1 আকাশমণ্ডল ঈশ্বরের গৌরব বর্ণনা করে, বিতান তাঁহার হস্তকৃত কর্ম্ম জ্ঞাপন করে।
2 দিবস দিবসের কাছে বাক্য উচ্চারণ করে, রাত্রি রাত্রির কাছে জ্ঞান প্রচার করে।
3 বাক্য নাই, ভাষাও নাই, তাহাদের রব শুনা যায় না।
4 তাহাদের মানরজ্জু সমস্ত পৃথিবীতে ব্যাপ্ত, তাহাদের বাক্য জগতের সীমা পর্য্যন্ত ব্যাপ্ত; তাহাদের মধ্যে তিনি সূর্য্যের নিমিত্ত এক তাম্বু স্থাপন করিয়াছেন।
5 সে বরের ন্যায় আপন বাসরগৃহ হইতে নির্গত হয়, বীরের ন্যায় স্বীয় পথে দৌড়িবার জন্য আমোদ করে।
6 সে আকাশমণ্ডলের প্রান্ত হইতে যাত্রা করে, অপর প্রান্ত পর্য্যন্ত ঘুরিয়া আইসে; তাহার উত্তাপে কোন বস্তু লুক্কায়িত থাকে না।
7 সদাপ্রভুর ব্যবস্থা সিদ্ধ, প্রাণের স্বাস্থ্যজনক; সদাপ্রভুর সাক্ষ্য বিশ্বসনীয়, অল্পবুদ্ধির জ্ঞানদায়ক।
8 সদাপ্রভুর বিধি সকল যথার্থ, চিত্তের আনন্দবর্দ্ধক; সদাপ্রভুর আজ্ঞা নির্ম্মল, চক্ষুর দীপ্তিজনক।
9 সদাপ্রভুর ভয় শুচি, চিরস্থায়ী, সদাপ্রভুর শাসন সকল সত্য, সর্ব্বাংশে ন্যায্য।
10 তাহা স্বর্ণ ও প্রচুর কাঞ্চন অপেক্ষা বাঞ্ছনীয়, মধু ও মৌচাকের রস হইতেও সুস্বাদু।
11 তোমার দাসও তদ্দ্বারা সুশিক্ষা পায়; তাহা পালন করিলে মহাফল হয়।
12 ভ্রান্তির কার্য্য সকল কে বুঝিতে পারে? তুমি গুপ্ত দোষ হইতে আমাকে পরিষ্কার কর।
13 দুঃসাহসজনিত পাপ হইতেও নিজ দাসকে পৃথক্‌ রাখ, সেই সকল আমার উপরে কর্ত্তৃত্ব না করুক; তখন আমি সিদ্ধ এবং মহাপাতক হইতে শুচি হইব।
14 আমার মুখের বাক্য ও আমার চিত্তের ধ্যান তোমার দৃষ্টিতে গ্রাহ্য হউক, হে সদাপ্রভু, আমার শৈল, আমার মুক্তিদাতা।
