1 আর সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে কহিলেন,
2 তুমি হারোণকে কহ, তাহাকে বল, তুমি প্রদীপগুলি জ্বালিলে সেই সাতটী প্রদীপ যেন দীপবৃক্ষের সম্মুখদিকে আলো দেয়।
3 তাহাতে হারোণ সেইরূপ করিলেন, দীপবৃক্ষের সম্মুখদিকে আলো দিবার জন্য সেই সকল প্রদীপ জ্বালিলেন, যেমন সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে আজ্ঞা করিয়াছিলেন।
4 ঐ দীপবৃক্ষের গঠন এই, উহা পিটান স্বর্ণে নির্ম্মিত; কাণ্ড অবধি পুষ্প পর্য্যন্ত তাহা পিটান কর্ম্ম ছিল। সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে যে আকার দেখাইয়াছিলেন, তদনুসারে তিনি দীপবৃক্ষটী নির্ম্মাণ করিয়াছিলেন।
5 আর সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে কহিলেন,
6 তুমি ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানগণের মধ্য হইতে লেবীয়দিগকে লইয়া শুচি কর।
7 তাহাদিগকে শুচি করণার্থে এইরূপ কর, তাহাদের উপরে পাপমোচনের জল ছিটাইয়া দেও, এবং তাহারা আপনাদের সমস্ত গাত্রে ক্ষুর বুলাইয়া বস্ত্র ধৌত করিয়া আপনাদিগকে শুচি করুক।
8 পরে তাহারা এক গোবৎস ও তৎসম্বন্ধীয় তৈলমিশ্রিত সূক্ষ্ম সূজির ভক্ষ্য-নৈবেদ্য আনয়ন করুক, এবং তুমি পাপার্থক বলিদান জন্য আর এক গোবৎস গ্রহণ কর।
9 আর লেবীয়দিগকে সমাগম-তাম্বুর সম্মুখে আন, ও ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানগণের সমস্ত মণ্ডলীকে একত্র কর।
10 আর তুমি লেবীয়দিগকে সদাপ্রভুর সম্মুখে আনিলে ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানগণ তাহাদের গাত্রে হস্তার্পণ করুক।
11 পরে হারোণ ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানগণের দোলনীয় নৈবেদ্য বলিয়া লেবীয়দিগকে সদাপ্রভুর সম্মুখে নিবেদন করিবে; তাহাতে তাহারা সদাপ্রভুর সেবাকর্ম্মে নিযুক্ত হইবে।
12 পরে লেবীয়েরা ঐ দুই গোবৎসের মস্তকে হস্তার্পণ করিবে, আর তুমি লেবীয়দের নিমিত্তে প্রায়শ্চিত্ত করণার্থে সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে একটী গোবৎস পাপার্থক বলিরূপে, এবং অন্যটী হোমার্থক বলিরূপে উৎসর্গ করিবে।
13 আর হারোণের ও তাহার পুত্রগণের সম্মুখে লেবীয়দিগকে সংস্থাপন করিয়া সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে দোলনীয় নৈবেদ্য বলিয়া তাহাদিগকে নিবেদন করিবে।
14 এইরূপে তুমি ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানগণ হইতে লেবীয়দিগকে পৃথক্‌ করিও; তাহাতে লেবীয়েরা আমারই হইবে।
15 তাহার পরে লেবীয়েরা সমাগম-তাম্বুর সেবাকর্ম্ম করিতে প্রবেশ করিবে। এইরূপে তুমি তাহাদিগকে শুচি করিয়া দোলনীয় নৈবেদ্য বলিয়া নিবেদন করিবে;
16 কেননা তাহারা দত্ত হইয়াছে, ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানগণের মধ্য হইতে তাহারা আমার উদ্দেশে দত্ত হইয়াছে; আমি যাবতীয় গর্ভ উন্মোচকের, সমস্ত ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানের প্রথমজাতদের পরিবর্ত্তে তাহাদিগকে আপনার জন্য গ্রহণ করিয়াছি।
17 কেননা মনুষ্য হউক কিম্বা পশু হউক, ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানগণের সমস্ত প্রথমজাত আমার; যে দিবসে আমি মিসর দেশের সমস্ত প্রথমজাতকে আঘাত করিয়াছিলাম, সেই দিবসে আপনার নিমিত্তে তাহাদিগকে পবিত্র করিয়াছিলাম।
