1 আর সদাপ্রভুর এই বাক্য আমার নিকটে উপস্থিত হইল,

2 হে মনুষ্য-সন্তান, তুমি যিরূশালেমের দিকে আপন মুখ রাখ, পবিত্র স্থানের দিকে বাক্য বর্ষণ কর, ও ইস্রায়েল-দেশের বিরুদ্ধে ভাববাণী বল।

3 তুমি ইস্রায়েল-দেশকে বল, সদাপ্রভু এই কথা কহেন, দেখ, আমি তোমার বিপক্ষ; আমি কোষ হইতে আপন খড়্‌গ বাহির করিয়া তোমার মধ্য হইতে ধার্ম্মিক ও দুষ্টকে উচ্ছিন্ন করিব।

4 আমি যখন তোমার মধ্য হইতে ধার্ম্মিক ও দুষ্ট লোককে উচ্ছিন্ন করিব, তখন আমার খড়্‌গ কোষ হইতে বাহির হইয়া দক্ষিণ অবধি উত্তর পর্য্যন্ত সমস্ত প্রাণীর বিরুদ্ধে যাইবে;

5 তাহাতে সমস্ত প্রাণী জানিবে যে, আমি সদাপ্রভু কোষ হইতে আপন খড়্‌গ বাহির করিয়াছি, তাহা আর ফিরিবে না।

6 আর হে মনুষ্য-সন্তান, তুমি দীর্ঘনিঃশ্বাস ত্যাগ কর; কটিদেশ ভাঙ্গিয়া মনস্তাপপূর্ব্বক তাহাদের সাক্ষাতে দীর্ঘনিঃশ্বাস ত্যাগ কর।

7 আর, যখন তাহারা তোমাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করিবে, ‘কেন দীর্ঘনিঃশ্বাস ত্যাগ করিতেছ?’ তখন বলিও, বার্ত্তার নিমিত্ত, কেননা তাহা আসিতেছে; তৎকালে প্রত্যেক হৃদয় গলিয়া যাইবে, প্রত্যেক হস্ত দুর্ব্বল হইবে, প্রত্যেক মন নিস্তেজ হইবে, ও প্রত্যেক জানু জলের মত হইয়া পড়িবে; দেখ, তাহা আসিতেছে, তাহা সফলও হইবে, ইহা প্রভু সদাপ্রভু বলেন।

8 আর সদাপ্রভুর এই বাক্য আমার নিকটে উপস্থিত হইল,

9 হে মনুষ্য-সন্তান, ভাববাণী বল, সদাপ্রভু এই কথা কহেন; তুমি বল, খড়্‌গ, খড়্‌গ, উহা শাণিত ও মার্জ্জিত করা হইয়াছে।

10 উহা শাণিত করা হইয়াছে, যেন সংহার করে; মার্জ্জিত করা হইয়াছে, যেন বিদ্যুতের ন্যায় হয়; তবে আমরা কি আমোদ করিব? আমার পুত্রের রাজদণ্ড প্রত্যেক কাষ্ঠকে তুচ্ছ করে।

11 তাহা মার্জ্জিত হইবার জন্য দেওয়া হইয়াছে, যেন হাত দিয়া ধরা যায়; খড়্‌গ শাণিত ও মার্জ্জিত করা হইয়াছে, যেন হন্তার হস্তে দেওয়া হয়।

12 হে মনুষ্য-সন্তান, ক্রন্দন ও হাহাকার কর, কেননা উহা আমার প্রজাদের বিরুদ্ধে, উহা ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত অধ্যক্ষের বিরুদ্ধে উপস্থিত হইয়াছে; তাহারা আমার প্রজাদের সহিত খড়্‌গে সমর্পিত হইয়াছে; অতএব তুমি আপন ঊরুদেশে আঘাত কর।

13 কারণ পরীক্ষা করা গিয়াছে; সেই তুচ্ছ রাজদণ্ড যদি আর না থাকে, তাহাতে কি? ইহা প্রভু সদাপ্রভু বলেন।

14 অতএব, হে মনুষ্য-সন্তান, তুমি ভাববাণী বল, ও করে করাঘাত কর; সেই খড়্‌গ, আহত লোকদের খড়্‌গ, দুই বরং তিনটী খড়্‌গ হইয়া উঠুক; তাহা আহত মহল্লোকের খড়্‌গ, তাহা চারিদিকে তাহাদিগকে ঘেরিবে।

