইয়া পুরুষাকৃতি প্রতিমা নির্ম্মাণ করিয়া তাহাদের সহিত ব্যভিচার করিতে।

18 আর তুমি আপন বিচিত্র বস্ত্র সকল লইয়া তাহাদিগকে পরিধান করাইতে, এবং আমার তৈল ও আমার ধূপ তাহাদের সম্মুখে রাখিতে।

19 আর আমি তোমাকে আমার যে খাদ্য দিয়াছিলাম, যে সূক্ষ্ম সূজী, তৈল ও মধু তোমাকে খাইতে দিয়াছিলাম, তাহা তুমি সৌরভার্থে তাহাদের সম্মুখে রাখিতে; ইহাই করা হইত, ইহা প্রভু সদাপ্রভু কহেন।

20 আর তুমি, আমার জন্য প্রসূত তোমার যে পুত্রকন্যাগণ, তাহাদিগকে লইয়া ভক্ষ্যরূপে উহাদের কাছে উৎসর্গ করিয়াছ।

21 তোমার ব্যভিচার কি ক্ষুদ্র বিষয় যে, তুমি আমার সন্তানগণকেও বধ করিয়া উৎসর্গ করিয়াছ, উহাদের জন্য অগ্নির মধ্য দিয়া গমন করাইয়াছ?

22 আপনার সমস্ত ঘৃণার্হ কার্য্যে ও ব্যভিচারে মগ্ন হওয়াতে তুমি আপন যৌবনাবস্থার সেই সময় স্মরণ কর নাই, যখন তুমি বিবস্ত্রা ও উলঙ্গিনী ছিলে, নিজ রক্তে ছট্‌ফট্‌ করিতেছিলে।

23 আর তোমার এই সকল দুষ্কার্য্যের পরে—প্রভু সদাপ্রভু কহেন, ধিক্‌, ধিক্‌ তোমাকে!

24 —তুমি আপনার নিমিত্ত টিকরস্থান নির্ম্মাণ করিয়াছ, এবং প্রত্যেক চকে উচ্চস্থান প্রস্তুত করিয়াছ।

25 প্রত্যেক পথের মস্তকে তুমি আপনার উচ্চস্থান নির্ম্মাণ করিয়াছ, আপন সৌন্দর্য্যকে ঘৃণার্হ বস্তু করিয়াছ, প্রত্যেক পথিকের জন্য আপনার পা খুলিয়া দিয়াছ, এবং আপন বেশ্যাক্রিয়া বাড়াইয়াছ।

26 আরও তুমি তোমার প্রতিবাসী স্থূলমাংস মিস্রীয়দের সহিত ব্যভিচার করিয়াছ, এবং আমাকে অসন্তুষ্ট করণার্থে তোমার বেশ্যাক্রিয়া আরও বাড়াইয়াছ।

27 এই জন্য দেখ, আমি তোমার উপরে হস্ত বিস্তার করিয়া তোমার নিরূপিত বৃত্তি খর্ব্ব করিলাম; এবং যাহারা তোমাকে দ্বেষ করে, যে পলেষ্টীয়দের কন্যারা তোমার কুকর্ম্মের ব্যবহারে লজ্জিতা হইয়াছে, তাহাদের ইচ্ছায় তোমাকে সমর্পণ করিলাম।

28 আরও তুমি তৃপ্ত না হওয়াতে অশূরীয়দের সহিত বেশ্যাক্রিয়া করিয়াছ; কিন্তু তাহাদের সহিত ব্যভিচার করিলেও তৃপ্ত হও নাই।

29 আর তুমি বাণিজ্যের দেশ কল্‌দিয়া পর্য্যন্ত আপন ব্যভিচার বৃদ্ধি করিয়াছ, কিন্তু ইহাতেও তৃপ্ত হইলে না।

