1 সদাপ্রভু এই কথা কহেন, স্বর্গ আমার সিংহাসন, পৃথিবী আমার পাদপীঠ; তোমরা আমার জন্য কিরূপ গৃহ নির্ম্মাণ করিবে? আমার বিশ্রাম স্থান কোন্‌ স্থান?
2 এ সকলই ত আমার হস্ত দ্বারা নির্ম্মিত, তাই এই সকল উৎপন্ন হইল, ইহা সদাপ্রভু কহেন। কিন্তু এই ব্যক্তির প্রতি, অর্থাৎ যে দুঃখী, ভগ্নাত্মা ও আমার বাক্যে কম্পমান, তাহার প্রতি আমি দৃষ্টিপাত করিব।
3 যে ব্যক্তি গো হনন করে, সে নরহত্যা করে; যে ব্যক্তি মেষশাবক বলিদান করে, সে কুকুরের গলা ভাঙ্গিয়া ফেলে; যে ব্যক্তি নৈবেদ্য উৎসর্গ করে, সে শূকরের রক্ত দেয়; যে ব্যক্তি সুগন্ধিধূপ জ্বালায়, সে মিথ্যাদেবের ধন্যবাদ করে; হাঁ, তাহারা আপন আপন পথ মনোনীত করিয়াছে, এবং তাহাদের প্রাণ আপন আপন ঘৃণাই বস্তুতে প্রীত হয়;
4 আমিও তাহাদের নানা মায়া মনোনীত করিব, এবং তাহাদের নিজ ত্রাসের বিষয় তাহাদের প্রতি ঘটাইব; কারণ আমি ডাকিলে কেহ উত্তর দিত না, আমি কথা কহিলে তাহারা শুনিত না, কিন্তু আমার দৃষ্টিতে যাহা মন্দ তাহাই সাধন করিত, এবং যাহাতে আমার প্রীতি নাই তাহাই মনোনীত করিত।
5 তোমরা যাহারা সদাপ্রভুর বাক্যে কম্পমান, তোমরা তাঁহার বাক্য শুন; তোমাদের যে ভ্রাতৃগণ তোমাদিগকে ঘৃণা করে, আমার নাম প্রযুক্ত তোমাদিগকে বাহির করিয়া দেয়, তাহারা বলিয়াছে, সদাপ্রভু মহিমান্বিত হউন, যেন আমরা তোমাদের আনন্দ দেখিতে পাই; কিন্তু উহারাই লজ্জিত হইবে।
6 নগর হইতে কলহের রব, মন্দির হইতে রব! উহা সদাপ্রভুর রব, যিনি শত্রুদিগকে অপকারের প্রতিফল দেন।
7 ব্যথা উঠিবার পূর্ব্বে সিয়োন প্রসব করিল; তাহার গর্ভযন্ত্রণার পূর্ব্বে পুত্রসন্তান ভূমিষ্ঠ হইল। এমন কথা কে শুনিয়াছে?
8 এমন কার্য্য কে দেখিয়াছে? এক দিবসে কি কোন দেশের জন্ম হইবে? কোন জাতি কি একেবারেই ভূমিষ্ঠ হইবে? ফলে, গর্ভযন্ত্রণা হইবামাত্র সিয়োন আপন সন্তানগণকে প্রসব করিল।
9 আমি প্রসবকাল উপস্থিত করিয়া কি প্রসব হইতে দিব না? ইহা সদাপ্রভু কহেন। প্রসব হইতে দিতেছি যে আমি, আমি কি গর্ভ রোধ করিব? ইহা তোমার ঈশ্বর কহেন।
10 তোমরা যাহারা যিরূশালেমকে ভালবাস, তোমরা সকলে তাহার সহিত আনন্দ কর, তাহার বিষয়ে উল্লাস কর; তোমরা যাহারা তাহার জন্য শোকান্বিত, তোমরা সকলে তাহার সহিত অতিশয় প্রফুল্ল হও;
11 যেন তোমরা তাহার সান্ত্বনারূপ স্তন চূষিয়া তৃপ্ত হও, যেন তাহাকে দোহন করিয়া তাহার প্রতাপ-বাহুল্যে আমোদিত হও।
12 কারণ সদাপ্রভু এই কথা কহেন, দেখ, আমি তাহার দিকে নদীর ন্যায় শান্তি ও উত্থলিত বন্যার ন্যায় জাতিগণের প্রতাপ বহাইব, তাহাতে তোমরা স্তন্য পান করিবে, কক্ষদেশে করিয়া তোমাদিগকে বহন করা যাইবে, হাঁটুর উপরে নাচান যাইবে।
