Genesis 48:20 (BNV) Bengali Old BSI Version

1 কিছু সময় পরে য়োষেফ জানতে পারলেন য়ে তাঁর পিতা খুব অসুস্থ| তাই য়োষেফ তাঁর দুই পুত্র মনঃশি ও ইফ্রয়িমকে নিয়ে তাঁর পিতার কাছে গেলেন|
2 য়োষেফ সেখানে পৌঁছালে ইস্রায়েলকে কেউ খবর দিলেন, “আপনার পুত্র য়োষেফ আপনাকে দেখতে এসেছেন|” ইস্রায়েল খুব দুর্বল হয়ে পড়েছিলেন, কিন্তু তিনি খুব চেষ্টা করে কোন মতে বিছানায উঠে বসলেন|
3 তখন ইস্রায়েল য়োষেফকে বললেন, “কনান দেশের লূস নামক জায়গায় সর্বশক্তিমান ঈশ্বর আমার সামনে আবির্ভূত হয়েছিলেন| সেখানে ঈশ্বর আমায় আশীর্বাদ করেছিলেন|
4 ঈশ্বর আমায় বলেছিলেন, “আমি তোমাকে বহু বংশ করব| তোমার অনেক সন্তানসন্ততি হবে এবং তারা মহান হবে| এই দেশ তোমার বংশধররা চিরকালের জন্য তাদের অধিকারে রাখবে|”
5 আর এখন তোমার দুই পুত্র, আমার আসার আগেই মিশর দেশে এদের জন্ম হয়েছিল| তোমরা দুই পুত্র মনঃশি ও ইফ্রয়িম আমার কাছে নিজের পুত্রের মতই হোক| তারা আমার কাছে রূবেণ ও শিমিয়োনের মত হোক|
6 সুতরাং ঐ দুই জন পুত্র আমারই হোক| তারা আমার সব কিছুর অংশীদার হবে| কিন্তু এছাড়া তোমার যদি আর অন্য পুত্র থাকে তবে তা তোমারই হোক| আর তারা ইফ্রয়িম ও মনঃশির কাছে সন্তানের মতই হোক - অর্থাত্‌ ভবিষ্যতে তারা ইফ্রয়িম ও মনঃশির অধিকারভুক্ত সব কিছুরই অংশীদার হবে|
7 পদ্দম্-অরাম থেকে আসার সময় রাহেল মারা গেলেন| এই ঘটনায আমি অত্যন্ত দুঃখ পেলাম| আমরা যখন ইফ্রাথের দিকে যাচ্ছিলাম তখন কনান দেশে তিনি মারা গেলেন| আমি তাকে সেখানে ইফ্রাথ যাবার পথের ধারে কবর দিলাম| (ইফ্রাথ বৈত্‌লেহেমের অপর নাম|)”
8 তখন ইস্রায়েল য়োষেফের পুত্রদের দেখে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, “এই বালকরা কারা?”
