Zechariah 2:1 (NASB) New American Standard Bible

1 I raised my eyes and looked; there were four horns.
2 Then I asked the angel who spoke with me what these were. He answered me, "These are the horns that scattered Judah and Israeland Jerusalem."
3 Then the LORD showed me four blacksmiths. And I asked, "What are these coming to do?"
4 And he said, "Here are the horns that scattered Judah, so that no man raised his head any more; but these have come to terrify them: to cast down the horns of the nations that raised their horns to scatter the land of Judah."
5 Again I raised my eyes and looked: there was a man with a measuring line in his hand.
6 "Where are you going?" I asked. "To measure Jerusalem," he answered; "to see how great is its width and how great its length."
7 Then the angel who spoke with me advanced, and another angel came out to meet him,
8 and said to him, "Run, tell this to that young man: People will live in Jerusalem as though in open country, because of the multitude of men and beasts in her midst.
9 But I will be for her an encircling wall of fire, says the LORD, and I will be the glory in her midst."
10 Up, up! Flee from the land of the north, says the LORD; for I scatter you to the four winds of heaven, says the LORD.
11 Up, escape to Zion! you who dwell in daughter Babylon.
12 For thus said the LORD of hosts (after he had already sent me) concerning the nations that have plundered you: Whoever touches you touches the apple of my eye.
13 See, I wave my hand over them; they become plunder for their slaves. Thus you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me.
14 Sing and rejoice, O daughter Zion! See, I am coming to dwell among you, says the LORD.
15 Many nations shall join themselves to the LORD on that day, and they shall be his people, and he will dwell among you, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you.
16 The LORD will possess Judah as his portion of the holy land, and he will again choose Jerusalem.
17 Silence, all mankind, in the presence of the LORD! for he stirs forth from his holy dwelling.
1 I lifted up H5375 mine eyes H5869 CMD-1MS again , and looked H7200 , and behold H2009 IJEC a man H376 NMS with a measuring H4060 line H2256 in his hand H3027 .
2 Then said H559 W-VQY3MS I , Whither H575 ADV goest H1980 thou H859 PPRO-2MS ? And he said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP-1MS me , To measure H4058 Jerusalem H3389 , to see H7200 L-VQFC what H4100 is the breadth H7341 CMS-3FS thereof , and what H4100 is the length H753 thereof .
3 And , behold H2009 IJEC , the angel H4397 that talked H1696 with me went forth H3318 VQPMS , and another H312 AMS angel H4397 W-NMS went out H3318 VQPMS to meet H7125 him ,
4 And said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP him , Run H7323 , speak H1696 VPFC to H413 PREP this H1975 young man H5288 , saying H559 W-VQY3MS , Jerusalem H3389 shall be inhabited H3427 as towns without walls H6519 for the multitude H7230 M-NMS of men H120 NMS and cattle H929 W-NFS therein H8432 :
5 For I H589 W-PPRO-1MS , saith H5002 the LORD H3068 EDS , will be H1961 VQY1MS unto her a wall H2346 of fire H784 CMS round about H5439 ADV , and will be H1961 VQY1MS the glory H3519 in the midst H8432 of her .
6 Ho H1945 , ho H1945 , come forth , and flee H5127 from the land H776 M-NFS of the north H6828 NFS , saith H5002 the LORD H3068 EDS : for H3588 CONJ I have spread you abroad H6566 as the four H702 winds H7307 CFP of the heaven H8064 D-NMD , saith H5002 the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .
7 Deliver thyself H4422 , O H1945 Zion H6726 , that dwellest H3427 with the daughter H1323 CFS of Babylon H894 .
8 For H3588 CONJ thus H3541 saith H559 VQQ3MS the LORD H3068 EDS of hosts H6635 ; After H310 ADV the glory H3519 hath he sent H7971 me unto H413 PREP the nations H1471 D-NMP which spoiled H7997 you : for H3588 CONJ he that toucheth H5060 you toucheth H5060 the apple H892 of his eye H5869 CMS-3MS .
9 For H3588 CONJ , behold H2009 , I will shake H5130 mine hand H3027 CFS-1MS upon H5921 PREP them , and they shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS a spoil H7998 to their servants H5650 : and ye shall know H3045 that H3588 CONJ the LORD H3068 EDS of hosts H6635 hath sent H7971 me .
10 Sing H7442 and rejoice H8055 , O daughter H1323 CFS of Zion H6726 : for H3588 CONJ , lo H2009 , I come H935 , and I will dwell H7931 in the midst H8432 of thee , saith H5002 the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .
11 And many H7227 AMP nations H1471 NMP shall be joined H3867 to H413 PREP the LORD H3068 EDS in that H1931 D-PPRO-3MS day H3117 B-AMS , and shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS my people H5971 : and I will dwell H7931 in the midst H8432 of thee , and thou shalt know H3045 that H3588 CONJ the LORD H3068 EDS of hosts H6635 hath sent H7971 me unto H413 PREP thee .
12 And the LORD H3068 EDS shall inherit H5157 Judah H3063 his portion H2506 in H5921 PREP the holy H6944 land H127 , and shall choose H977 Jerusalem H3389 again H5750 ADV .
13 Be silent H2013 , O all H3605 NMS flesh H1320 NMS , before H6440 M-CMP the LORD H3068 EDS : for H3588 CONJ he is raised up H5782 out of his holy H6944 habitation H4583 .
