அவர்கள் எங்களுக்குச் சொன்னார்கள்;
அவற்றை நாங்கள் எங்கள் காதுகளால் கேட்டிருக்கிறோம்.

நாங்கள் உமது பெயரை என்றென்றும் துதிப்போம்.

9. இப்பொழுதோ நீர் எங்களைப் புறக்கணித்து, சிறுமைப்படுத்திவிட்டீர்;
நீர் எங்கள் இராணுவத்துடன் செல்வதுமில்லை.

10. எங்கள் பகைவருக்கு முன்பாக எங்களைப் பின்வாங்கச் செய்தீர்;
எங்கள் விரோதிகள் எங்களைச் சூறையாடி விட்டார்கள்.

11. செம்மறியாடுகளைப்போல் நீர் எங்களை இரையாகக் விட்டுக்கொடுத்தீர்;
நாடுகளுக்கு மத்தியில் எங்களைச் சிதறடித்தீர்.

11. Thou hast given H5414 us like sheep H6629 appointed for meat H3978 ; and hast scattered H2219 us among the heathen H1471 .

12. நீர் உமது மக்களை மலிவாக விற்றுப் போட்டீர்;
அவர்களை எவ்வித இலாபமுமின்றி விற்றுப்போட்டீரே.

12. Thou sellest H4376 thy people H5971 for naught H3808 H1952 , and dost not H3808 increase H7235 thy wealth by their price H4242 .

13. எங்கள் அயலவருக்கு எங்களை ஒரு நிந்தையாக்கி விட்டீர்;
எங்களைச் சுற்றி இருக்கிறவர்களுக்கு எங்களை இகழ்ச்சியும் ஏளனமும் ஆக்கினீர்.

13. Thou makest H7760 us a reproach H2781 to our neighbors H7934 , a scorn H3933 and a derision H7047 to them that are round about H5439 us.

14. நீர் எங்களைப் நாடுகளுக்கு நடுவில் ஒரு பழமொழியாக ஆக்கினீர்;
மக்கள் கூட்டம் எங்களைப் பார்த்து ஏளனமாய்த் தங்கள் தலையை அசைக்கிறார்கள்.

14. Thou makest H7760 us a byword H4912 among the heathen H1471 , a shaking H4493 of the head H7218 among the people H3816 .

15. நாள்தோறும் நான் அவமானத்தில் வாழ்கிறேன்;
என் முகம் வெட்கத்தினால் மூடப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

15. My confusion H3639 is continually H3605 H3117 before H5048 me , and the shame H1322 of my face H6440 hath covered H3680 me,

16. என்னை நிந்தித்துத் தூஷித்து பழிவாங்கத் துடிக்கும்
பகைவர்களின் நிந்தனைகளினாலேயே வெட்கப்படுகிறேன்.

16. For the voice H4480 H6963 of him that reproacheth H2778 and blasphemeth H1442 ; by reason H4480 H6440 of the enemy H341 and avenger H5358 .

|
17. நாங்கள் உம்மை மறவாமல் இருந்தோம்;
உமது உடன்படிக்கைக்கு உண்மையுள்ளவர்களாய் இருந்தோம்;
ஆனாலும், இவையெல்லாம் எங்களுக்கு நடந்தன.

20. எங்கள் இறைவனின் பெயரை நாங்கள் மறந்திருந்தால்,
அல்லது வேறுநாட்டின் தெய்வமல்லாததை நோக்கி எங்கள் கைகளை நீட்டியிருந்தால்,

21. இறைவன் அதைக் கண்டுபிடியாமல் இருந்திருப்பாரோ?
அவர் இருதயத்தின் இரகசியங்களை அறிகிறவராய் இருக்கிறாரே.

22. ஆனாலும் உமக்காகவே நாங்கள் நாள்முழுதும் மரணத்தை சந்திக்கிறோம்;

23. யெகோவாவே, எழுந்தருளும்! ஏன் நித்திரை செய்கிறீர்?
விழித்துக்கொள்ளும்! எங்களை என்றென்றும் புறக்கணியாதேயும்.

23. Awake H5782 , why H4100 sleepest H3462 thou , O Lord H136 ? arise H6974 , cast H2186 us not H408 off forever H5331 .

24. நீர் ஏன் உமது முகத்தை மறைத்து,
எங்கள் துன்பத்தையும் நாங்கள் ஒடுக்கப்படுவதையும் மறந்துவிடுகிறீர்?
|
24. Wherefore H4100 hidest H5641 thou thy face H6440 , and forgettest H7911 our affliction H6040 and our oppression H3906 ?

25. நாங்கள் தூசியில் தள்ளப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம்;
எங்கள் உடல்கள் தரையோடு ஒட்டியிருக்கிறது.

26. நீர் எழுந்து எங்களுக்கு உதவிசெய்யும்;