18 আর আমি ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানগণের সমস্ত প্রথমজাতের পরিবর্ত্তে লেবীয়দিগকে গ্রহণ করিয়াছি।
19 আর সমাগম-তাম্বুতে ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানগণের করণীয় সেবাকর্ম্ম করিতে ও ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানগণের নিমিত্তে প্রায়শ্চিত্ত করিতে লেবীয়দিগকে ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানগণের মধ্য হইতে হারোণ ও তাহার পুত্রগণকে দানরূপে দিয়াছি; যেন ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানগণ পবিত্র স্থানের নিকটবর্ত্তী হওয়া প্রযুক্ত মারী ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানগণের মধ্যে না হয়।
20 পরে মোশি, হারোণ ও ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানগণের সমস্ত মণ্ডলী লেবীয়দের প্রতি তদ্রূপ করিল; সদাপ্রভু লেবীয়দের বিষয়ে মোশিকে যে সমস্ত আদেশ করিয়াছিলেন, তদনুসারে ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানগণ তাহাদের প্রতি করিল।
21 ফলতঃ লেবীয়েরা আপনাদিগকে মুক্তপাপ করিল, ও আপন আপন বস্ত্র ধৌত করিল, এবং হারোণ তাহাদিগকে সদাপ্রভুর সাক্ষাতে দোলনীয় নৈবেদ্যরূপে নিবেদন করিলেন, আর হারোণ তাহাদিগকে শুচি করণার্থে তাহাদের জন্য প্রায়শ্চিত্ত করিলেন।
22 তাহার পর লেবীয়েরা হারোণের সম্মুখে ও তাঁহার পুত্রগণের সম্মুখে আপন আপন সেবাকর্ম্ম করণার্থে সমাগম-তাম্বুতে প্রবেশ করিতে লাগিল। লেবীয়দের বিষয়ে সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে যেরূপ আজ্ঞা দিয়াছিলেন, তদনুসারে তাহাদের প্রতি করা হইল।
23 পরে সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে কহিলেন, লেবীয়দের বিষয়ে এই ব্যবস্থা।
24 পঁচিশ বৎসর ও ততোধিক বয়স্ক লেবীয়েরা সমাগম-তাম্বুতে সেবাকর্ম্ম করিবার জন্য শ্রেণীভুক্ত হইবে;
25 আর পঞ্চাশ বৎসর বয়স্ক হইলে পর সেই সেবাকর্ম্মকারীদের শ্রেণী হইতে ফিরিয়া আসিবে, আর সেবাকর্ম্ম করিবে না।
26 রক্ষণীয় রক্ষা করণার্থে তাহারা সমাগম-তাম্বুতে আপন আপন ভ্রাতাদের সঙ্গে পরিচর্য্যা করিবে, সেবাকর্ম্ম আর করিবে না। লেবীয়দের রক্ষণীয় বিষয়ে তাহাদের প্রতি তুমি এইরূপ করিবে।

2 Speak H1696 unto H413 Aaron, H175 and say H559 unto H413 him , When thou lightest the lamps, H5216 the seven H7651 lamps H5216 shall give light H215 over against H413 H4136 H6440 the candlestick. H4501
3 And Aaron H175 did H6213 so; H3651 he lighted H5927 the lamps H5216 thereof over against H413 H4136 H6440 the candlestick, H4501 as H834 the LORD H3068 commanded Moses. H4872
4 And this H2088 work H4639 of the candlestick H4501 was of beaten H4749 gold, H2091 unto H5704 the shaft H3409 thereof, unto H5704 the flowers H6525 thereof, was beaten work: H4749 according unto the pattern H4758 which H834 the LORD H3068 had showed H7200 H853 Moses, H4872 so H3651 he made H6213 H853 the candlestick. 5 And the LORD H3068 spoke H1696 unto H413 Moses, H4872 saying, H559
6 Take H3947 H853 the Levites H3881 from among H4480 H8432 the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 and cleanse H2891 them.
