12. அதன் இலைகள் அழகானதாயும், அதில் பழங்கள் நிறைந்தும் காணப்பட்டன. எல்லோருக்கும் உணவும் அதில் இருந்தது. அதன் கீழே வெளியின் மிருகங்கள் புகலிடமடைந்திருந்தன. அதன் கிளைகளில் ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகளும் குடியிருந்தன. அதிலிருந்து எல்லா உயிரினங்களுக்கும் உணவு கிடைத்தது.

15. ஆனால் அதன் அடிமரத்தையும், வேர்களையும் இரும்பினாலும், வெண்கலத்தினாலும், கலந்து செய்யப்பட்ட சங்கிலியில் கட்டப்பட்டதாய் வயல்வெளியின் புற்தரையில் மீந்திருக்க விட்டுவிடுங்கள்” என்றார். மேலும் அவர், “ ‘வானத்தின் பனியில் நனைந்து, பூமியிலுள்ள மிருகங்களோடு வெளியில் பயிர்களுக்கிடையில் வாழட்டும்.

Now thou H607 , O Belteshazzar H1096 , declare H560 the interpretation H6591 thereof , forasmuch as H3606 H6903 H1768 all H3606 the wise H2445 men of my kingdom H4437 are not able H3202 H3809 to make known H3046 unto me the interpretation H6591 : but thou H607 art able H3546 ; for H1768 the spirit H7308 of the holy H6922 gods H426 is in thee.

19. {தானியேல் கனவை விளக்குதல்} PS அப்பொழுது பெல்தெஷாத்சார் என அழைக்கப்படும் தானியேல், சிறிது நேரம் மிகவும் குழப்பமடைந்து நின்றான். அவனுடைய சிந்தனைகள் அவனுக்குத் திகிலைக் கொடுத்தது. அதைக்கண்ட அரசன், “பெல்தெஷாத்சாரே, இக்கனவினாலோ, அதன் விளக்கத்தினாலோ நீ கலங்கவேண்டாம் என்றான்.” அதற்கு பெல்தெஷாத்சார், “என் தலைவனே இக்கனவு உமது பகைவர்களுக்கும், அதன் விளக்கம் உமது எதிரிகளுக்கும் பலித்திருந்தால் எவ்வளவு நலமாயிருக்குமே!

20. நீர் ஒரு மரத்தைக் கண்டீரே; அது விசாலமானதாயும், வலுவுள்ளதாயும் வளர்ந்தது. அதன் நுனிக்கிளை உலகத்தின் எல்லாப் பகுதிகளிலிருந்தும் காணக்கூடியதாய் ஆகாயத்தைத் தொட்டது.

21. அதோடு இலைகள் அழகானதாயும், அதில் பழங்கள் நிறைந்தும் காணப்பட்டது. அவை எல்லோருக்கும் போதுமான உணவாயும் இருந்தன. வெளியின் மிருகங்களுக்கு அம்மரம் புகலிடம் கொடுத்தது. அதன் கிளைகளில் ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகள் கூடுகட்ட இடமும் இருந்தது.

22. அரசே! நீரே அந்த மரம். நீர் பெரியவராயும், வல்லமையுடையவராயும் ஆகியிருக்கிறீர். உமது மேன்மை ஆகாயத்தைத் தொடும் வரைக்கும் வளர்ந்திருக்கிறது. உம்முடைய ஆளுகை பூமியின் தூரமான பகுதி வரைக்கும் விரிவடைந்திருக்கிறது.

22. It H1932 is thou H607 , O king H4430 , that H1768 art grown H7236 and become strong H8631 : for thy greatness H7238 is grown H7236 , and reacheth H4291 unto heaven H8065 , and thy dominion H7985 to the end H5491 of the earth H772 .

