1 এক দিন বিশ্রামবারে যীশু শস্যক্ষেত্র দিয়া যাইতেছিলেন, এমন সময়ে তাঁহার শিষ্যেরা শীষ ছিঁড়িয়া ছিঁড়িয়া হাতে মাড়িয়া খাইতে লাগিলেন।
2 তাহাতে কএক জন ফরীশী কহিল, বিশ্রামবারে যাহা করা বিধেয় নয়, তোমরা কেন তাহা করিতেছ?
3 যীশু উত্তর করিয়া তাহাদিগকে কহিলেন, দায়ূদ ও তাঁহার সঙ্গীরা ক্ষুধিত হইলে তিনি কি করিয়াছিলেন, তাহাও কি তোমরা পাঠ কর নাই?
4 তিনি ত ঈশ্বরের গৃহে প্রবেশ করিয়া, যে দর্শন-রুটী কেবল যাজকবর্গ ব্যতিরেকে আর কাহারও ভোজন করা বিধেয় নয়, তাহা লইয়া আপনি ভোজন করিয়াছিলেন, এবং সঙ্গিগণকে দিয়াছিলেন।
5 পরে তিনি তাহাদিগকে কহিলেন, মনুষ্যপুত্র বিশ্রামবারের কর্ত্তা।
6 আর এক বিশ্রামবারে তিনি সমাজ-গৃহে প্রবেশ করিয়া উপদেশ দিলেন; সেই স্থানে একটী লোক ছিল, তাহার দক্ষিণ হস্ত শুকাইয়া গিয়াছিল।
7 আর অধ্যাপকেরা ও ফরীশীরা, তিনি বিশ্রামবারে সুস্থ করেন কি না, দেখিবার জন্য তাঁহার প্রতি দৃষ্টি রাখিল, যেন তাঁহার নামে দোষারোপ করিবার সূত্র পায়।
8 কিন্তু তিনি তাহাদের চিন্তা জ্ঞাত ছিলেন, আর সেই শুষ্কহস্ত ব্যক্তিকে কহিলেন, উঠ, মাঝখানে দাঁড়াও। তাহাতে সে উঠিয়া দাঁড়াইল।
9 পরে যীশু তাহাদিগকে কহিলেন, তোমাদিগকে জিজ্ঞাসা করি, বিশ্রামবারে কি করা বিধেয়? ভাল করা না মন্দ করা? প্রাণ রক্ষা করা না নাশ করা?
10 পরে তিনি চারিদিকে তাহাদের সকলের প্রতি দৃষ্টিপাত করিয়া সেই লোকটীকে বলিলেন, তোমার হাত বাড়াইয়া দেও। সে তাহা করিল, আর তাহার হাত সুস্থ হইল।
11 কিন্তু তাহারা উন্মত্ততায় পূর্ণ হইল, আর যীশুর প্রতি কি করিবে, তাহাই পরস্পর বলাবলি করিতে লাগিল।
12 সেই সময়ে তিনি একদা প্রার্থনা করণার্থে বাহির হইয়া পর্ব্বতে গেলেন, আর ঈশ্বরের নিকটে প্রার্থনা করিতে করিতে সমস্ত রাত্রি যাপন করিলেন।
13 পরে যখন দিবস হইল, তিনি আপন শিষ্যগণকে ডাকিলেন, এবং তাঁহাদের মধ্য হইতে বারো জনকে মনোনীত করিলেন, আর তাঁহাদিগকে ‘প্রেরিত’ নাম দিলেন;
14 —শিমোন, যাঁহাকে তিনি পিতর নামও দিলেন, ও তাঁহার ভ্রাতা আন্দ্রিয়, এবং যাকোব ও যোহন, এবং ফিলিপ ও বর্থলময়, এবং মথি ও থোমা,
15 এবং আল্‌ফেয়ের পুত্র যাকোব ও উদ্‌যোগী আখ্যাত শিমোন, যাকোবের পুত্র যিহূদা,
16 এবং ঈষ্করিয়োতীয় যিহূদা, যে তাঁহাকে শত্রু হস্তে সমর্পণ করে।
17 পরে তিনি তাঁহাদের সহিত নামিয়া এক সমান ভূমির উপরে গিয়া দাঁড়াইলেন; আর তাঁহার অনেক শিষ্য এবং সমস্ত যিহূদিয়া ও যিরূশালেম এবং সোর ও সীদোনের সমুদ্র উপকূল হইতে বিস্তর লোক উপস্থিত হইল; তাহারা তাঁহার বাক্য শুনিবার ও আপন আপন রোগ হইতে সুস্থ হইবার নিমিত্তে তাঁহার নিকটে আসিয়াছিল,
18 এবং যাহারা অশুচি আত্মা দ্বারা উৎপীড়িত হইতেছিল, তাহারা সুস্থ হইল।
19 আর, সমস্ত লোক তাঁহাকে স্পর্শ করিতে চেষ্টা করিল, কেননা তাঁহা হইতে শক্তি নির্গত হইয়া সকলকে সুস্থ করিতেছিল।
20 পরে তিনি আপন শিষ্যগণের প্রতি দৃষ্টিপাত করিয়া কহিলেন, ধন্য দীনহীনেরা, কারণ ঈশ্বরের রাজ্য তোমাদেরই।
