Genesis 7:1 (NIV) New International Version

1 The LORD then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.
2 Take with you seven of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and two of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate,
3 and also seven of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth.
4 Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made."
5 And Noah did all that the LORD commanded him.
6 Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came on the earth.
7 And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.
8 Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and of all creatures that move along the ground,
9 male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah.
10 And after the seven days the floodwaters came on the earth.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, on the seventeenth day of the second month--on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.
12 And rain fell on the earth for forty days and forty nights.
13 On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark.
14 They had with them every wild animal according to its kind, all livestock according to their kinds, every creature that moves along the ground according to its kind and every bird according to its kind, everything with wings.
15 Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark.
16 The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in.
17 For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth.
18 The waters rose and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water.
19 They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered.
20 The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than twenty feet.
21 Every living thing that moved on the earth perished-- birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind.
22 Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died.
23 Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; men and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds of the air were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.
24 The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days.

2 Of every H3605 M-CMS clean H2889 D-AFS beast H929 D-NFS thou shalt take H3947 VQI2MS to thee by sevens H7651 NUM-MS , the male H376 NMS and his female H802 W-CFS-3MS : and of H4480 W-PREP beasts H929 D-NFS that H834 RPRO are not H3808 NADV clean H2889 AFS by two H8147 ONUM , the male H376 NMS and his female H802 W-CFS-3MS .
3 Of fowls H5775 M-NMS also H1571 CONJ of the air H8064 D-NMD by sevens H7651 NUM-MS , the male H2145 NMS and the female H5347 W-NFS ; to keep seed H2233 NMS alive H2421 L-VPFC upon H5921 PREP the face H6440 CMP of all H3605 CMS the earth H776 D-GFS .
4 For H3588 CONJ yet H5750 ADV seven H7651 NUM-MS days H3117 L-NMP , and I H595 PPRO-1MS will cause it to rain H4305 VHPMS upon H5921 PREP the earth H776 D-GFS forty H705 MMP days H3117 NMS and forty H705 W-MMP nights H3915 NFS ; and every H3605 NMS living substance H3351 D-NMS that H834 RPRO I have made H6213 VQQ1MS will I destroy H4229 W-VQQ1MS from off H5921 PREP the face H6440 CMP of the earth H127 D-NFS .
5 And Noah H5146 EMS did H6213 W-VQY3MS according unto all H3605 K-NMS that H834 RPRO the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS commanded H6680 VPQ3MS-3MS him .
6 And Noah H5146 W-NAME-3MS was six H8337 RFS hundred H3967 BFP years H8141 NFS old H1121 when the flood H3999 WD-NMS of waters H4325 OMD was H1961 VQQ3MS upon H5921 PREP the earth H776 D-GFS .
7 And Noah H5146 EMS went in H935 W-VQY3MS , and his sons H1121 W-CMP-3MS , and his wife H802 W-CFS-3MS , and his sons H1121 CMP-3MS \' wives H802 W-GMP with H854 PREP-3MS him , into H413 PREP the ark H8392 D-NFS , because H6440 M-CMP of the waters H4325 of the flood H3999 D-NMS .
8 Of H4480 PREP clean H2889 D-AFS beasts H929 D-NFS , and of H4480 PREP beasts H929 D-NFS that H834 RPRO are not H369 NPAR-3FS clean H2889 AFS , and of H4480 PREP fowls H5775 D-NMS , and of every thing H3605 W-CMS that H834 RPRO creepeth H7430 VQPMS upon H5921 PREP the earth H127 D-NFS ,
9 There went in H935 VQQ3MP two H8147 ONUM and two H8147 ONUM unto H413 PREP Noah H5146 EMS into H413 PREP the ark H8392 D-NFS , the male H2145 NMS and the female H5347 W-NFS , as H834 K-RPRO God H430 EDP had commanded H6680 VPQ3MS Noah H5146 NAME-3MS .
10 And it came to pass H1961 W-VPY3MS after seven H7651 L-RMS days H3117 D-NMP , that the waters H4325 of the flood H3999 D-NMS were H1961 W-VPY3MS upon H5921 PREP the earth H776 D-GFS .
11 In the six H8337 RFS hundredth H3967 BFP year H8141 B-CFS of Noah H5146 EMS \'s life H2416 L-CMP , in the second H8145 D-ONUM month H2320 BD-NMS , the seventeenth H7651 B-MMS day H3117 NMS of the month H2320 LD-NMS , the same H2320 BD-NMS day H3117 BD-NMS were all H3605 CMS the fountains H4599 CFP of the great H7227 AFS deep H8415 NMS broken up H1234 VNQ3MP , and the windows H699 W-CFP of heaven H8064 D-NMD were opened H6605 VNQ3MP .

