1 আমি সঙ্কটে সদাপ্রভুকে ডাকিলাম, তিনি আমাকে উত্তর দিলেন।
2 সদাপ্রভু, আমার প্রাণ মিথ্যাবাদী ওষ্ঠাধর হইতে, প্রতারক জিহ্বা হইতে রক্ষা কর।
3 হে প্রতারক জিহ্বা, তিনি তোমাকে কি দিবেন? তোমাকে অধিক কি যোগাইবেন?
4 বীরের তীক্ষ্ণ বাণসমূহ, ও রোতমকাষ্ঠের অঙ্গারসমূহ।
5 হায় হায়, আমি মেশকে প্রবাস করিতেছি, কেদরের তাম্বুসমূহের কাছে বাস করিতেছি।
6 বহুকাল আমার প্রাণ এমন ব্যক্তির সহিত বাস করিয়াছে, যে সন্ধি ঘৃণা করে।
7 আমি সন্ধিপ্রিয়, কিন্তু যখন কথা বলি উহারা যুদ্ধ চায়।