9 য়োষেফ তাঁর পিতাকে বললেন, “এরা আমার পুত্ররা, ঈশ্বরই এদের আমায় দিয়েছেন|”ইস্রায়েল বললেন, “তোমার ছেলেদের আমার কাছে নিয়ে এস| আমি তাদের আশীর্বাদ করব|”
10 ইস্রায়েল বৃদ্ধ হয়েছিলেন এবং চোখেও ভালো দেখতে পেতেন না| তাই য়োষেফ দুই পুত্রকে পিতার খুব কাছে নিয়ে এলেন| ইস্রায়েল তাদের গলা জড়িয়ে চুমু খেলেন|
11 তারপর ইস্রায়েল য়োষেফকে বললেন, “আমি ভাবতেই পারি নি য়ে কখনও তোমার মুখ দেখতে পাব| কিন্তু দেখ! ঈশ্বর আমাকে তোমার এমনকি তোমার পুত্রদেরও দেখতে দিলেন|”
12 তারপর য়োষেফ ইস্রায়েলের কোল থেকে তার পুত্রদের নিলেন এবং তারা ইস্রায়েলের সামনে মাথা নত করল|
13 য়োষেফ ইফ্রয়িমকে তার ডানদিকে এবং মনঃশিকে তার বাঁ দিকে রাখলেন| (সুতরাং ইফ্রয়িম ইস্রায়েলের বাম দিকে ও মনঃশি তার ডান দিকে রইল|)
14 কিন্তু ইস্রায়েল তাঁর হাত আড়াআড়ি ভাবে রেখে তার ডান হাত ছোট পুত্র ইফ্রয়িমের মাথায় রাখলেন| ইস্রায়েল তার বাম হাত বড় পুত্র মনঃশির মাথায় রাখলেন| মনঃশি প্রথমজাত হলেও তিনি বাম হাত তার উপরে রাখলেন|
15 ইস্রায়েল য়োষেফকে আশীর্বাদ করে বললেন,“আমার পূর্বপুরুষ অব্রাহাম ও ইসহাক আমাদের ঈশ্বরের উপাসনা করতেন| আর সেই ঈশ্বরই সারা জীবন আমায় গ্রহণ করেছেন|
16 তিনিই সেই দেবদূত যিনি আমায় সব সমস্যা থেকে রক্ষা করেছেন| আমার প্রার্থনা, তিনিই এই পুত্রদের আশীর্বাদ করবেন| এখন এই পুত্ররা আমার এবং আমার পূর্বপুরুষ অব্রাহাম ও ইসহাকের নামে আখ্যাত হোক| আমার প্রার্থনা তারা য়েন পৃথিবীতে বৃদ্ধি পযে বহু বংশ ও বহু জাতি হয়|”
17 য়োষেফ যখন দেখলেন তাঁর পিতা ডান হাত ইফ্রয়িমের মাথায় রেখেছেন, তখন তিনি খুশী হলেন না| য়োষেফ পিতার হাত ইফ্রযিমের মাথা থেকে তুলে ধরে মনঃশির মাথায় রাখতে চাইলেন|
18 য়োষেফ তার পিতাকে বললেন, “আপনি আপনার ডান হাত ভুল জনের মাথার উপর রেখেছেন| মনঃশিই প্রথমজাত| তার উপরেই ডান হাত রাখুন|”
19 কিন্তু তাঁর পিতা তর্ক করে বললেন, “আমি জানি বত্স, আমি জানি| মনঃশি প্রথমজাত সে মহান হবে, বহুলোকের পিতা হবে কিন্তু ছোট জন বড় জনের চেয়েও মহান হবে আর তার বংশ আরও অনেক হবে|”
20 তাই ইস্রায়েল সেই দিন এই বলে আশীর্বাদ করলেন,“ইস্রায়েল কাউকে আশীর্বাদ করতে তোমাদেরই নাম ব্যবহার করবে| তারা বলবে, “ঈশ্বর তোমাকে য়েন মনঃশি ও ইফ্রযিমের মতো করেন|”এইভাবে ইস্রায়েল মনঃশির চাইতে ইফ্রয়িমকে বড় করলেন|
21 তারপর ইস্রায়েল য়োষেফকে বললেন, “দেখ আমার মৃত্যুর সময় কাছে এসে গেছে| কিন্তু ঈশ্বর তোমার সঙ্গে থাকবেন| তিনিই তোমাকে আবার তোমার পূর্বপুরুষদের দেশে নিয়ে যাবেন|
22 আমি তোমাকে যা দিলাম তা তোমার ভাইদের দিই নি| ইমোরীয়দের হাত থেকে য়ে পাহাড় আমি জয় করে নিয়েছিলাম তা তোমায় দিচ্ছি| আমি সেই পাহাড় জয় করতে আমার তরবারি ও ধনুক ব্যবহার করেছিলাম এবং আমি জয়ী হয়েছিলাম|”
1 And it came to pass H1961 W-VQY3MS after H310 PREP these H428 D-DPRO-3MP things H1697 AMP , that one told H559 W-VQY3MS Joseph H3130 , Behold H2009 IJEC , thy father H1 NMS is sick H2470 : and he took H3947 W-VQY3MS with H5973 PREP-3MS him his two H8147 ONUM sons H1121 CMP-3MS , Manasseh H4519 and Ephraim H669 .