30 প্রভু সদাপ্রভু কহেন, তোমার হৃদয় কেমন দুর্ব্বল! তুমি ত এই সমস্ত করিয়াছ, ইহা উদ্ধত বেশ্যার কার্য্য;

31 তুমি প্রত্যেক পথের মস্তকে তোমার টিকরস্থান নির্ম্মাণ করিয়াছ; প্রত্যেক চকে তোমার টিকরস্থান প্রস্তুত করিয়াছ; ইহাতে তুমি বেশ্যাবৎ হও নাই; তুমি ত পণ অবজ্ঞা করিয়াছ।

32 ব্যভিচারিণী স্ত্রী! তুমি আপন স্বামীর পরিবর্ত্তে জারগণকে গ্রহণ করিয়া থাক।

33 লোকে বেশ্যামাত্রকেই মুদ্রা দেয়, কিন্তু তুমি আপনার প্রেমিকমাত্রকেই উপহার দিয়াছ, এবং তোমার বেশ্যাবৃত্তিক্রমে তাহারা যেন সর্ব্বদিক্‌ হইতে তোমার কাছে আইসে, এই জন্য তাহাদিগকে উৎকোচ দিয়াছ।

34 ইহাতে অন্যান্য স্ত্রী হইতে তোমার বেশ্যাবৃত্তি বিপরীত; বস্তুতঃ লোকেরা ব্যভিচারার্থে তোমার পশ্চাদগামী হয় না, আর তুমি কিছু পণ না লইয়া পণ দিয়া থাক, ইহাতেই তোমার কাণ্ড বিপরীত।

35 অতএব, হে বেশ্যা, সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য শুন;

36 প্রভু সদাপ্রভু এই কথা কহেন, তোমার তাম্র ঢালিয়া দেওয়া হইয়াছে, এবং তোমার প্রেমিকগণের সহিত তোমার ব্যভিচার হেতু তোমার উলঙ্গতা অনাবৃত হইয়াছে, সে জন্য, এবং তোমার সমস্ত ঘৃণার্হ পুত্তলির জন্য, আর তুমি তাহাদিগকে যে রক্ত দিয়াছ, তোমার সন্তানগণের সেই রক্তের জন্য,

37 দেখ, আমি তোমার সেই সমস্ত প্রেমিককে একত্র করিব, যাহাদের সঙ্গে তুমি রমণ করিয়াছ, এবং যাহাদিগকে তুমি প্রেম করিয়াছ, ও যাহাদিগকে দ্বেষ করিয়াছ; তোমার বিরুদ্ধে চারিদিক্‌ হইতে তাহাদিগকে একত্র করিব, পরে তাহাদের সম্মুখে তোমার উলঙ্গতা অনাবৃত করিব, তাহাতে তাহারা তোমার সমস্ত উলঙ্গতা দেখিবে।

38 আর সতীধর্ম্মভ্রষ্টা ও রক্তপাতকারিণী স্ত্রীলোকদিগের বিচারের ন্যায় আমি তোমার বিচার করিব, এবং ক্রোধের ও অন্তর্জ্বালার রক্ত তোমার উপরে উপস্থিত করিব।

39 আর আমি তাহাদের হস্তে তোমাকে সমর্পণ করিব, তাহাতে তাহারা তোমার উচ্চস্থান ভাঙ্গিয়া ফেলিবে, তোমার উচ্চস্থান সকল উৎপাটন করিবে, তোমাকে বিবস্ত্রা করিবে, এবং তোমার চারু আভরণ সকল হরণ করিবে; তাহারা তোমাকে বিবস্ত্রা ও উলঙ্গিনী করিয়া রাখিবে।

40 আর তাহারা তোমার বিরুদ্ধে সমাজ আনিবে, প্রস্তরাঘাতে তোমাকে বধ করিবে, ও আপন আপন খড়্‌গ দ্বারা বিদ্ধ করিবে;

