1 “তোমরা অবশ্যই সমস্ত আজ্ঞাগুলো মেনে চলবে য়েগুলো আজ আমি তোমাদের দিলাম| কারণ তাহলে তোমরা বেঁচে থাকবে, বৃদ্ধি পাবে এবং প্রভু তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের কাছে য়ে দেশ দেবেন বলে শপথ করেছিলেন সেই দেশে প্রবেশ করবে|
2 প্রভু তোমাদের ঈশ্বর, 40 বছর ধরে মরুভূমিতে য়ে ভ্রমণের নেতৃত্ব দিয়েছেন, সেটার কথা তোমরা অবশ্যই মনে রাখবে| প্রভু তোমাদের পরীক্ষা করছিলেন| তিনি তোমাদের বিনযী করতে চেয়েছিলেন| তিনি তোমাদের মনের ভেতরের জিনিস জানতে চেয়েছিলেন| তিনি জানতে চেয়েছিলেন য়ে তোমরা তাঁর আদেশ মানবে কিনা|
3 প্রভু তোমাদের নম্র করেছিলেন এবং তোমাদের ক্ষুধার্ত করেছিলেন| তিনি তোমাদের মান্না খাইযেছিলেন - যা তোমরা আগে কখনও জানতে না, যা তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষরা আগে কখনও দেখে নি| এই কাজগুলো প্রভু করেছিলেন যাতে তোমরা জানো য়ে কেবলমাত্র রুটিই মানুষকে বাঁচিয়ে রাখে না| মানুষের জীবন প্রভুর কথিত সমস্ত বাক্যের ওপর নির্ভর করে|
4 এই গত 40 বছরে তোমাদের জামাকাপড় পুরানো হয় নি এবং তোমাদের পাও ফোলে নি, কারণ প্রভু তোমাদের রক্ষা করেছিলেন|
5 তোমরা অবশ্যই মনে রাখবে য়ে প্রভু তোমাদের ঈশ্বর, তোমাদের শিক্ষা দিচ্ছিলেন ও সংশোধন করছিলেন য়েমন একজন পিতা তার পুত্রকে শিক্ষা দেয় এবং সংশোধন করে|
6 “তোমরা অবশ্যই প্রভু তোমাদের ঈশ্বরের আজ্ঞাগুলো মেনে চলে তাঁকে অনুসরণ এবং শ্রদ্ধা করবে|
7 প্রভু তোমাদের ঈশ্বর তোমাদের এক উত্তম দেশে নিয়ে য়েতে চলেছেন - য়ে দেশে অনেক নদী এবং জলপ্রবাহ আছে| সেখানে উপত্যকা এবং পাহাড়গুলোতে ভূমির ভেতর থেকে জল বেরিয়ে এসে প্রবাহিত হয়|
8 সেই দেশে গম এবং বার্লি, দ্রাক্ষালতা, ডুমুর গাছ এবং ডালিম আছে| সেই দেশে জলপাই তেল এবং মধু আছে|
9 সেখানে তোমাদের খাদ্যের অভাব হবে না এবং তোমাদের প্রযোজনীয সমস্ত কিছুই তোমরা পাবে| সেই দেশের পাথরগুলো লোহা| সেখানকার পাহাড় খুঁড়লে তোমরা তামা পাবে|
10 তোমরা যা খেতে চাও তা পেয়ে তৃপ্ত হবে এবং সেই সুন্দর দেশটি তোমাদের দেবার জন্য তোমরা তোমাদের প্রভু ঈশ্বরের প্রশংসা করবে|
11 “সতর্ক হও| তোমাদের প্রভু ঈশ্বরকে ভুলো না| আমি আজ তোমাদের য়ে আজ্ঞা, বিধি এবং নিয়মসমুহ দিলাম সেগুলো মেনে চলার ব্যাপারে সতর্ক হও|
12 তাহলে তোমাদের খাওয়ার জন্য পর্য়াপ্ত পরিমাণ খাবার থাকবে এবং তোমরা সুন্দর বাড়ী বানাবে এবং তাতে বাস করবে|
13 তোমাদের গরু, মেষ এবং ছাগলগুলো সংখ্যায় বাড়বে| তোমরা প্রচুর সোনা এবং রূপো পাবে| সমস্ত কিছুই তোমরা প্রচুর পরিমাণে পাবে|
14 যখন সেগুলো হয়, সেসময় যাতে তোমরা অহঙ্কারী না হও সে ব্যাপারে তোমরা অবশ্যই সতর্ক থাকবে| তোমরা অবশ্যই প্রভু তোমাদের ঈশ্বরকে ভুলবে না| তোমরা মিশরে ক্রীতদাস ছিলে; কিন্তু প্রভু তোমাদের মুক্ত করে সেই দেশ থেকে নিয়ে এসেছিলেন|