13 In the selfsame H6106 B-CFS day H3117 D-AMS entered H935 VQPMS Noah H5146 EMS , and Shem H8035 W-EMS , and Ham H2526 W-EMS , and Japheth H3315 W-EMS , the sons H1121 CMP-3MS of Noah H5146 EMS , and Noah H5146 EMS \'s wife H802 W-CFS , and the three H7969 W-RMS wives H802 CFP of his sons H1121 CMP-3MS with H854 PREP-3MP them , into H413 PREP the ark H8392 D-NFS ;
14 They H1992 PPRO-3MP , and every H3605 NMS beast H2416 D-AFS after his kind H4327 L-CMS-3FS , and all H3605 NMS the cattle H929 D-NFS after their kind H4327 L-CMS-3FS , and every H3605 NMS creeping thing H7431 D-NMS that creepeth H7430 D-NMS upon H5921 PREP the earth H776 D-GFS after his kind H4327 L-NMS-3MS , and every H3605 NMS fowl H5775 D-NMS after his kind H4327 L-NMS-3MS , every H3605 NMS bird H6833 CMS of every H3605 NMS sort H3671 GFS .
15 And they went in H935 W-VQY3MP unto H413 PREP Noah H5146 EMS into H413 PREP the ark H8392 D-NFS , two H8147 ONUM and two H8147 ONUM of all H3605 M-CMS flesh H1320 D-NMS , wherein H834 RPRO is the breath H7307 NFS of life H2416 NMP .
16 And they that went in H935 WD-VQPMP , went in H935 VQQ3MP male H2145 NMS and female H5347 W-NFS of all H3605 M-CMS flesh H1320 NMS , as H834 K-RPRO God H430 EDP had commanded H6680 VPQ3MS him : and the LORD H3068 EDS shut him in W-VQY3MS .
17 And the flood H3999 D-NMS was H1961 W-VPY3MS forty H705 MMP days H3117 NMS upon H5921 PREP the earth H776 D-GFS ; and the waters H4325 D-CMS increased H7235 W-VQY3MP , and bore up H5375 W-VQY3MP the ark H8392 D-NFS , and it was lifted up H7311 W-VQY3FS above H5921 PREP the earth H776 D-GFS .
18 And the waters H4325 D-CMS prevailed H1396 W-VQY3MP , and were increased H7235 W-VQY3MP greatly H3966 ADV upon H5921 PREP the earth H776 D-GFS ; and the ark H8392 D-NFS went H1980 W-VQQ3FS upon H5921 PREP the face H6440 CMP of the waters H4325 D-CMS .
19 And the waters H4325 WD-NMD prevailed H1396 VQQ3MP exceedingly H3966 ADV upon H5921 PREP the earth H776 D-GFS ; and all H3605 NMS the high H1364 D-AMP hills H2022 D-NMP , that H834 RPRO were under H8478 NMS the whole H3605 NMS heaven H8064 D-AMD , were covered H3680 W-VUY3MP .
20 Fifteen H6240 MFS cubits H520 UFS upward H4605 ML-ADV-3FS did the waters H4325 D-OMD prevail H1396 VQQ3MP ; and the mountains H2022 D-NMP were covered H3680 W-VUY3MP .
21 And all H3605 NMS flesh H1320 NMS died H1478 W-VQY3MS that moved H7430 D-NMS upon H5921 PREP the earth H776 D-GFS , both of fowl H5775 BD-NMS , and of cattle H929 WB-NFS , and of beast H2416 WBD-NFS , and of every H3605 NMS creeping thing H8318 D-NMS that creepeth H8317 D-VQPMS upon H5921 PREP the earth H776 D-GFS , and every H3605 NMS man H120 D-NMS :
22 All H3605 NMS in whose nostrils H639 B-NMS-3MS was the breath H5397 CFS of life H2416 NMP , of all H3605 NMS that H834 RPRO was in the dry H2724 BD-NFS land , died H4191 VQQ3MP .
23 And every H3605 NMS living substance H3351 D-NMS was destroyed H4229 W-VQY3MS which H834 RPRO was upon H5921 PREP the face H6440 CMP of the ground H127 D-NFS , both man H120 M-NMS , and H5704 PREP cattle H929 NFS , and H5704 PREP the creeping things H7431 CMS , and H5704 PREP the fowl H5775 NMS of the heaven H8064 D-NMD ; and they were destroyed H4229 W-VNY3MP from H4480 PREP the earth H776 D-GFS : and Noah H5146 EMS only H389 ADV remained H7604 W-RPRO alive , and they that H834 RPRO were with H854 PREP-3MS him in the ark H8392 BD-NFS .
24 And the waters H4325 D-CMS prevailed H1396 W-VQY3MP upon H5921 PREP the earth H776 D-GFS a hundred H3967 W-BFS and fifty H2572 MMP days H3117 NMS .