23. “அரசே! பரலோகத்திலிருந்து பரிசுத்த தூதுவன் ஒருவன் இறங்கி வருவதையும் கண்டீர். அவன், ‘இந்த மரத்தை வெட்டி வீழ்த்தி அழித்துப்போடுங்கள்; ஆனால் அதன் அடிமரத்தை இரும்பினாலும், வெண்கலத்தினாலும் கட்டி, புற்தரையில் இருக்கும்படி விடுங்கள். அதன் வேர்களைத் தரையில் விட்டுவிடுங்கள். அவன் ஆகாயத்துப் பனியில் நனையட்டும். அப்படி ஏழு காலங்கள் கடந்துபோகும் வரைக்கும் காட்டு மிருகங்களைப்போல் வாழட்டும் என்றும் சொல்லக்கேட்டீரே.’

And whereas H1768 the king H4430 saw H2370 a watcher H5894 and a holy one H6922 coming down H5182 from H4481 heaven H8065 , and saying H560 , Hew the tree down H1414 H363 , and destroy H2255 it; yet H1297 leave H7662 the stump H6136 of the roots H8330 thereof in the earth H772 , even with a band H613 of H1768 iron H6523 and brass H5174 , in the tender grass H1883 of H1768 the field H1251 ; and let it be wet H6647 with the dew H2920 of heaven H8065 , and let his portion H2508 be with H5974 the beasts H2423 of the field H1251 , till H5705 H1768 seven H7655 times H5732 pass H2499 over H5922 him;

24. “அரசே, விளக்கம் இதுவே; அரசனாகிய என் தலைவருக்கு எதிராக மகா உன்னதமானவர் பிறப்பித்த கட்டளை இதுவே:

25. நீர் மக்கள் மத்தியிலிருந்து துரத்தப்பட்டு, காட்டு மிருகங்களோடு வாழ்வீர். ஆகாயத்துப் பனியில் நனைந்து மாட்டைப்போல் புல்லைத் தின்பீர். மகா உன்னதமானவர் மனிதனுடைய அரசுகளின்மேல் ஆளுபவர் என்பதையும், அவர் விரும்பியவனுக்கே அதைக் கொடுப்பார் என்பதையும் நீர் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்வரைக்கும் ஏழு காலங்கள் உம்மைக் கடந்துபோகும்.

That they shall drive H2957 thee from H4481 men H606 , and thy dwelling H4070 shall be H1934 with H5974 the beasts H2423 of the field H1251 , and they shall make thee to eat H2939 grass H6211 as oxen H8450 , and they shall wet H6647 thee with the dew H4481 H2920 of heaven H8065 , and seven H7655 times H5732 shall pass H2499 over H5922 thee, till H5705 H1768 thou know H3046 that H1768 the most High H5943 ruleth H7990 in the kingdom H4437 of men H606 , and giveth H5415 it to whomsoever H4479 H1768 he will H6634 .

26. ஆயினும், ‘வேர்களோடு அடிமரத்தை விட்டு வை’ என்ற கட்டளையின் விளக்கம் இதுவே: பரலோகமே ஆளுகை செய்கிறது என்பதை நீர் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்போது, உமது அரசு உமக்கே திரும்பிக் கொடுக்கப்படும்.

26. And whereas H1768 they commanded H560 to leave H7662 the stump H6136 of H1768 the tree H363 roots H8330 ; thy kingdom H4437 shall be sure H7011 unto thee , after that H4481 H1768 thou shalt have known H3046 that H1768 the heavens H8065 do rule H7990 .

27. ஆகையால் அரசே, தயவுசெய்து நான் சொல்லும் ஆலோசனையைக் கேளும். நியாயமானவற்றைச் செய்து உமது பாவங்களையும், ஒடுக்கப்பட்டோருக்கு இரக்கம் காட்டி உமது கொடுமைகளையும் அகற்றிவிடும். அதனால் ஒருவேளை உமது வளமான வாழ்வு நீடிக்கலாம் என்றான்.”

