1 হে উপকূল সকল, আমার সাক্ষাতে নীরব হও; লোকবৃন্দ নূতন বল প্রান্ত হউক; তাহারা নিকটে আইসুক, পরে কথা বলুক; আমরা একত্র হইয়া বিচার করিব।
2 কে পূর্ব্বদিক হইতে এক জনকে উত্তেজিত করিল? তিনি ধর্ম্মশীলতায় তাহাকে ডাকিয়া আপনার অনুগামী করেন; তিনি জাতিগণকে তাহার সম্মুখে দিবেন, রাজগণের উপরে তাহাকে কর্ত্তৃত্ব করাইবেন, তিনি তাহাদিগকে ধূলির ন্যায় তাহার খড়্‌গের সম্মুখে দিবেন, চালিত নাড়ার ন্যায় তাহার ধনুকের সম্মুখে দিবেন।
3 সে তাহাদের পশ্চাৎ ধাবমান হইবে, নিরাপদে অগ্রসর হইবে; যে পথে কখনও পদার্পণ করে নাই। সেই পথে যাইবে।
4 এ সকল কাহার কৃত, কাহার সাধিত? কে পুরুষাবলিকে আদি অবধি আহ্বান করেন? আমি সদাপ্রভু আদি, এবং সেই আমি শেষকালীন লোকদের সহবর্ত্তী।
5 উপকূল সকল দৃষ্টিপাত করিয়া ভীত হইল, পৃথিবীর প্রান্ত সকল ত্রাসযুক্ত হইল; তাহারা নিকটবর্ত্তী হইয়া আসিল।
6 তাহারা প্রত্যেকে আপন আপন প্রতিবাসীর সাহায্য করিল, আপন আপন ভ্রাতাকে কহিল, সাহস কর।
7 শিল্পকর স্বর্ণকারকে আশ্বাস দিল, এবং হাতুড়িতে সমানকারী লোক নেহাইর উপরে আঘাতকারীকে জোড়ের বিষয়ে কহিল, উত্তম হইয়াছে; এবং প্রেক দিয়া প্রতিমাটা দৃঢ় করিল, যেন তাহা না নড়ে।
8 কিন্তু হে আমার দাস ইস্রায়েল, আমার মনোনীত যাকোব, আমার বন্ধু অব্রাহামের বংশ,
9 আমি তোমাকে ধরিয়া পৃথিবীর প্রান্ত হইতে আনিয়াছি, পৃথিবীর সীমা হইতে আহ্বান করিয়া বলিয়াছি, তুমি আমার দাস, আমি তোমাকে মনোনীত করিয়াছি, দূর করি নাই।
10 ভয় করিও না, কারণ আমি তোমার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে আছি; ব্যাকুল হইও না, কারণ আমি তোমার ঈশ্বর; আমি তোমাকে পরাক্রম দিব; আমি তোমার সাহায্য করিব; আমি আপন ধর্ম্মশীলতার দক্ষিণ হস্ত দ্বারা তোমাকে ধরিয়া রাখিব।
11 দেখ, যাহারা তোমার প্রতি কুপিত, তাহারা সকলে লজ্জিত ও বিষণ্ণ হইবে; যাহারা তোমার সহিত বিবাদ করে, তাহারা অবস্তুবৎ হইবে, বিনষ্ট হইবে।
12 যাহারা তোমার সহিত বিরোধ করে, তাহাদিগকে তুমি অন্বেষণ করিবে, কিন্তু দেখিতে পাইবে না; যাহারা তোমার সহিত যুদ্ধ করে, তাহারা অবস্তুবৎ ও অকিঞ্চনবৎ হইবে।
13 কেননা আমি সদাপ্রভু তোমার ঈশ্বর তোমার দক্ষিণ হস্ত ধারণ করিব; তোমাকে বলিব, ভয় করিও না, আমি তোমার সাহায্য করিব।
14 হে কীট যাকোব, হে ইস্রায়েলের নরগণ, ভয় করিও না; সদাপ্রভু কহেন, আমি তোমার সাহায্য করিব; আর ইস্রায়েলের পবিত্রতম তোমার মুক্তিদাতা।
15 দেখ, আমি তোমাকে তীক্ষ্ণ দন্তশ্রেণীবিশিষ্ট শস্যমাড়া নূতন গুঁড়ির ন্যায় করিব; তুমি পর্ব্বতগণকে মাড়িয়া চূর্ণ করিবে, উপপর্ব্বতগণকে ভুষীর সমান করিবে।