7 And thus H3541 shalt thou do H6213 unto them , to cleanse H2891 them: Sprinkle H5137 water H4325 of purifying H2403 upon H5921 them , and let them shave H5674 H8593 H5921 all H3605 their flesh, H1320 and let them wash H3526 their clothes, H899 and so make themselves clean. H2891
8 Then let them take H3947 a young H1121 H1241 bullock H6499 with his meat offering, H4503 even fine flour H5560 mingled H1101 with oil, H8081 and another H8145 young H1121 H1241 bullock H6499 shalt thou take H3947 for a sin offering. H2403
9 And thou shalt bring H7126 H853 the Levites H3881 before H6440 the tabernacle H168 of the congregation: H4150 and thou shalt gather H6950 H853 the whole H3605 assembly H5712 of the children H1121 of Israel H3478 together:
10 And thou shalt bring H7126 H853 the Levites H3881 before H6440 the LORD: H3068 and the children H1121 of Israel H3478 shall put H5564 H853 their hands H3027 upon H5921 the Levites: H3881
11 And Aaron H175 shall offer H5130 H853 the Levites H3881 before H6440 the LORD H3068 for an offering H8573 of H4480 H854 the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 that they may execute H1961 H5647 H853 the service H5656 of the LORD. H3068
12 And the Levites H3881 shall lay H5564 H853 their hands H3027 upon H5921 the heads H7218 of the bullocks: H6499 and thou shalt offer H6213 H853 the one H259 for a sin offering, H2403 and the other H259 for a burnt offering, H5930 unto the LORD, H3068 to make an atonement H3722 for H5921 the Levites. H3881
13 And thou shalt set H5975 H853 the Levites H3881 before H6440 Aaron, H175 and before H6440 his sons, H1121 and offer H5130 them for an offering H8573 unto the LORD. H3068
14 Thus shalt thou separate H914 H853 the Levites H3881 from among H4480 H8432 the children H1121 of Israel: H3478 and the Levites H3881 shall be H1961 mine.
15 And after H310 that H3651 shall the Levites H3881 go in H935 to do the service H5647 H853 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation: H4150 and thou shalt cleanse H2891 them , and offer H5130 them for an offering. H8573
16 For H3588 they H1992 are wholly given H5414 H5414 unto me from among H4480 H8432 the children H1121 of Israel; H3478 instead of H8478 such as open H6363 every H3605 womb, H7358 even instead of the firstborn H1060 of all H3605 the children H4480 H1121 of Israel, H3478 have I taken H3947 them unto me.
17 For H3588 all H3605 the firstborn H1060 of the children H1121 of Israel H3478 are mine, both man H120 and beast: H929 on the day H3117 that I smote H5221 every H3605 firstborn H1060 in the land H776 of Egypt H4714 I sanctified H6942 them for myself.
18 And I have taken H3947 H853 the Levites H3881 for H8478 all H3605 the firstborn H1060 of the children H1121 of Israel. H3478
19 And I have given H5414 H853 the Levites H3881 as a gift H5414 to Aaron H175 and to his sons H1121 from among H4480 H8432 the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 to do H5647 H853 the service H5656 of the children H1121 of Israel H3478 in the tabernacle H168 of the congregation, H4150 and to make an atonement H3722 for H5921 the children H1121 of Israel: H3478 that there be H1961 no H3808 plague H5063 among the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 when the children H1121 of Israel H3478 come nigh H5066 unto H413 the sanctuary. H6944
20 And Moses, H4872 and Aaron, H175 and all H3605 the congregation H5712 of the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 did H6213 to the Levites H3881 according unto all H3605 that H834 the LORD H3068 commanded H6680 H853 Moses H4872 concerning the Levites, H3881 so H3651 did H6213 the children H1121 of Israel H3478 unto them.
21 And the Levites H3881 were purified, H2398 and they washed H3526 their clothes; H899 and Aaron H175 offered H5130 them as an offering H8573 before H6440 the LORD; H3068 and Aaron H175 made an atonement H3722 for H5921 them to cleanse H2891 them.
22 And after H310 that H3651 went the Levites in H935 H3881 to do H5647 H853 their service H5656 in the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 before H6440 Aaron, H175 and before H6440 his sons: H1121 as H834 the LORD H3068 had commanded H6680 H853 Moses H4872 concerning H5921 the Levites, H3881 so H3651 did H6213 they unto them.
23 And the LORD H3068 spoke H1696 unto H413 Moses, H4872 saying, H559
24 This H2063 is it that H834 belongeth unto the Levites: H3881 from twenty H6242 and five H2568 years H8141 old H4480 H1121 and upward H4605 they shall go in H935 to wait upon H6633 H6635 the service H5656 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation: H4150
25 And from the age H4480 H1121 of fifty H2572 years H8141 they shall cease waiting upon H7725 H4480 H6635 the service H5656 thereof , and shall serve H5647 no H3808 more: H5750
26 But shall minister H8334 with H854 their brethren H251 in the tabernacle H168 of the congregation, H4150 to keep H8104 the charge, H4931 and shall do H5647 no H3808 service. H5656 Thus H3602 shalt thou do H6213 unto the Levites H3881 touching their charge. H4931