15 আমি তাহাদিগকে সমস্ত নগর-দ্বারে খড়্‌গের ত্রাস রাখিলাম, যেন তাহাদের অন্তঃকরণ গলিয়া যায়, ও তাহাদের বিস্তর স্খলন হয়। আঃ! তাহা বিদ্যুতের ন্যায় নির্ম্মিত, তাহা হত্যার জন্য শাণিত হইয়াছে।

16 হে খড়্‌গ, একাগ্র হইয়া দক্ষিণদিকে ফির, প্রস্তুত হইয়া বামদিকে ফির; যে দিকে তোমার মুখ রাখা যায়, সেই দিকে গমন কর।

17 আমিও করে করাঘাত করিব, ও আপন ক্রোধ চরিতার্থ করিয়া শান্ত হইব; আমি সদাপ্রভু ইহা কহিলাম।

18 আবার সদাপ্রভুর এই বাক্য আমার নিকটে উপস্থিত হইল,

19 হে মনুষ্য-সন্তান, বাবিল-রাজের খড়্‌গ আসিবে বলিয়া তুমি দুই পথ আঁক; সেই দুই পথ এক দেশ হইতে আসিবে; আর তুমি হস্তাকৃতি এক চিহ্ন খোদ, নগরগামী পথের মস্তকে তাহা খোদ।

20 খড়্‌গের জন্য অম্মোন-সন্তানদের রব্বা নগরগামী এক পথ, ও যিহূদার প্রাচীরবেষ্টিত যিরূশালেম নগরগামী অন্য পথ আঁক।

21 কেননা বাবিল-রাজ মন্ত্রপূত করিবার জন্য দুই পথের সঙ্গমস্থানে, অর্থাৎ সেই দুই পথের মস্তকে, দণ্ডায়মান হইল; সে বাণ সকল সঞ্চালন করিল, ঠাকুরদের কাছে অনুসন্ধান করিল, ও যকৃৎ নিরীক্ষণ করিল।

22 তাহার দক্ষিণদিকে মন্ত্র উঠিল, ‘যিরূশালেম,’ সেই স্থানে প্রাচীরভেদক যন্ত্র স্থাপন করিতে, বধের আজ্ঞা দিতে, উচ্চৈঃস্বরে সিংহনাদ করিতে, নগরদ্বার সকলের বিরুদ্ধে প্রাচীরভেদক যন্ত্র স্থাপন করিতে, জাঙ্গাল বাঁধিতে ও উচ্চ গৃহ প্রস্তুত করিতে হইবে।

23 কিন্তু মন্ত্রটী তাহাদের দৃষ্টিতে অলীক বোধ হইবে; তাহারা উহাদের কাছে পুনঃ পুনঃ শপথ করিয়াছিল; কিন্তু তিনি তাহাদের অপরাধ স্মরণীয় করেন, যেন তাহারা ধৃত হয়।

24 এইজন্য প্রভু সদাপ্রভু এই কথা কহেন, তোমরা আপন আপন অপরাধ স্মরণীয় করিয়াছ, কেননা তোমাদের অধর্ম্ম সকল অনাবৃত হইল, তাই তোমাদের সমস্ত কার্য্যে তোমাদের পাপ প্রকাশিত হয়, তোমরা স্মরণীয় হওয়াতে হস্তে ধৃত হইবে।

25 আর হে আহত দুষ্ট ইস্রায়েল-নরপতি, অন্তক অপরাধের সময়ে তোমার দিন উপস্থিত হইল।

26 প্রভু সদাপ্রভু এই কথা কহেন, উষ্ণীষ অপসারণ কর ও রাজমুকুট দূর কর; যাহা আছে, তাহা আর থাকিবে না; যাহা খর্ব্ব তাহা উচ্চ হউক, ও যাহা উচ্চ তাহা খর্ব্ব হউক।

27 আমি বিপর্য্যয়, বিপর্য্যয়, বিপর্য্যয় করিব; যাহা আছে, তাহাও থাকিবে না, যাবৎ তিনি না আইসেন, যাঁহার অধিকার; আমি তাঁহাকে দিব।