13 মাতা যেমন আপন পুত্রকে সান্ত্বনা করে, তেমনি আমি তোমাদিগকে সান্ত্বনা করিব; তোমরা যিরূশালেমে সান্ত্বনা পাইবে।
14 এই সকল দেখিলে তোমাদের হৃদয় প্রফুল্ল হইবে, তোমাদের অস্থি সকল নবীন তৃণের ন্যায় সতেজ হইবে; এবং সদাপ্রভুর হস্ত আপন দাসদের পক্ষে আত্মপরিচয় দিবে, আর তিনি আপন শত্রুদের প্রতি কুপিত হইবেন।
15 কারণ দেখ, সদাপ্রভু অগ্নিসহ আগমন করিবেন, তাঁহার রথ সকল ঘূর্ণ্যবায়ুর ন্যায় হইবে; তিনি মহাতাপে আপন ক্রোধ, প্রজ্বলিত অগ্নি দ্বারা আপন ভর্ৎসনা কার্য্যে পরিণত করিবেন।
16 কেননা সদাপ্রভু অগ্নি দ্বারা ও আপন খড়্‌গ দ্বারা সমস্ত মর্ত্ত্যের সহিত আপনার বিবাদ নিষ্পন্ন করিবেন; আর সদাপ্রভু কর্ত্তৃক অনেক লোক নিহত হইবে।
17 যাহারা মধ্যবর্ত্তী এক ব্যক্তির পশ্চাতে পশ্চাতে উদ্যানে যাইবার জন্য আপনাদিগকে পবিত্র ও শুচি করে, শূকরের মাংস, ঘৃণ্য দ্রব্য ও মূষিক খায়, তাহারা একসঙ্গে বিনষ্ট হইবে, ইহা সদাপ্রভু কহেন।
18 আমিই তাহাদের ক্রিয়া ও কল্পনা সকল জানি।সেই সময় উপস্থিত, যখন আমি সর্ব্বজাতীয় ও সর্ব্বভাষাবাদী লোককে সংগ্রহ করিব; তাহারা আসিয়া আমার প্রতাপ দর্শন করিবে।
19 আর আমি তাহাদের মধ্যে এক চিহ্ন স্থাপন করিব; এবং তাহাদের মধ্য হইতে উত্তীর্ণ লোকদিগকে জাতিগণের কাছে, তর্শীশ, পূল ও ধনুর্দ্ধর লূদ, এবং তূবল ও যবনের কাছে, যে দূরস্থ উপকূল সমূহ কখনও আমার খ্যাতি শুনে নাই ও আমার প্রতাপ দেখে নাই, তাহাদের কাছে প্রেরণ করিব; এবং তাহারা জাতিগণের মধ্যে আমার প্রতাপ জ্ঞাত করিবে।
20 আর সদাপ্রভু কহেন, তাহারা সর্ব্বজাতির মধ্য হইতে তোমাদের সমস্ত ভ্রাতাকে সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে নৈবেদ্য বলিয়া অশ্ব, শকট, ডুলি, অশ্বতর ও উষ্ট্রে করিয়া আমার পবিত্র পর্ব্বত যিরূশালেমে আনয়ন করিবে, যেমন ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানগণ শুচি পাত্রে করিয়া সদাপ্রভুর গৃহে নৈবেদ্য আনে।
21 আর আমি তাহাদের মধ্যেও কতক লোককে যাজক ও লেবীয় হইবার নিমিত্ত গ্রহণ করিব, ইহা সদাপ্রভু কহেন।
22 কারণ আমি যে নূতন আকাশমণ্ডল ও নূতন পৃথিবী গঠন করিব, তাহা যেমন আমার সম্মুখে থাকিবে, তেমনি তোমাদের বংশ ও তোমাদের নাম থাকিবে, ইহা সদাপ্রভু কহেন।
23 আর প্রতি অমাবস্যায় ও প্রতি বিশ্রামবারে সমস্ত মর্ত্ত্য আমার সম্মুখে প্রণিপাত করিতে আসিবে, ইহা সদাপ্রভু কহেন।
24 আর তাহারা বাহিরে গিয়া, যে লোকেরা আমার বিরুদ্ধে অধর্ম্ম করিয়াছে, তাহাদের শব দেখিবে; কারণ তাহাদের কীট মরিবে না, ও তাহাদের অগ্নি নির্ব্বাণ হইবে না, এবং তাহারা সমস্ত মর্ত্ত্যের ঘৃণাস্পদ হইবে।