15 সেই বিশাল এবং সাংঘাতিক মরুভূমির মধ্য দিয়ে প্রভু তোমাদের নেতৃত্ব দিয়েছিলেন| সেই মরুভূমিতে বহু বিষাক্ত সাপ এবং কাঁকড়াবিছে ছিল| জমি ছিল শুকনো এবং সেখানে কোথাও জল ছিল না| কিন্তু ঈশ্বর পাথরের ভেতর থেকে তোমাদের জল দিয়েছিলেন|
16 মরুভূমিতে প্রভু তোমাদের মান্না খাইযেছিলেন - য়েটা তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষরা কোনোদিন দেখে নি| প্রভু তোমাদের পরীক্ষা করেছিলেন, বিনযী করেছিলেন যাতে শেষে সমস্ত কিছু তোমাদের ভালো হয়|
17 তোমরা মনে মনেও বোলো না, ‘আমি আমার নিজের শক্তি এবং সামর্য়্থের দ্বারা এই সমস্ত সম্পদ পেয়েছিলাম|’
18 প্রভু, তোমাদের ঈশ্বরকে, স্মরণ করো কারণ তিনিই তোমাদের ঐ সম্পদ লাভ করার জন্য শক্তি দিয়েছিলেন, য়েন তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের সঙ্গে তিনি য়ে চুক্তি করেছিলেন সেটিকে রক্ষা করতে পারেন, ঠিক য়েমন তিনি আজও করছেন|
19 “প্রভু তোমাদের ঈশ্বরকে কখনও ভুলো না| কখনও অন্য দেবতাদের অনুসরণ কোরো না! তাদের পূজা এবং সেবা কোরো না| যদি তোমরা সেটা করো, তাহলে আমি আজ তোমাদের সাবধান করলাম: তোমরা নিশ্চিত ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্ত হবে|
20 প্রভু তোমাদের জন্য অন্যান্য জাতিগুলোকে ধ্বংস করছেন; কিন্তু তাঁর কথা না শুনলে তোমরাও ঠিক তাদের মতোই ধ্বংস হবে!

2 And thou shalt remember H2142 all H3605 NMS the way H1870 D-NMS which H834 RPRO the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS led H1980 thee these H2088 DPRO forty H705 MMP years H8141 NFS in the wilderness H4057 , to H4616 L-CONJ humble H6031 thee , and to prove H5254 thee , to know H3045 L-VQFC what H834 RPRO was in thine heart H3824 , whether thou wouldest keep H8104 his commandments H4687 , or H518 PART not H3808 ADV .
3 And he humbled H6031 thee , and suffered thee to hunger H7456 , and fed H398 thee with H854 manna H4478 , which H834 RPRO thou knewest H3045 VQQ2MS not H3808 NADV , neither H3808 W-NADV did thy fathers H1 know H3045 VQQ2MS ; that H4616 L-CONJ he might make thee know H3045 VQQ2MS that H3588 CONJ man H120 D-NMS doth not H3808 NADV live H2421 by H5921 PREP bread H3899 only H905 L-CMS-3MS , but H3588 CONJ by H5921 PREP every H3605 NMS word that proceedeth out H4161 NMS of the mouth H6310 CMS-1MS of the LORD H3068 EDS doth man H120 D-NMS live H2421 .
4 Thy raiment H8071 waxed not old H1086 upon H5921 thee , neither H3808 NADV did thy foot H7272 swell H1216 , these H2088 DPRO forty H705 MMP years H8141 NFS .
5 Thou shalt also consider H3045 W-VQY2MS in H5973 PREP thine heart H3824 , that H3588 CONJ , as H834 K-RPRO a man H376 NMS chasteneth H3256 his son H1121 CMS-3MS , so the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS chasteneth H3256 thee .
