1 অতএব, হে মনুষ্য, তুমি যে বিচার করিতেছ, তুমি যে কেহ হও, তোমার উত্তর দিবার পথ নাই; কারণ যে বিষয়ে তুমি পরের বিচার করিয়া থাক, সেই বিষয়ে আপনাকেই দোষী করিয়া থাক; কেননা তুমি যে বিচার করিতেছ; তুমি সেই মত আচরণ করিয়া থাক।
2 আর আমরা জানি, যাহারা এইরূপ আচরণ করে, তাহাদের বিরুদ্ধে ঈশ্বরের বিচার সত্যের অনুযায়ী।
3 আর হে মনুষ্য, যাহারা এইরূপ আচরণ করে, তুমি যখন তাহাদের বিচার করিয়া থাক, আবার আপনিও তদ্রূপ করিয়া থাক, তখন তুমি কি এই মীমাংসা করিতেছ যে, তুমি ঈশ্বরের বিচার এড়াইবে?
4 অথবা তাঁহার মধুর ভাব ও ধৈর্য্য ও চিরসহিষ্ণুতারূপ ধন কি হেয়জ্ঞান করিতেছ? ঈশ্বরের মধুর ভাব যে তোমাকে মনপরিবর্ত্তনের দিকে লইয়া যায়, ইহা কি জান না?
5 কিন্তু তোমার কঠিন ভাব এবং অপরিবর্ত্তনশীল চিত্ত অনুসারে তুমি আপনার জন্য এমন ক্রোধ সঞ্চয় করিতেছ, যাহা ক্রোধের ও ঈশ্বরের ন্যায়বিচার-প্রকাশের দিনে আসিবে;
6 তিনি ত প্রত্যেক মনুষ্যকে তাহার কার্য্যানুযায়ী ফল দিবেন,
7 সৎক্রিয়ায় ধৈর্য্য সহযোগে যাহারা প্রতাপ, সমাদর ও অক্ষয়তার অন্বেষণ করে, তাহাদিগকে অনন্ত জীবন দিবেন;
8 কিন্তু যাহারা প্রতিযোগী, এবং সত্যের অবাধ্য ও অধার্ম্মিকতার বাধ্য, তাহাদের প্রতি ক্রোধ ও রোষ, ক্লেশ ও সঙ্কট বর্ত্তিবে;
9 প্রথমে যিহূদীর, পরে গ্রীকেরও উপরে, কদাচারী মনুষ্যমাত্রের প্রাণের উপরে বর্ত্তিবে।
10 কিন্তু সদাচারী প্রত্যেক মনুষ্যের প্রতি, প্রথমে যিহূদীর, পরে গ্রীকেরও প্রতি প্রতাপ, সমাদর ও শান্তি বর্ত্তিবে।
11 কেননা ঈশ্বরের কাছে মুখাপেক্ষা নাই।
12 কারণ ব্যবস্থাবিহীন অবস্থায় যত লোক পাপ করিয়াছে, ব্যবস্থাবিহীন অবস্থায় তাহাদের বিনাশও ঘটিবে; আর ব্যবস্থার অধীনে থাকিয়া যত লোক পাপ করিয়াছে, ব্যবস্থা দ্বারাই তাহাদের বিচার করা যাইবে।
13 কারণ যাহারা ব্যবস্থা শুনে, তাহারা যে ঈশ্বরের কাছে ধার্ম্মিক, এমন নয়, কিন্তু যাহারা ব্যবস্থা পালন করে, তাহারাই ধার্ম্মিক গণিত হইবে—
14 কেননা যে পরজাতিরা কোন ব্যবস্থা পায় নাই, তাহারা যখন স্বভাবতঃ ব্যবস্থানুযায়ী আচরণ করে, তখন কোন ব্যবস্থা না পাইলেও আপনাদের ব্যবস্থা আপনারাই হয়;
15 যেহেতুক তাহারা ব্যবস্থার কার্য্য আপন আপন হৃদয়ে লিখিত বলিয়া দেখায়, তাহাদের সংবেদও সঙ্গে সঙ্গে সাক্ষ্য দেয়, এবং তাহাদের নানা বিতর্ক পরস্পর হয় তাহাদিগকে দোষী করে, না হয় তাহাদের পক্ষ সমর্থন করে—
16 যে দিন ঈশ্বর আমার সুসমাচার অনুসারে যীশু খ্রীষ্ট দ্বারা মনুষ্যদের গুপ্ত বিষয় সকলের বিচার করিবেন।
17 তুমি হয় ত যিহূদী নামে আখ্যাত, ব্যবস্থার উপরে নির্ভর করিতেছ, ঈশ্বরের শ্লাঘা করিতেছ, ব্যবস্থা হইতে শিক্ষাপ্রাপ্ত হওয়াতে তাঁহার ইচ্ছা জ্ঞাত আছ,
18 এবং যাহা যাহা ভিন্ন, সেই সকলের পরীক্ষা করিয়া থাক,
19 নিশ্চয় বুঝিয়াছ যে, তুমিই অন্ধদের পথ-দর্শক, অন্ধকারবাসীদের দীপ্তি,
20 অবোধদের গুরু, শিশুদের শিক্ষক, ব্যবস্থায় জ্ঞানের ও সত্যের অবয়ব পাইয়াছ।
21 ভাল, তুমি যে পরকে শিক্ষা দিতেছ, তুমি কি আপনাকে শিক্ষা দেও না? তুমি যে চুরি করিতে নাই বলিয়া প্রচার করিতেছ, তুমি কি চুরি করিতেছ?