27. Wherefore H3861 , O king H4430 , let my counsel H4431 be acceptable H8232 unto H5922 thee , and break H6562 off thy sins H2408 by righteousness H6665 , and thine iniquities H5758 by showing mercy H2604 to the poor H6033 ; if H2006 it may be H1934 a lengthening H754 of thy tranquillity H7963 .

29. பன்னிரண்டு மாதங்களுக்குப் பின்பு ஒரு நாள் அரசன், பாபிலோனின் அரச அரண்மனை மொட்டைமாடியில் உலாவிக்கொண்டிருந்தான்.

30. அப்பொழுது அரசன், “நான் கட்டிய மாபெரும் பாபிலோன் இது அல்லவா! எனது மிகுந்த வல்லமையினால் எனது மாட்சிமையின் மகிமைக்காக எனது அரச குடியிருப்பாக இதைக் கட்டினேன், என தனக்குள் சொல்லிக்கொண்டான்.”

30. The king H4430 spoke H6032 , and said H560 , Is not H3809 this H1668 great H7229 Babylon H895 , that H1768 I H576 have built H1124 for the house H1005 of the kingdom H4437 by the might H8632 of my power H2632 , and for the honor H3367 of my majesty H1923 ?

31. இந்த வார்த்தைகள் அவனுடைய உதட்டில் இன்னும் இருக்கும்போதே பரலோகத்திலிருந்து ஒரு சத்தம் உண்டாகி, “நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் அரசனே, உனக்குத் தீர்ப்பிடப்பட்டது இதுவே: உனது அரச அதிகாரம் உன்னிடமிருந்து இப்பொழுதே பறிக்கப்பட்டுவிடும்.

31. While H5751 the word H4406 was in the king H4430 's mouth H6433 , there fell H5308 a voice H7032 from H4481 heaven H8065 , saying , O king H4430 Nebuchadnezzar H5020 , to thee it is spoken H560 ; The kingdom H4437 is departed H5709 from H4481 thee.

32. நீ மனிதரிடமிருந்து துரத்தப்பட்டு, காட்டு மிருகங்களோடு வாழ்வாய். மாடுகளைப்போல் புல்லைத் தின்பாய். மகா உன்னதமானவர், மனிதர்களின் அரசுகளின்மேல் ஆளுபவர் என்பதையும், தாம் விரும்பியவர்களுக்கு அரசாட்சியைக் கொடுப்பவர் என்பதையும் நீ ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்வரைக்கும் ஏழு காலங்கள் கடந்துபோகவேண்டும் என அச்சத்தம் சொல்வதைக் கேட்டான்.”

And they shall drive H2957 thee from H4481 men H606 , and thy dwelling H4070 shall be with H5974 the beasts H2423 of the field H1251 : they shall make thee to eat H2939 grass H6211 as oxen H8450 , and seven H7655 times H5732 shall pass H2499 over H5922 thee, until H5705 H1768 thou know H3046 that H1768 the most High H5943 ruleth H7990 in the kingdom H4437 of men H606 , and giveth H5415 it to whomsoever H4479 H1768 he will H6634 .

33. உடனடியாக நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரைப் பற்றிச் சொல்லப்பட்டது நிறைவேறியது. அவன் மனிதரிலிருந்து துரத்தப்பட்டு, மாடுகளைப்போல் புல்லைத் தின்றான். அவனுடைய உடல் ஆகாயத்துப் பனியில் நனைந்து அவனுடைய தலைமயிர் கழுகுகளின் இறகுகளைப்போல் வளர்ந்தது. அவனுடைய நகங்கள் பறவையின் நகங்களைப்போல் வளர்ந்தது.

The same hour H8160 was the thing H4406 fulfilled H5487 upon H5922 Nebuchadnezzar H5020 : and he was driven H2957 from H4481 men H606 , and did eat H399 grass H6211 as oxen H8450 , and his body H1655 was wet H6647 with the dew H4481 H2920 of heaven H8065 , till H5705 H1768 his hairs H8177 were grown H7236 like eagles H5403 ' feathers , and his nails H2953 like birds H6853 ' claws .