21 ধন্য তোমরা, যাহারা এক্ষণে ক্ষুধিত, কারণ তোমরা পরিতৃপ্ত হইবে। ধন্য তোমরা, যাহারা এক্ষণে রোদন কর, কারণ তোমরা হাসিবে।
22 ধন্য তোমরা, যখন লোকে মনুষ্যপুত্রের নিমিত্ত তোমাদিগকে দ্বেষ করে, আর যখন তোমাদিগকে পৃথক্‌ করিয়া দেয়, ও নিন্দা করে, এবং তোমাদের নাম মন্দ বলিয়া দূর করিয়া দেয়।
23 সেই দিন আনন্দ করিও ও নৃত্য করিও, কেননা দেখ, স্বর্গে তোমাদের পুরস্কার প্রচুর; কেননা তাহাদের পিতৃপুরুষেরা ভাববাদিগণের প্রতি তাহাই করিত।
24 কিন্তু ধিক্‌ তোমাদিগকে, হা ধনবানেরা, কারণ তোমরা আপনাদের সান্ত্বনা পাইয়াছ।
25 ধিক্‌ তোমাদিগকে, যাহারা এক্ষণে পরিতৃপ্ত, কারণ তোমরা ক্ষুধিত হইবে; ধিক্‌ তোমাদিগকে, যাহারা এক্ষণে হাস্য কর, কারণ তোমরা বিলাপ ও রোদন করিবে।
26 ধিক্‌ তোমাদিগকে, যখন সকল লোকে তোমাদের সুখ্যাতি করে, কারণ তাহাদের পিতৃপুরুষেরা ভাক্ত ভাববাদীদের প্রতি তাহাই করিত।
27 কিন্তু তোমরা যে শুনিতেছ, আমি তোমাদিগকে বলি, তোমরা আপন আপন শত্রুদিগকে প্রেম করিও; যাহারা তোমাদিগকে দ্বেষ করে, তাহাদের মঙ্গল করিও;
28 যাহারা তোমাদিগকে শাপ দেয়, তাহাদিগকে আশীর্ব্বাদ করিও; যাহারা তোমাদিগকে নিন্দা করে, তাহাদের নিমিত্ত প্রার্থনা করিও।
29 যে তোমার এক গালে চড় মারে, তাহার দিকে অন্য গালও পাতিয়া দিও; এবং যে তোমার চোগা তুলিয়া লয়, তাহাকে আঙ্‌রাখাটীও লইতে বারণ করিও না।
30 যে কেহ তোমার কাছে যাচ্ঞা করে, তাহাকে দিও; এবং যে তোমার দ্রব্য তুলিয়া লয়, তাহার কাছে তাহা আর চাহিও না।
31 আর তোমরা যেরূপ ইচ্ছা কর যে, লোকে তোমাদের প্রতি করে, তোমরাও তাহাদের প্রতি সেইরূপ করিও।
32 আর যাহারা তোমাদিগকে প্রেম করে, তাহাদিগকেই প্রেম করিলে তোমরা কিরূপ সাধুবাদ পাইতে পার? কেননা পাপীরাও, যাহারা তাহাদিগকে প্রেম করে, তাহাদিগকে প্রেম করে।
33 আর যাহারা তোমাদের উপকার করে, যদি তাহাদের উপকার কর, তবে তোমরা কিরূপ সাধুবাদ পাইতে পার? পাপীরাও তাহাই করে।
34 আর যাহাদের কাছে পাইবার আশা থাকে, যদি তাহাদিগকেই ধার দেও, তবে তোমরা কিরূপ সাধুবাদ পাইতে পার? পাপীরাও পাপীদিগকে ধার দেয়, যেন সেই পরিমাণে পুনরায় পায়।
35 কিন্তু তোমরা আপন আপন শত্রুদিগকে প্রেম করিও, তাহাদের ভাল করিও, এবং কখনও নিরাশ না হইয়া ধার দিও, তাহা করিলে তোমাদের মহাপুরস্কার হইবে, এবং তোমরা পরাৎপরের সন্তান হইবে, কেননা তিনি অকৃতজ্ঞদের ও দুষ্টদের প্রতিও কৃপাবান্‌।
36 তোমাদের পিতা যেমন দয়ালু, তোমরাও তেমনি দয়ালু হও।
37 আর তোমরা বিচার করিও না, তাহাতে বিচারিত হইবে না। আর দোষী করিও না, তাহাতে দোষীকৃত হইবে না। তোমরা ছাড়িয়া দিও, তাহাতে তোমাদেরও ছাড়িয়া দেওয়া যাইবে।
38 দেও, তাহাতে তোমাদিগকেও দেওয়া যাইবে; লোকে বিলক্ষণ পরিমাণে চাপিয়া ঝাঁকরিয়া উপচিয়া তোমাদের কোলে দিবে; কারণ তোমরা যে পরিমাণে পরিমাণ কর, সেই পরিমাণে তোমাদেরও নিমিত্তে পরিমাণ করা যাইবে।
39 আর তিনি তাহাদিগকে একটী দৃষ্টান্তও কহিলেন, অন্ধ কি অন্ধকে পথ দেখাইতে পারে? উভয়েই কি গর্ত্তে পড়িবে না?
