16. And Laban H3837 had two H8147 daughters H1323 : the name H8034 of the elder H1419 was Leah H3812 , and the name H8034 of the younger H6996 was Rachel H7354 .

17. லேயாள் பார்வை குறைந்த கண்களை உடையவள். ராகேலோ நல்ல உடலமைப்பும் அழகும் உடையவள்.

23. ஆனால் அன்று இரவு லாபான், தன் மகள் லேயாளை அழைத்துக் கொண்டுபோய், யாக்கோபிடம் கொடுத்தான். யாக்கோபு அவளுடன் உறவுகொண்டான்.

24. And Laban H3837 gave H5414 unto his daughter H1323 Leah H3812 H853 Zilpah H2153 his maid H8198 for a handmaid H8198 .

25. பொழுது விடிந்ததும், யாக்கோபு தன்னுடன் இருந்தவள் லேயாள் என்பதைக் கண்டான். அப்பொழுது யாக்கோபு லாபானிடம், “எனக்கு நீர் செய்திருப்பது என்ன? நான் ராகேலுக்காக அல்லவோ உம்மிடம் வேலைசெய்தேன்; நீர் ஏன் என்னை ஏமாற்றினீர்?” என்று கேட்டான். PEPS

27. மணமகளுக்குரிய ஏழு நாட்களை நீ நிறைவேற்று. பின்பு உனக்கு இளைய மகளையும் கொடுப்போம், அவளுக்காகவும் இன்னும் ஏழு வருடங்கள் நீ என்னிடத்தில் வேலைசெய்” என்றான். PEPS

28. And Jacob H3290 did H6213 so H3651 , and fulfilled H4390 her H2063 week H7620 : and he gave H5414 him H853 Rachel H7354 his daughter H1323 to wife H802 also.

29. லாபான் தன் வீட்டுப் பணிப்பெண் பில்காளை தன் மகள் ராகேலுக்குப் பணிப்பெண்ணாகக் கொடுத்தான்.

29. And Laban H3837 gave H5414 to Rachel H7354 his daughter H1323 H853 Bilhah H1090 his handmaid H8198 to be her maid H8198 .

30. யாக்கோபு ராகேலுடன் உறவுகொண்டான், யாக்கோபு லேயாளைவிட ராகேலை அதிகமாக நேசித்தான். அவன் ராகேலுக்காக மேலும் ஏழு வருடங்கள் லாபானிடம் வேலைசெய்தான். PS
