1 আমার প্রাণ জীবনে ক্লান্ত হইয়াছে; আমি আপন দুঃখের কথা মুক্তকণ্ঠে বলিব, আমি প্রাণের তিক্ততায় কথা বলিব।
2 আমি ঈশ্বরকে বলিব, আমাকে দোষী করিও না; আমার সহিত কি কারণে বিবাদ করিতেছ, তাহা আমাকে জ্ঞাত কর।
3 এটী কি ভাল যে, তুমি উপদ্রব করিবে? তোমার হস্তনির্ম্মিত বস্তু তুমি তুচ্ছ করিবে? দুষ্টগণের মন্ত্রণায় প্রসন্ন হইবে?
4 তোমার চক্ষু কি মাংসময়? তোমার দৃষ্টি কি মর্ত্ত্যের দৃষ্টির ন্যায়?
5 তোমার আয়ু কি মর্ত্ত্যের আয়ুর ন্যায়? তোমার বৎসরসমূহ কি মনুষ্যের দিনসমূহের ন্যায়?
6 সেই জন্য কি আমার অপরাধের অনুসন্ধান করিতেছ, আমার পাপের অন্বেষণ করিতেছ?
7 তুমি ত জান, আমি দুষ্ট নহি, এবং তোমার হস্ত হইতে উদ্ধারকারী কেহ নাই।
8 তোমার হস্ত আমাকে গড়িয়াছে, নিরমিয়াছে, আমার সর্ব্বাঙ্গ সুসংযুক্ত করিয়াছে, তথাপি তুমি আমাকে সংহার করিতেছ।
9 স্মরণ কর, তুমি মৃৎপাত্রের ন্যায় আমাকে গড়িয়াছ, আবার আমাকে কি ধূলিতে লীন করিবে?
10 তুমি কি দুগ্ধের ন্যায় আমাকে ঢাল নাই? ছানার ন্যায় কি আমাকে ঘনীভূত কর নাই?
11 তুমি আমাকে চর্ম্ম ও মাংস পরিহিত করিয়াছ, অস্থি ও শিরা দিয়া আমাকে বুনিয়াছ;
12 তুমি আমাকে জীবনদান ও দয়া করিয়াছ, তব তত্ত্বাবধানে মম আত্মার পালন হইতেছে।
13 তবু এ সমস্তই মনোমধ্যে গুপ্ত করিয়া রাখিয়াছ; আমি জানি, ইহা তোমার মনোরথ।
14 আমি পাপ করিলে তুমি আমার প্রতি লক্ষ্য করিবে, আমার অপরাধ ক্ষমা করিবে না।
15 আমি যদি দুষ্ট হই, আমার সন্তাপ হইবে; যদি ধার্ম্মিক হই, মস্তক তুলিতে পারিব না, আমি অবমাননায় পরিপূর্ণ হইয়াছি, আর আপনার দুঃখ দেখিতেছি।
16 মস্তক তুলিলে তুমি সিংহের ন্যায় আমাকে মৃগয়া করিবে, আবার আমাতে তুমি আপনাকে আশ্চর্য্য দেখাইবে।
17 তুমি আমার বিপরীতে নূতন নূতন সাক্ষী উপস্থিত করিবে, আমার প্রতি আপনার বিরক্তি বাড়াইবে; নূতন নূতন সৈন্যদল আমার প্রতিকূল।
18 কেন আমাকে গর্ভ হইতে বাহির করিয়াছিলে? আমি তথায় প্রাণত্যাগ করিতাম, কাহারও নয়নগোচর হইতাম না।
19 আমি অজাতের ন্যায় থাকিতাম, জঠর হইতেই কবরে নীত হইতাম।
20 আমার দিন কি অল্প নয়? অতএব ক্ষান্ত হও, আমাকে ছাড়, ক্ষণকাল সান্ত্বনা লাভ করি,
21 যে পর্য্যন্ত আমি সেই স্থানে না যাই, যথা হইতে আর ফিরিয়া আসিব না। তাহা তিমিরের ও মৃত্যুচ্ছায়ার দেশ,
22 সেই দেশ ঘোর অন্ধকার, তিমিরময়, তাহা মৃত্যুচ্ছায়াব্যাপ্ত, পারিপাট্য-বিহীন, তথায় দীপ্তি অন্ধকারের সমান।

4 Hast thou eyes H5869 of flesh H1320 ? or H518 seest H7200 thou as man H582 seeth H7200 ?
5 Are thy days H3117 as the days H3117 of man H582 ? are thy years H8141 as man's H1397 days, H3117
6 That H3588 thou inquirest H1245 after mine iniquity, H5771 and searchest H1875 after my sin H2403 ?
7 Thou knowest H1847 that H3588 I am not H3808 wicked; H7561 and there is none H369 that can deliver H5337 out of thine hand H4480 H3027 .
8 Thine hands H3027 have made H6087 me and fashioned H6213 me together H3162 round about; H5439 yet thou dost destroy H1104 me.
9 Remember H2142 , I beseech thee, H4994 that H3588 thou hast made H6213 me as the clay; H2563 and wilt thou bring me into dust again H7725 H413 H6083 ?
10 Hast thou not H3808 poured me out H5413 as milk, H2461 and curdled H7087 me like cheese H1385 ?
11 Thou hast clothed H3847 me with skin H5785 and flesh, H1320 and hast fenced H7753 me with bones H6106 and sinews. H1517
12 Thou hast granted H6213 H5978 me life H2416 and favor, H2617 and thy visitation H6486 hath preserved H8104 my spirit. H7307

14 If H518 I sin, H2398 then thou markest H8104 me , and thou wilt not H3808 acquit H5352 me from mine iniquity H4480 H5771 .
15 If H518 I be wicked, H7561 woe H480 unto me ; and if I be righteous, H6663 yet will I not H3808 lift up H5375 my head. H7218 I am full H7649 of confusion; H7036 therefore see H7200 thou mine affliction; H6040