41 এবং তোমার গৃহ সকল আগুনে পোড়াইয়া দিবে, ও অনেক স্ত্রীলোকের সাক্ষাতে তোমাকে বিচারসিদ্ধ দণ্ড দিবে; এইরূপে আমি তোমার ব্যভিচার ক্রিয়া ক্ষান্ত করাইব, তুমি আর পণ দিবে না।

42 আমি তোমার প্রতি আপন ক্রোধ চরিতার্থ করিয়া শান্ত হইব, তাহাতে তোমার উপর হইতে আমার অন্তর্জ্বালা যাইবে, আমি ক্ষান্ত হইব, আর অসন্তুষ্ট হইব না।

43 তুমি আপন যৌবনাবস্থা স্মরণ কর নাই, কিন্তু এই সকল বিষয়ে আমাকে ক্রুদ্ধ করিয়াছ; এই জন্য দেখ, আমিও তোমার কার্য্যের ফল তোমার মস্তকে দিব, ইহা প্রভু সদাপ্রভু কহেন; ঐ সকল ঘৃণার্হ আচরণের পরে তুমি আর কুকর্ম্ম করিবে না।

44 দেখ, যে কেহ প্রবাদ ব্যবহার করে, সে তোমার বিরুদ্ধে এই প্রবাদ ব্যবহার করিবে, ‘যেমন মাতা তেমনি কন্যা’।

45 তুমি নিজ মাতার কন্যা, সেও আপন স্বামীকে ও সন্তানগণকে ঘৃণা করিত; এবং তুমি নিজ ভগিনীদের ভগিনী, তাহারাও আপন আপন স্বামী ও সন্তানগণকে ঘৃণা করিত; তোমাদের মাতা হিত্তীয়া ও তোমাদের পিতা ইমোরীয় ছিল।

46 তোমার বড় ভগিনী শমরিয়া, সে আপন কন্যাগণের সহিত তোমার বামদিকে বসতি করে; এবং তোমার ছোট ভগিনী সদোম, সে আপন কন্যাগণের সহিত তোমার দক্ষিণে বসতি করে।

47 কিন্তু তুমি যে তাহাদের পথে গমন করিয়াছ ও তাহাদের ঘৃণার্হ ক্রিয়ানুসারে কার্য্য করিয়াছ, তাহা নহে, বরং উহা লঘু বিষয় বলিয়া আপনার সমস্ত আচার-ব্যবহারে তাহাদের হইতেও ভ্রষ্টা হইয়াছ।

48 প্রভু সদাপ্রভু কহেন, আমার জীবনের দিব্য, তোমার ভগিনী সদোম ও তাহার কন্যাগণ তোমার মত ও তোমার কন্যাদের মত ক্রিয়া করে নাই।

49 দেখ, তোমার ভগিনী সদোমের এই অপরাধ ছিল; তাহার ও তাহার কন্যাদিগের দর্প, ভক্ষ্যের পূর্ণতা এবং নিশ্চিন্ততাযুক্ত শান্তি ছিল; আর সে দুঃখী ও দরিদ্রের হস্ত সবল করিত না।

50 তাহারা অহঙ্কারিণী ছিল, ও আমার সাক্ষাতে ঘৃণার্হ ক্রিয়া করিত, অতএব আমি তাহা দেখিয়া তাহাদিগকে দূর করিলাম।

51 আর শমরিয়া তোমার পাপের অর্দ্ধেক পাপও করে নাই, কিন্তু তুমি আপন ঘৃণার্হ ক্রিয়া তাহাদের হইতেও অধিক বাড়াইয়াছ, এবং আপনার কৃত সমস্ত ঘৃণার্হ ক্রিয়া দ্বারা আপন ভগিনীদিগকে ধার্ম্মিক প্রতিপন্ন করিয়াছ।