2 And one told H5046 W-VHY3MS Jacob H3290 , and said H559 W-VQY3MS , Behold H2009 IJEC , thy son H1121 Joseph H3130 cometh H935 VQPMS unto H413 PREP-2MS thee : and Israel H3478 strengthened himself H2388 , and sat H3427 W-VQY3MS upon H5921 PREP the bed H4296 .
3 And Jacob H3290 said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP Joseph H3130 , God H410 EDS Almighty H7706 EDS appeared H7200 unto H413 PREP me at Luz H3870 in the land H776 B-GFS of Canaan H3667 EMS , and blessed H1288 W-VNY3MS me ,
4 And said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP-1MS me , Behold H2009 , I will make thee fruitful H6509 , and multiply H7235 thee , and I will make H5414 of thee a multitude H6951 of people H5971 NMP ; and will give H5414 this H2063 D-DFS land H776 D-GFS to thy seed H2233 L-CMS-2MS after H310 thee for an everlasting H5769 NMS possession H272 .
5 And now H6258 W-ADV thy two H8147 sons H1121 CMP-2MS , Ephraim H669 and Manasseh H4519 , which were born H3205 unto thee in the land H776 B-GFS of Egypt H4714 EFS before H5704 PREP I came H935 unto H413 PREP-2MS thee into Egypt H4714 TFS-3FS , are mine ; as Reuben H7205 and Simeon H8095 , they shall be H1961 mine .
6 And thy issue H4138 , which H834 RPRO thou begettest H3205 after H310 them , shall be H1961 VQY3MP thine , and shall be called H7121 after H5921 PREP the name H8034 CMS of their brethren H251 in their inheritance H5159 .
7 And as for me H589 W-PPRO-1MS , when I came H935 from Padan H6307 , Rachel H7354 died H4191 by H5921 PREP-1MS me in the land H776 B-GFS of Canaan H3667 LMS in the way H1870 , when yet H5750 B-ADV there was but a little H3530 way H776 GFS to come H935 unto Ephrath H672 : and I buried H6912 her there H8033 in the way H1870 B-NMS of Ephrath H672 ; the same H1931 PPRO-3FS is Bethlehem H1035 .
8 And Israel H3478 beheld H7200 W-VIY3MS Joseph H3130 \'s sons H1121 , and said H559 W-VQY3MS , Who H4310 IPRO are these H428 DPRO ?
9 And Joseph H3130 said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP his father H1 CMS-3MS , They H1992 PPRO-3MP are my sons H1121 , whom H834 RPRO God H430 EDP hath given H5414 me in this H2088 place . And he said H559 W-VQY3MS , Bring H3947 them , I pray thee H4994 IJEC , unto H413 PREP me , and I will bless H1288 them .
10 Now the eyes H5869 W-CMD of Israel H3478 were dim H3513 for age H2207 , so that he could H3201 VQY3MS not H3808 NADV see H7200 L-VQFC . And he brought them near H5066 unto H413 PREP-3MS him ; and he kissed H5401 them , and embraced H2263 them .
11 And Israel H3478 said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP Joseph H3130 , I had not H3808 NADV thought H6419 to see H7200 thy face H6440 CMP-2MS : and , lo H2009 IJEC , God H430 EDP hath showed H7200 me also H1571 CONJ thy seed H2233 .
12 And Joseph H3130 brought them out H3318 from between H5973 M-PREP his knees H1290 , and he bowed himself H7812 with his face H639 to the earth H776 NFS-3FS .
13 And Joseph H3130 took H3947 W-VQY3MS them both H8147 ONUM-3MP , Ephraim H669 in his right hand H3225 toward Israel H3478 \'s left hand H8040 M-NMS , and Manasseh H4519 in his left hand H8040 toward Israel H3478 \'s right hand H3225 , and brought them near H5066 unto H413 him .
