1 তোমরা সিয়োনে তূরী বাজাও, আমার পবিত্র পর্ব্বতে সিংহনাদ কর, দেশনিবাসী সকলেই কম্পিত হউক; কেননা সদাপ্রভুর দিন আসিতেছে, হাঁ, সেই দিন সন্নিকট।
2 সে তিমির ও অন্ধকারের দিন, মেঘের ও ঘোর অন্ধকারের দিন, পর্ব্বতগণের উপরে অরুণের ন্যায় তাহা ব্যাপ্ত হইতেছে। বলবতী এক মহাজাতি; তাহার তুল্য জাতি যুগের আরম্ভ অবধি হয় নাই, এবং তাহার পরে পুরুষানুক্রমের বৎসর-পর্য্যায়েও হইবে না।
3 তাহাদের অগ্রে অগ্নি গ্রাস করে, পশ্চাতে বহ্নি-শিখা জ্বলে; তাহাদের অগ্রে দেশ যেন এদনের উদ্যান, তাহাদের পশ্চাতে ধ্বংসিত প্রান্তর, তাহা হইতে রক্ষাপ্রাপ্ত কিছুই নাই।
4 তাহাদের আকার অশ্বগণের আকৃতির ন্যায়, এবং তাহারা অশ্বারোহীদের ন্যায় ধাবমান হয়।
5 তাহাদের লম্ফের শব্দ পর্ব্বতশৃঙ্গের উপরে রথসমূহের শব্দের ন্যায়, নাড়া দগ্ধকারী অগ্নিশিখার শব্দের ন্যায়; তাহারা যুদ্ধার্থে শ্রেণীবদ্ধ বলবতী জাতির তুল্য।
6 তাহাদের সম্মুখে জাতিগণ যন্ত্রণাগ্রস্ত, সকলেরই মুখ কালিমাযুক্ত হয়।
7 তাহারা বীরগণের ন্যায় দৌড়ে, যোদ্ধাদের ন্যায় প্রাচীরে উঠে, প্রত্যেক জন আপন আপন পথে অগ্রসর হয়, আপনাদের মার্গ জটিল করে না।
8 তাহারা এক জন অন্যের উপরে চাপাচাপি করে না; সকলেই আপন আপন মার্গে অগ্রসর হয়, এবং শূলাগ্রের উপরে পড়িলেও ভগ্নপঙ্‌ক্তি হয় না।
9 তাহারা নগরের উপর লম্ফ দেয়, প্রাচীরের উপরে দৌড়ে, গৃহমধ্যে উঠে, চোরের ন্যায় গবাক্ষ দিয়া প্রবেশ করে।
10 তাহাদের সম্মুখে পৃথিবী কাঁপে, আকাশমণ্ডল কম্পমান হয়, চন্দ্র ও সূর্য্য অন্ধকারময় হয়, নক্ষত্রগণ আপন আপন তেজ গুটাইয়া লয়।
11 সদাপ্রভু নিজ সৈন্যসামন্তের অগ্রে আপন রব শুনাইতেছেন; কেননা তাঁহার শিবির অতি মহৎ; কেননা তাঁহার বাক্যসাধক বলবান, কেননা সদাপ্রভুর দিন মহৎ ও অতি ভয়ানক; আর কে তাহা সহ্য করিতে পারে?
12 কিন্তু, সদাপ্রভু বলেন, এখনও তোমরা সমস্ত অন্তঃকরণের সহিত, এবং উপবাস, রোদন ও বিলাপ সহকারে আমার কাছে ফিরিয়া আইস।
13 আর আপন আপন বস্ত্র না ছিঁড়িয়া অন্তঃকরণ চির, এবং আপনাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর কাছে ফিরিয়া আইস; কেননা তিনি কৃপাময় ও স্নেহশীল ক্রোধে ধীর ও দয়াতে মহান্‌, এবং অমঙ্গলের বিষয়ে অনুশোচনা করেন।
14 কে জানে যে, তিনি ফিরিয়া অনুশোচনা করিবেন না, এবং আপনার পশ্চাতে আশীর্ব্বাদ, অর্থাৎ তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে ভক্ষ্য-নৈবেদ্য ও পেয়-নৈবেদ্য, রাখিয়া যাইবেন না?
15 তোমরা সিয়োনে তূরী বাজাও, পবিত্র উপবাস নিরূপণ কর, পর্ব্বদিন ঘোষণা কর;
16 প্রজা লোকদিগকে একত্র কর, পবিত্র সমাজ নিরূপণ কর, প্রাচীনগণকে আহ্বান কর, বালকবালিকাদিগকে ও দুগ্ধপোষ্য শিশুদিগকে একত্র কর; বর আপন বাসরগৃহ হইতে, কন্যা আপন অন্তঃপুর হইতে নির্গত হউক।
17 বারাণ্ডার ও বেদির মধ্যস্থানে সদাপ্রভুর পরিচারক যাজকগণ রোদন করুক, তাহারা বলুক, হে সদাপ্রভু, আপন প্রজাগণের প্রতি মমতা কর, আপন অধিকারের টিটকারির বিষয় করিও না; তাহাদের বিষয়ে জাতিগণকে গল্প করিতে দিও না, লোকবৃন্দের মধ্যে কেন বলা হইবে যে, ‘উহাদের ঈশ্বর কোথায়?’