28 আর হে মনুষ্য-সন্তান, তুমি এই ভাববাণী বল, প্রভু সদাপ্রভু অম্মোন-সন্তানদের বিষয়ে ও তাহাদের টিটকারির বিষয়ে এই কথা কহেন; তুমি বল, খড়্‌গ, খড়্‌গ নিষ্কোষিত হইয়াছে, উহা হত্যার নিমিত্ত মার্জ্জিত, যেন গ্রাস করে, যেন বিদ্যুতের ন্যায় হয়।

29 এদিকে লোকেরা তোমার জন্য অলীক দর্শন পায়, ও তোমার জন্য মিথ্যা মন্ত্র পাঠ করে, যেন তোমাকে সেই আহত দুষ্টগণের গ্রীবার উপরে নিপেক্ষ করে, যাহাদের দিন শেষের অপরাধকালে উপস্থিত হইয়াছে।

30 উহা পুনর্ব্বার কোষে রাখ; তুমি যে স্থানে সৃষ্ট ও যে দেশে উৎপন্ন হইয়াছিলে, তথায় আমি তোমার বিচার করিব।

31 আর আমি তোমার উপরে আমার ক্রোধ ঢালিব; আমি তোমার বিরুদ্ধে আমার কোপাগ্নিতে ফুঁ দিব, এবং পশুবৎ ও বিনাশ সাধনে নিপুন লোকদের হস্তে তোমাকে সমর্পণ করিব।

32 তুমি অগ্নির কাষ্ঠস্বরূপ হইবে; তোমার রক্ত দেশের মধ্যে পাতিত হইবে; লোকে তোমাকে আর কখনও স্মরণ করিবে না, কেননা আমি সদাপ্রভু ইহা কহিলাম।

2 Son ^H1121 of man, ^H120 set ^H7760 thy face ^H6440 toward ^H413 Jerusalem, ^H3389 and drop ^H5197 thy word toward ^H413 the holy places, ^H4720 and prophesy ^H5012 against ^H413 the land ^H127 of Israel, ^H3478

3 And say ^H559 to the land ^H127 of Israel, ^H3478 Thus ^H3541 saith ^H559 the LORD; ^H3068 Behold, ^H2009 I am against ^H413 thee , and will draw forth ^H3318 my sword ^H2719 out of his sheath ^H4480 ^H8593 , and will cut off ^H3772 from ^H4480 thee the righteous ^H6662 and the wicked. ^H7563

9 Son ^H1121 of man, ^H120 prophesy, ^H5012 and say, ^H559 Thus ^H3541 saith ^H559 the LORD; ^H136 Say, ^H559 A sword, ^H2719 a sword ^H2719 is sharpened, ^H2300 and also ^H1571 furbished: ^H4803

10 It is sharpened ^H2300 to ^H4616 make a sore slaughter ^H2873 ^H2874 ; it is furbished ^H4803 that ^H4616 it may glitter ^H1961 ^H1300 : should we then ^H176 make mirth ^H7797 ? it contemneth ^H3988 the rod ^H7626 of my son, ^H1121 as every ^H3605 tree. ^H6086

11 And he hath given ^H5414 it to be furbished, ^H4803 that it may be handled ^H8610 ^H3709 : this ^H1931 sword ^H2719 is sharpened, ^H2300 and it ^H1931 is furbished, ^H4803 to give ^H5414 it into the hand ^H3027 of the slayer. ^H2026

12 Cry ^H2199 and howl, ^H3213 son ^H1121 of man: ^H120 for ^H3588 it ^H1931 shall be ^H1961 upon my people, ^H5971 it ^H1931 shall be upon all ^H3605 the princes ^H5387 of Israel: ^H3478 terrors ^H4048 by reason of ^H413 the sword ^H2719 shall be ^H1961 upon ^H854 my people: ^H5971 smite ^H5606 therefore ^H3651 upon ^H413 thy thigh. ^H3409

19 Also, thou ^H859 son ^H1121 of man, ^H120 appoint ^H7760 thee two ^H8147 ways, ^H1870 that the sword ^H2719 of the king ^H4428 of Babylon ^H894 may come: ^H935 both twain ^H8147 shall come forth ^H3318 out of one land ^H4480 H776: ^H259 and choose ^H1254 thou a place, ^H3027 choose ^H1254 it at the head ^H7218 of the way ^H1870 to the city. ^H5892