22 তুমি যে ব্যভিচার করিতে নাই বলিতেছ, তুমি কি ব্যভিচার করিতেছ? তুমি যে প্রতিমা ঘৃণা করিতেছ, তুমি কি দেবালয় লুট করিতেছ?
23 তুমি যে ব্যবস্থার শ্লাঘা করিতেছ, তুমি কি ব্যবস্থালঙ্ঘন দ্বারা ঈশ্বরের অনাদর করিতেছ?
24 কেননা যেমন লিখিত আছে, সেইরূপ ‘তোমাদের হইতে জাতিগণের মধ্যে ঈশ্বরের নাম নিন্দিত হইতেছে’।
25 বাস্তবিক ত্বক্‌ছেদে লাভ আছে বটে, যদি তুমি ব্যবস্থা পালন কর, কিন্তু যদি ব্যবস্থা লঙ্ঘন কর, তবে তোমার ত্বক্‌ছেদ অত্বক্‌ছেদ হইয়া পড়িল।
26 অতএব অচ্ছিন্নত্বক্‌ লোক যদি ব্যবস্থার বিধি সকল পালন করে, তবে তাহার অত্বক্‌ছেদ কি ত্বক্‌ছেদ বলিয়া গণিত হইবে না?
27 আর স্বাভাবিক অচ্ছিন্নত্বক্‌ লোক যদি ব্যবস্থা পালন করে, তবে অক্ষর ও ত্বক্‌ছেদ সত্ত্বেও ব্যবস্থা লঙ্ঘন করিতেছ যে তুমি, সে কি তোমার বিচার করিবে না?
28 কেননা বাহিরে যে যিহূদী সে যিহূদী নয়, এবং বাহিরে মাংসে কৃত যে ত্বক্‌ছেদ তাহা ত্বক্‌ছেদ নয়।
29 কিন্তু আন্তরিক যে যিহূদী সেই যিহূদী, এবং হৃদয়ের যে ত্বক্‌ছেদ, যাহা অক্ষরে নয়, আত্মায়, তাহাই ত্বক্‌ছেন, তাহার প্রশংসা মনুষ্য হইতে হয় না, কিন্তু ঈশ্বর হইতে হয়।

4 Or G2228 despisest G2706 thou the G3588 riches G4149 of his G848 goodness G5544 and G2532 forbearance G463 and G2532 longsuffering; G3115 not knowing G50 that G3754 the G3588 goodness G5543 of God G2316 leadeth G71 thee G4571 to G1519 repentance G3341 ?
5 But G1161 after G2596 thy G4675 hardness G4643 and G2532 impenitent G279 heart G2588 treasurest up G2343 unto thyself G4572 wrath G3709 against G1722 the day G2250 of wrath G3709 and G2532 revelation G602 of the righteous judgment G1341 of God; G2316
6 Who G3739 will render G591 to every man G1538 according G2596 to his G846 deeds: G2041
7 To them who G3303 by G2596 patient continuance G5281 in well G18 doing G2041 seek for G2212 glory G1391 and G2532 honor G5092 and G2532 immortality, G861 eternal G166 life: G2222
8 But G1161 unto them that are contentious G1537 G2052 , and G2532 do not obey G544 G3303 the G3588 truth, G225 but G1161 obey G3982 unrighteousness, G93 indignation G2372 and G2532 wrath, G3709

24 For G1063 the G3588 name G3686 of God G2316 is blasphemed G987 among G1722 the G3588 Gentiles G1484 through G1223 you, G5209 as G2531 it is written. G1125
25 For G1063 circumcision G4061 verily G3303 profiteth, G5623 if G1437 thou keep G4238 the law: G3551 but G1161 if G1437 thou be a breaker G3848 of the law, G3551 thy G4675 circumcision G4061 is made G1096 uncircumcision. G203
26 Therefore G3767 if G1437 the G3588 uncircumcision G203 keep G5442 the G3588 righteousness G1345 of the G3588 law, G3551 shall not G3780 his G848 uncircumcision G203 be counted G3049 for G1519 circumcision G4061 ?
27 And G2532 shall not uncircumcision G203 which is by G1537 nature, G5449 if it fulfill G5055 the G3588 law, G3551 judge G2919 thee, G4571 who by G1223 the letter G1121 and G2532 circumcision G4061 dost transgress G3848 the law G3551 ?
28 For G1063 he is G2076 not G3756 a Jew, G2453 which is one outwardly G1722 G5318 ; neither G3761 is that circumcision, G4061 which is outward G1722 G5318 in G1722 the flesh: G4561
29 But G235 he is a Jew, G2453 which is one inwardly G1722 G2927 ; and G2532 circumcision G4061 is that of the heart, G2588 in G1722 the spirit, G4151 and not G3756 in the letter; G1121 whose G3739 praise G1868 is not G3756 of G1537 men, G444 but G235 of G1537 God. G2316