16 তুমি তাহাদিগকে ঝাড়িবে বায়ু তাহাদিগকে উড়াইয়া লইবে, ও ঘূর্ণবায়ু তাহাদিগকে ছিন্নভিন্ন করিবে; আর তুমি সদাপ্রভুতে উল্লাস করিবে, ইস্রায়েলের পবিত্রতমের শ্লাঘা করিবে।
17 দুঃখী দরিদ্রগণ জল অন্বেষণ করে কিন্তু জল নাই, তাহাদের জিহ্বা তৃষ্ণাতে শুষ্ক হইয়াছে; আমি সদাপ্রভু তাহাদিগকে উত্তর দিব, আমি ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর তাহাদিগকে ত্যাগ করিব না।
18 আমি বৃক্ষাদিশূন্য গিরিশ্রেণীতে নদনদী, ও সমস্থলীর মধ্যে স্থানে স্থানে উনুই খুলিব; আমি প্রান্তরকে জলাশয় ও শুষ্ক ভূমিকে জলের প্রস্রবণ করিব।
19 আমি প্রান্তরে, এরস, বাবলা, গুলমেঁদি ও তৈলবৃক্ষ রোপন করিব; আমি মরুভূমিতে দেবদারু, তিধর ও তাশূর বৃক্ষ একত্র লাগাইব;
20 যেন তাহারা দেখিয়া জানিয়া, বিবেচনা করিয়া একেবারে নিশ্চয় বুঝিতে পারে যে, সদাপ্রভুর হস্ত এই কার্য্য করিয়াছে, ইস্রায়েলের পবিত্রতম ইহা সৃষ্টি করিয়াছেন।
21 সদাপ্রভু কহেন, তোমরা আপনাদের বিবাদ উপস্থিত কর; যাকোবের রাজা কহেন, তোমরা আপনাদের দৃঢ় যুক্তি সকল নিকটে আন।
22 উহারা সে সমস্ত লইয়া নিকটে আইসুক, যাহা যাহা ঘটিবে, আমাদিগকে জ্ঞাত করুক; পূর্ব্বকার বিষয় কি কি তাহা বল; তাহা হইলে আমরা বিবেচনা করিয়া তাহার শেষ ফল জানিতে পারিব; কিম্বা উহারা আগামী ঘটনা সকল আমাদের কর্ণগোচর করুক।
23 উত্তরকালে কি কি ঘটিবে, তোমরা তাহা জ্ঞাত কর; তাহা করিলে তোমরা যে দেবতা, তাহা বুঝিতে পারিব; হাঁ, তোমরা মঙ্গল কর বা অমঙ্গল কর, তাহাতে আমরা বিস্মিত হইয়া একত্র তাহা নিরীক্ষণ করিব।
24 দেখ, তোমরা অবস্তু ও তোমাদের কার্য্য অকিঞ্চন; যে জন তোমাদিগকে মনোনীত করে, সে ঘৃণার পাত্র।
25 আমি উত্তরদিক্‌ হইতে এক ব্যক্তিকে উত্তেজিত করিলাম, সে উপস্থিত; সূর্য্যোদয়ের দিক্‌ হইতে সে আমার নামে আহ্বান করে; যেমন কেহ কর্দ্দম মর্দ্দন করে, ও কুম্ভকার যেমন মৃত্তিকা দলন করে, তেমনি সে দেশাধ্যক্ষগণকে দলিত করিবে।
26 কে আদি অবধি ইহার সংবাদ দিয়াছে, যাহাতে আমরা জানিতে পারি? কে অগ্রে বলিয়াছে, যাহাতে আমরা বলিতে পারি সে সত্যনিষ্ঠ? সংবাদদাতা ত কেহই নাই; ঘোষণাকারী ত কেহই নাই; তোমাদের বাক্যের শ্রোতা ত কেহই নাই।
27 প্রথমে আমি সিয়োনকে বলিব, দেখ, ইহাদিগকে দেখ; আর যিরূশালেমকে এক জন সুসমাচার-প্রচারক দিব।
28 আমি চাহিয়া দেখি, কেহই নাই; উহাদের মধ্যে মন্ত্রণাদাতা এমন কেহ নাই যে, আমি জিজ্ঞাসা করিলে একটী কথার উত্তর দিতে পারে।
29 দেখ, উহারা সকলে, উহাদের কর্ম্ম সকল অসার, অকিঞ্চন; উহাদের ছাঁচে ঢালা প্রতিমা সকল বায়ু ও অবস্তুমাত্র।