6 Therefore thou shalt keep H8104 the commandments H4687 of the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS , to walk H1980 L-VQFC in his ways H1870 , and to fear H3372 him .
7 For H3588 CONJ the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS bringeth H935 thee into H413 PREP a good H2896 NFS land H776 GFS , a land H776 GFS of brooks H5158 CMP of water H4325 NMD , of fountains H5869 and depths H8415 that spring out H3318 of valleys H1237 and hills H2022 ;
8 A land H776 GFS of wheat H2406 NFS , and barley H8184 , and vines H1612 , and fig trees H8384 , and pomegranates H7416 ; a land H776 of oil H8081 NMS olive H2132 , and honey H1706 ;
9 A land H776 GFS wherein H834 RPRO thou shalt eat H398 bread H3899 NMS without H3808 NADV scarceness H4544 , thou shalt not H3808 ADV lack H2637 any H3605 NMS thing in it ; a land H776 GFS whose H834 RPRO stones H68 CFP-3FS are iron H1270 , and out of whose hills H2042 thou mayest dig H2672 brass H5178 .
10 When thou hast eaten H398 W-VQQ2MS and art full H7646 , then thou shalt bless H1288 the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS for H5921 PREP the good H2896 land H776 D-GFS which H834 RPRO he hath given H5414 thee .
11 Beware H8104 VNI2MS that thou forget not H6435 CONJ the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS , in not H1115 L-NPAR keeping H8104 VQI2MS his commandments H4687 , and his judgments H4941 , and his statutes H2708 , which H834 RPRO I H595 PPRO-1MS command H6680 thee this day H3117 D-NMS :
12 Lest H6435 CONJ when thou hast eaten H398 VQY2MS and art full H7646 , and hast built H1129 goodly H2896 houses H1004 , and dwelt H3427 therein ;
13 And when thy herds H1241 and thy flocks H6629 multiply H7235 , and thy silver H3701 W-CMS and thy gold H2091 is multiplied H7235 VQQ3MS , and all H3605 W-CMS that H834 RPRO thou hast is multiplied H7235 ;
14 Then thine heart H3824 be lifted up H7311 , and thou forget H7911 the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS , which brought thee forth H3318 out of the land H776 M-NFS of Egypt H4714 EFS , from the house H1004 of bondage H5650 ;
15 Who led H1980 thee through that great H1419 D-AMS and terrible H3372 wilderness H4057 , wherein were fiery H8314 serpents H5175 NMS , and scorpions H6137 , and drought H6774 , where H834 RPRO there was no H369 ADV water H4325 NMD ; who brought thee forth H3318 water H4325 NMD out of the rock H6697 of flint H2496 ;
16 Who fed H398 thee in the wilderness H4057 with manna H4478 , which H834 RPRO thy fathers H1 knew H3045 not H3808 NADV , that H4616 L-CONJ he might humble H6031 thee , and that H4616 he might prove H5254 thee , to do thee good H3190 at thy latter end H319 ;
17 And thou say H559 in thine heart H3824 , My power H3581 CMS-1MS and the might H6108 of mine hand H3027 CFS-1MS hath gotten H6213 VQQ3MS me this H2088 D-PMS wealth H2428 .
18 But thou shalt remember H2142 the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS : for H3588 CONJ it is he H1931 PPRO-3MS that giveth H5414 D-VQPMS thee power H3581 CMS to get H6213 L-VQFC wealth H2428 , that H4616 L-CONJ he may establish H6965 his covenant H1285 which H834 RPRO he swore H7650 unto thy fathers H1 , as it is this H2088 D-PMS day H3117 .
19 And it shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS , if H518 PART thou do at all forget H7911 the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS , and walk H1980 after H310 PREP other H312 AMP gods H430 CMP-2MS , and serve H5647 them , and worship H7812 them , I testify H5749 against you this day H3117 D-AMS that H3588 CONJ ye shall surely perish H6 .
20 As the nations H1471 which H834 RPRO the LORD H3068 EDS destroyeth H6 before your face H6440 , so H3651 ADV shall ye perish H6 ; because H6118 ye would not H3808 NADV be obedient H8085 unto the voice H6963 B-NMS of the LORD H3068 EDS your God H430 .