18 তখন সদাপ্রভু আপন দেশের জন্য উদ্যোগী হইলেন, ও আপন প্রজাদের প্রতি দয়া করিলেন।
19 আর সদাপ্রভু উত্তর দিলেন, আপন প্রজাদিগকে কহিলেন, দেখ, আমি তোমাদের নিকটে শস্য, দ্রাক্ষারস ও তৈল প্রেরণ করিতেছি, তোমরা তাহাতে তৃপ্ত হইবে; এবং আমি জাতিগণের মধ্যে তোমাদিগকে আর টিটকারির পাত্র করিব না।
20 বরং আমি তোমাদের নিকট হইতে উত্তর দেশীয় সৈন্য দূর করিব, এবং তাহাকে শুষ্ক ও ধ্বংসিত দেশে তাড়াইয়া দিব, পূর্ব্ব সমুদ্রের দিকে তাহার অগ্রভাগ, ও পশ্চিম সমুদ্রের দিকে তাহার পশ্চাদ্ভাগ ফেলিয়া দিব; আর তাহার দুর্গন্ধ উঠিবে ও পূতিগন্ধ উঠিবে, কারণ সে মহৎ মহৎ কর্ম্ম করিয়াছে।
21 হে দেশ, ভয় করিও না, উল্লাসিত হও, আনন্দ কর, কেননা সদাপ্রভু মহৎ মহৎ কর্ম্ম করিয়াছেন।
22 হে ক্ষেত্রের পশুগণ, ভয় করিও না, কেননা প্রান্তরস্থ চরাণীস্থান তৃণভূষিত হইতেছে, বৃক্ষ ফলবান্‌ হইতেছে, ডুমুরবৃক্ষ ও দ্রাক্ষালতা আপন আপন বল প্রদান করিতেছে।
23 আর হে সিয়োন-সন্তানগণ, তোমরা উল্লাসিত হও, তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুতে আনন্দ কর, কেননা তিনি তোমাদিগকে যথাপরিমাণে অগ্রিম বৃষ্টি দিলেন, এবং প্রথমতঃ তোমাদের নিমিত্ত অগ্রিম ও উত্তর বর্ষার জল বর্ষাইলেন।
24 এইরূপে খামার সকল শস্যে পরিপূর্ণ হইবে, দ্রাক্ষারস ও তৈলে কুণ্ড সকল উথলিয়া উঠিবে।
25 আর পঙ্গপাল, পতঙ্গ, ঘুর্ঘুরিয়া ও শূককীট— আমি যে নিজ মহাসৈন্য তোমাদের কাছে পাঠাইয়াছি, তাহারা— যে যে বৎসরের শস্যাদি খাইয়াছে, আমি তাহা পরিশোধ করিয়া তোমাদিগকে দিব।
26 তোমরা প্রচুর খাদ্য ভোজন করিয়া তৃপ্ত হইবে, এবং তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর নামের প্রশংসা করিবে, যিনি তোমাদের প্রতি আশ্চর্য্য ব্যবহার করিয়াছেন; আর আমার প্রজাগণ কদাচ লজ্জিত হইবে না।
27 তাহাতে তোমরা জানিবে, আমি ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যবর্ত্তী, এবং আমি তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু, অন্য কেহ নাই, এবং আমার প্রজারা কদাচ লজ্জিত হইবে না।
28 আর তৎপরে এইরূপ ঘটিবে, আমি মর্ত্ত্যমাত্রের উপরে আমার আত্মা সেচন করিব, তাহাতে তোমাদের পুত্রকন্যাগণ ভাববাণী বলিবে তোমাদের প্রাচীনেরা স্বপ্ন দেখিবে, তোমাদের যুবকেরা দর্শন পাইবে;
29 আর তৎকালে আমি দাসদাসীদিগেরও উপরে আমার আত্মা সেচন করিব।
30 আর আমি আকাশে ও পৃথিবীতে অদ্ভুদ লক্ষণ দেখাইব,— রক্ত, অগ্নি ও ধূমস্তম্ভ দেখাইব।
31 সদাপ্রভুর ঐ মহৎ ও ভয়ঙ্কর দিনের আগমনের পূর্ব্বে সূর্য্য অন্ধকার ও চন্দ্র রক্ত হইয়া যাইবে।
32 আর যে কেহ সদাপ্রভুর নামে ডাকিবে, সেই রক্ষা পাইবে; কারণ সদাপ্রভুর বাক্যানুসারে সিয়োন পর্ব্বতে ও যিরূশালেমে রক্ষাপ্রাপ্ত দল থাকিবে, এবং পলাতক সকলের মধ্যে এমন লোক থাকিবে, যাহাদিগকে সদাপ্রভু ডাকিবেন।

18 Then will the LORD H3068 be jealous H7065 for his land, H776 and pity H2550 H5921 his people. H5971
19 Yea , the LORD H3068 will answer H6030 and say H559 unto his people, H5971 Behold, H2009 I will send H7971 you H853 corn, H1715 and wine, H8492 and oil, H3323 and ye shall be satisfied H7646 therewith: H854 and I will no H3808 more H5750 make H5414 you a reproach H2781 among the heathen: H1471
