Matthew 7:1 (NIV) New International Version

1 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
2 For in the same way as you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3 "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
4 How can you say to your brother,`Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?
5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
6 "Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.
7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 "Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?
10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?
11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
15 "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
16 By their fruit you will recognise them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
17 Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.
19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognise them.
21 "Not everyone who says to me,`Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me on that day,`Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'
23 Then I will tell them plainly,`I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
24 "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.
27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching,
29 because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.

5 Thou hypocrite G5273 N-VSM , first G4412 ADV cast out G1544 V-2AAM-2S the G3588 T-ASF beam G1385 N-ASF out G1537 PREP of thine G3588 T-GSM own G4675 P-2GS eye G3788 N-GSM ; and G2532 CONJ then G5119 ADV shalt thou see clearly G1227 V-FAI-2S to cast out G1544 V-2AAN the G3588 T-ASN mote G2595 N-ASN out of G1537 PREP thy G3588 T-GSM brother G80 N-GSM \'s eye G3788 N-GSM .

15 Beware G4337 V-PAM-2P of G3588 T-GPM false prophets G5578 N-GPM , which G3748 R-NPM come G2064 V-PNI-3P to G4314 PREP you G5209 P-2AP in G1722 PREP sheep G4263 N-GPN \'s clothing G1742 N-DPN , but G1161 CONJ inwardly G2081 ADV they are G1526 V-PXI-3P ravening G727 A-NPM wolves G3074 N-NPM .
16 Ye shall know G1921 V-FDI-2P them G846 P-GPM by G575 PREP their G3588 T-GPM fruits G2590 N-GPM . Do men G3385 PRT-I gather G4816 V-PAI-3P grapes G4718 N-ASF of G575 PREP thorns G173 N-GPF , or G2228 PRT figs G4810 N-APN of G575 PREP thistles G5146 N-GPM ?
17 Even so G3779 ADV every G3956 A-NSN good G18 A-NSN tree G1186 N-NSN bringeth forth G4160 V-PAI-3S good G2570 A-APM fruit G2590 N-APM ; but G1161 CONJ a corrupt G4550 A-NSN tree G1186 N-NSN bringeth forth G4160 V-PAI-3S evil G4190 A-APM fruit G2590 N-APM .
18 A good G18 A-NSN tree G1186 N-NSN cannot G1410 V-PNI-3S bring forth G4160 V-PAN evil G4190 A-APM fruit G2590 N-APM , neither G3761 ADV can a corrupt G4550 A-NSN tree G1186 N-NSN bring forth G4160 V-PAN good G2570 A-APM fruit G2590 N-APM .
19 Every G3956 A-NSN tree G1186 N-NSN that bringeth not forth V-PAP-NSN good G2570 A-ASM fruit G2590 N-ASM is hewn down G1581 V-PPI-3S , and G2532 CONJ cast G906 V-PPI-3S into G1519 PREP the fire G4442 N-ASN .
20 Wherefore G686 PRT by G575 PREP their G3588 T-GPM fruits G2590 N-GPM ye shall know G1921 V-FDI-2P them G846 P-APM .
21 Not G3756 PRT-N every one G3956 A-NSM that saith G3004 V-PAP-NSM unto me G3427 P-1DS , Lord G2962 N-VSM , Lord G2962 N-VSM , shall enter G1525 V-FDI-3S into G1519 PREP the G3588 T-ASF kingdom G932 N-ASF of heaven G3772 N-GPM ; but G235 CONJ he that doeth G4160 V-PAP-NSM the G3588 T-ASN will G2307 N-ASN of G3588 T-GSM my G3588 T-GSM Father G3962 N-GSM which G3588 T-GSM is in G1722 PREP heaven G3772 N-DPM .