14 And Israel H3478 stretched out H7971 W-VQY3MS his right hand H3225 CFS-3MS , and laid H7896 it upon H5921 PREP Ephraim H669 \'s head H7218 NMS , who H1931 W-PPRO-3MS was the younger H6810 , and his left hand H8040 upon H5921 PREP Manasseh H4519 \'s head H7218 NMS , guiding his hands wittingly H7919 ; for H3588 CONJ Manasseh H4519 was the firstborn H1060 D-NMS .
15 And he blessed H1288 W-VNY3MS Joseph H3130 , and said H559 W-VQY3MS , God H430 D-NAME-4MP , before H6440 L-CMP-3MS whom H834 RPRO my fathers H1 Abraham H85 and Isaac H3327 did walk H1980 , the God H430 D-NAME-4MP which fed H7462 me all my life long H5750 unto H5704 PREP this H2088 D-PMS day H3117 D-AMS ,
16 The Angel H4397 which redeemed H1350 me from all H3605 M-CMS evil H7451 AMS , bless H1288 the lads H5288 D-NMP ; and let my name H8034 be named H7121 on them , and the name H8034 W-CMS of my fathers H1 Abraham H85 and Isaac H3327 ; and let them grow H1711 into a multitude H7230 LD-NMS in the midst H7130 of the earth H776 D-GFS .
17 And when Joseph H3130 saw H7200 W-VIY3MS that H3588 CONJ his father H1 CMS-3MS laid H7896 VQY3MS his right H3225 CFS-3MS hand H3027 CFS upon H5921 PREP the head H7218 NMS of Ephraim H669 , it displeased H7489 W-VQY3MS him : and he held up H8551 his father H1 CMS-3MS \'s hand H3027 CFS , to remove H5493 L-VHFC it from PREP Ephraim H669 \'s head H7218 NMS unto H5921 PREP Manasseh H4519 \'s head H7218 NMS .
18 And Joseph H3130 said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP his father H1 CMS-3MS , Not H3808 NADV so H3651 ADV , my father H1 CMS-1MS : for H3588 CONJ this H2088 DPRO is the firstborn H1060 ; put H7760 VQFC thy right hand H3225 upon H5921 PREP his head H7218 CMP-3MS .
19 And his father H1 CMS-3MS refused H3985 , and said H559 W-VQY3MS , I know H3045 it , my son H1121 , I know H3045 VQY1MS it : he H1931 PPRO-3MS also H1571 CONJ shall become H1961 VQY3MS a people H5971 , and he H1931 PPRO-3MS also H1571 W-CONJ shall be great H1431 : but truly H199 W-CONJ his younger H6996 D-AMS brother H251 CMS-3MS shall be greater H1431 than H4480 M-PREP-3MS he , and his seed H2233 shall become H1961 VQY3MS a multitude H4393 of nations H1471 .
20 And he blessed H1288 them that H1931 D-PPRO-3MS day H3117 B-AMS , saying H559 , In thee shall Israel H3478 bless H1288 , saying H559 L-VQFC , God H430 EDP make H7760 thee as Ephraim H669 and as Manasseh H4519 : and he set H7760 W-VQY3MS Ephraim H669 before H6440 L-CMP Manasseh H4519 .
21 And Israel H3478 said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP Joseph H3130 , Behold H2009 IJEC , I H595 PPRO-1MS die H4191 : but God H430 EDP shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS with H5973 PREP-3MP you , and bring you again H7725 unto H413 PREP the land H776 GFS of your fathers H1 .
22 Moreover I H589 W-PPRO-1MS have given H5414 to thee one H259 portion H7926 CMS above H5921 PREP thy brethren H251 CMP-2MS , which H834 RPRO I took H3947 out of the hand H3027 M-GFS of the Amorite H567 with my sword H2719 and with my bow H7198 .
