2 உன் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் அவர்களை உன் கைவயப்படுத்திய பின்பு நீ அவர்களை முறியடித்து அடியோடு அழிக்கக்கடவாய். அவர்களோடு நீ உடன்படிக்கை செய்துகொள்ளவும் வேண்டாம்; அவர்களுக்கு இரங்கவும் வேண்டாம்.

3 நீ அவர்களோடு மணவுறவு கொள்ளாதே. உன் புதல்வியை அவன் புதல்வனுக்குக் கொடுக்காமலும், உன் புதல்வனுக்கு அவன் புதல்வியைக் கொள்ளாமலும் இருப்பாயாக.

6 உள்ளபடி நீ உன் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவருக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்பட்ட குடியாய் இருக்கிறாய். மண்ணிலுள்ள எல்லா மக்களிலும் உன்னைக் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் தம் சொந்த மக்களாகத் தேர்ந்துகொண்டார்.

7 மக்கள் அனைவரிலும் நீங்கள் திரளான மக்கள் என்பதற்காக ஆண்டவர் உங்களோடு சேர்ந்துகொண்டு உங்களைத் தேர்ந்துகொள்ளவில்லை. உள்ளபடி நீங்கள் மற்றுமுள்ள எல்லா மக்களிலும் கொஞ்சமாகவே இருக்கிறீர்கள்.

11 நீ அனுசரிக்கும் பொருட்டு இன்று நான் உனக்குக் கருத்தாய்க் கற்பிக்கின்ற சட்ட ஒழுங்குகளையும் சடங்கு ஆசாரங்களையும் நீதி முறைமைகளையும் கைக்கொண்டு ஒழுகக்கடவாய்.

14 மற்றுமுள்ள மக்கள் அனைவரையும்விட நீ ஆசீர் பெற்றவனாய் இருப்பாய். உங்களுக்குள்ளேயும் உங்கள் மிருகவுயிர்களுக்குள்ளேயும், ஆணிலேனும் பெண்ணிலேனும் மலடு இராது.

15 ஆண்டவர், நோயெல்லாம் உன்னை விட்டு நீங்கச்செய்வார். உனக்குத் தெரிந்துள்ள எகிப்தியரின் கொடிய நோய்கள் உன் பகைவருக்கு வருமேயன்றி உனக்கு வரா.

16 உன் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் உன் கைவயப்படுத்த இருக்கும் எல்லா மக்களையும் அழிக்கக்கடவாய். உன் கண் அவர்களுக்கு இரங்காதிருப்பதாக, அவர்கள் வணங்கும் கடவுளரை நீ வணங்காதே, வணங்கினால் கெட்டுப்பொவாய்.

20 மேலும், அவர்களில் யார் யார் உனக்குத் தப்பி ஒளிந்து கொண்டிருப்பார்களோ, அவர்களை உன் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் வேரோடு அழித்தொழிக்கும் நாள் வரையிலும் அவர் செங்குளவிகளை அனுப்பி, அவர்களை வதைத்துத் துன்புறுத்துவார்.

21 அவர்களுக்கு அஞ்ச வேண்டாம். ஏனென்றால், உன் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் உன் நடுவிலே இருக்கிறார். அவரோ மகத்துவமும் பயங்கரமுமுள்ள கடவுள்.

25 அவர்களுடைய சித்திரவேலைப்பாடுள்ள விக்கிரகங்களை நெருப்பால் சுட்டெரிக்கக்கடவாய். அவைகள் உன் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவருக்கு அருவருப்பானவைகளாகையால், நீ படுகுழியில் விழாதபடிக்கு, அவைகளில் இருக்கிற வெள்ளியையும் பொன்னையும் விரும்பாமலும், அவற்றில் கொஞ்சமேனும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளாமலும் இருப்பாயாக.