40 শিষ্য গুরু হইতে বড় নয়, কিন্তু যে কেহ পরিপক্ব হয়,
41 সে আপন গুরুর তুল্য হইবে। আর তোমার ভ্রাতার চক্ষে যে কুটা আছে, তাহাই কেন দেখিতেছ, কিন্তু তোমার নিজের চক্ষে যে কড়িকাট আছে, তাহা কেন ভাবিয়া দেখিতেছ না?
42 তোমার চক্ষে যে কড়িকাট আছে, তাহা যখন দেখিতেছ না, তখন তুমি কেমন করিয়া আপন ভ্রাতাকে বলিতে পার, ভাই, এস, আমি তোমার চক্ষু হইতে কুটাগাছটা বাহির করিয়া দিই? তোমার নিজের চক্ষে যে কড়িকাট আছে, তাহা ত তুমি দেখিতেছ না! হে কপটী, আগে আপনার চক্ষু হইতে কড়িকাট বাহির করিয়া ফেল, তার পর তোমার ভ্রাতার চক্ষে যে কুটা আছে, তাহা বাহির করিবার নিমিত্ত স্পষ্ট দেখিতে পাইবে।
43 কারণ এমন ভাল গাছ নাই, যাহাতে মন্দ ফল ধরে, এবং এমন মন্দ গাছও নাই, যাহাতে ভাল ফল ধরে।
44 স্ব স্ব ফল দ্বারাই প্রত্যেক গাছ চেনা যায়; লোকে ত কাঁটাবন হইতে ডুমুর সংগ্রহ করে না, এবং শ্যাকুলের ঝোপ হইতে দ্রাক্ষাফল সংগ্রহ করে না।
45 ভাল মানুষ আপন হৃদয়ের ভাল ভাণ্ডার হইতে ভালই বাহির করে; এবং মন্দ মানুষ মন্দ ভাণ্ডার হইতে মন্দই বাহির করে; যেহেতুক হৃদয়ের উপচয় হইতে তাহার মুখ কথা কহে।
46 আর তোমরা কেন আমাকে হে প্রভু, হে প্রভু, বলিয়া ডাক, অথচ আমি যাহা যাহা বলি, তাহা কর না?
47 যে কেহ আমার নিকটে আসিয়া আমার বাক্য শুনিয়া পালন করে, সে কাহার তুল্য তাহা আমি তোমাদিগকে জানাইতেছি।
48 সে এমন এক ব্যক্তির তুল্য, যে গৃহ নির্ম্মাণ করিতে গিয়া খনন করিল, খুঁড়িয়া গভীর করিল, ও পাষাণের উপরে ভিত্তিমূল স্থাপন করিল; পরে বন্যা আসিলে সেই গৃহে জলস্রোত বেগে বহিল, কিন্তু তাহা হেলাইতে পারিল না, কারণ তাহা উত্তমরূপে নির্ম্মিত হইয়াছিল।
49 কিন্তু যে শুনিয়া পালন না করে, সে এমন এক ব্যক্তির তুল্য, যে মৃত্তিকার উপরে, বিনা ভিত্তিমূলে, গৃহ নির্ম্মাণ করিল; পরে জলস্রোত বেগে বহিয়া সেই গৃহে লাগিল, আর অমনি তাহা পড়িয়া গেল, এবং সেই গৃহের ভঙ্গ ঘোরতর হইল।

38 Give, G1325 and G2532 it shall be given G1325 unto you, G5213 good G2570 measure, G3358 pressed down, G4085 and G2532 shaken together, G4531 and G2532 running over, G5240 shall men give G1325 into G1519 your G5216 bosom.