52 তুমিও নিজ অপমান বহন কর, কেননা তুমি তোমার ভগিনীদের পক্ষে বিচার নিষ্পত্তি করিয়াছ; তুমি যে সকল পাপকার্য্য দ্বারা তাহাদের অপেক্ষা অধিক ঘৃণার্হ হইয়াছ; তৎপ্রযুক্ত তাহারা তোমা অপেক্ষা ধার্ম্মিক হইয়াছে; তুমিও লজ্জিতা হও, নিজ অপমান বহন কর, কেননা তুমি আপন ভগিনীদিগকে ধার্ম্মিক প্রতিপন্ন করিয়াছ।

53 আমি তাহাদের বন্দি-দশা, সদোম ও তাহার কন্যাদের বন্দি-দশা, এবং শমরিয়া ও তাহার কন্যাদের বন্দি-দশা ফিরাইব, এবং তাহাদের মধ্যে তোমার বন্দিদের বন্দি-দশা ফিরাইব;

54 যেন তুমি আপন ভগিনীদের সান্ত্বনার কারণ হইয়া, যাহা যাহা করিয়াছ, সেই সকল ক্রিয়া প্রযুক্ত নিজ অপমান বহন করিতে ও অপমানিত হইতে পার।

55 আর তোমার ভগিনীরা, সদোম ও তাহার কন্যাগণ, পূর্ব্বদশা প্রাপ্ত হইবে, এবং শমরিয়া ও তাহার কন্যাগণ পূর্ব্বদশা প্রাপ্ত হইবে, এবং তুমি ও তোমার কন্যাগণ পূর্ব্বদশা প্রাপ্ত হইবে।

56 তোমার অহঙ্কারের সময়ে তুমি আপন ভগিনী সদোমের নাম মুখে আনিতে না;

57 তখন তোমার দুষ্টতা প্রকাশ পায় নাই; যেমন এই সময়ে অরামের কন্যারা ও তাহার চারিদিকের নিবাসিনী সকলে, পলেষ্টীয়দের কন্যারা, তোমাকে টিটকারি দিতেছে; ইহারা চারিদিকে তোমাকে তুচ্ছ করে।

58 তুমি আপন কুকর্ম্মের ও আপন ঘৃণার্হ আচরণেরই ভার বহন করিয়াছ, ইহা সদাপ্রভু কহেন।

59 কেননা প্রভু সদাপ্রভু এই কথা কহেন, তুমি যেরূপ কর্ম্ম করিয়াছ, আমি তোমার প্রতি তদনুরূপ কর্ম্ম করিব; তুমি ত শপথ অবজ্ঞা করিয়া নিয়ম ভঙ্গ করিয়াছ।

60 তথাপি তোমার যৌবনকালে তোমার সহিত আমার যে নিয়ম ছিল, তাহা আমি স্মরণ করিব, এবং তোমার পক্ষে চিরস্থায়ী এক নিয়ম স্থির করিব।

61 তখন তুমি আপন আচার ব্যবহার স্মরণ করিয়া লজ্জিতা হইবে, যখন আপনার ভগিনীদিগকে, আপনার বড় ও ছোট ভগিনীদিগকে, গ্রহণ করিবে; আর আমি তাহাদিগকে কন্যাদের ন্যায় তোমাকে দিব, কিন্তু তোমার নিয়মক্রমে নয়।

62 বাস্তবিক আমিই তোমার সহিত আপন নিয়ম স্থির করিব; তাহাতে তুমি জানিবে যে, আমিই সদাপ্রভু;

63 অভিপ্রায় এই, আমি যখন তোমার ক্রিয়া সকল মার্জ্জনা করিব, তখন তুমি যেন তাহা স্মরণ করিয়া লজ্জিতা হও, ও নিজ অপমান প্রযুক্ত আর কখনও মুখ না খুল, ইহা প্রভু সদাপ্রভু বলেন।

62 And I ^H589 will establish ^H6965 ^H853 my covenant ^H1285 with ^H854 thee ; and thou shalt know ^H3045 that ^H3588 I ^H589 am the LORD: ^H3068
