3 ஆறு நாள் வேலை செய்வீர்கள்; ஏழாம் நாள் சாபத் என்னும் ஓய்வு நாளாகையால் பரிசுத்தமுள்ளதென்று சொல்லப்படும். அதிலே ஒரு வேலையும் செய்ய வேண்டாம். அது உங்கள் உறைவிடங்களிலெல்லாம் ஆண்டவருடைய ஓய்வு நாளாய் இருக்கும்.

4 மேலும், குறித்த காலத்திலே நீங்கள் பரிசுத்தமாய் அனுசரிக்க வேண்டிய ஆண்டவருடைய ஓய்வு நாட்களாவன:

5 முதல் மாதத்தின் பதினான்காம் நாள் மாலை ஆண்டவருடைய பாஸ்கு (எனப்படும் பாஸ்காத் திருவிழாவும்),

6 அம்மாதத்தின் பதினைந்தாம் நாளில் ஆண்டவருடைய புளியாத ( அப்பத் ) திருவிழாவாம். ( அப்போது, ஏழுநாள் புளியாத ( அப்பங்களை ) உண்பீர்கள்.

7 முதல் நாள் உங்களுக்கு மிகச் சிறப்பானதும் பரிசுத்தமானதுமாய் இருக்கும். அதிலே எவ்வித சாதாரண வேளையும் செய்யாமல்.

8 அவ்வேழு நாளும் ஆண்டவருக்குத் தகனப் பலிகளை இடக்கடவீர்கள். ஏழாம் நாளோ மிகச் சிறப்பானதும் பரிசுத்தமானதுமாய் இருக்கும். அன்றும் சாதாரண வேலை ஒன்றும் செய்யலாகாது என்று திருவுளம்பற்றினார்.

9 மீண்டும் ஆண்டவர் மோயீசனை நோக்கி:

10 நீ இஸ்ராயேல் மக்களிடம் சொல்ல வேண்டியதாவது: நாம் உங்களுக்கு அளிக்கவிருக்கும் நாட்டை அடைந்து, அதில் விளைச்சலை அறுக்கும்போது, உங்கள் அறுவடையின் முதற் பலனாகிய கதிர்க் கட்டுகளைக் குருவிடம் கொண்டு வரக்கடவீர்கள்.

13 அதோடுகூட எண்ணெயில் பிசைந்த மிருதுவான மாவில் ஒரு மரக்காலிலே பத்தில் இரண்டு பங்கு ஆண்டவருக்கு நறுமணத்தூப வாசனையாகவும், திராட்சை ரசத்தில் கின் என்னும் அளவிலே நாலில் ஒரு பங்கு பானப் பலியாகவும் படைக்கக்கடவீர்கள்.

14 உங்கள் கடவுளுக்கு மேற்சொன்ன புதுப்பலனை நீங்கள் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கும் நாள்வரை அப்பத்தையோ வறுத்த தானியத்தையோ, அவற்றின் கூழையோ உண்ணாதீர்கள். இது உங்கள் உறைவிடங்களிலெல்லாம் உங்கள் தலைமுறை தோறும் கடைப்பிடிக்கப்பட வேண்டிய நித்திய கட்டளை.

18 அந்த அப்பங்களோடு கூடமறுவற்ற ஒரு வயதுள்ள ஏழு ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளையும், மந்தையில் தெரிந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட ஓர் இளங்காளையையும், இரண்டு ஆட்டுக்கிடாய்களையும் இவைகளுக்கடுத்த பானபோசனப் பலிப்பொருட்களையும் கொண்டு வந்து, ஆண்டவருக்கு விருப்பமான நறுமணமுள்ள பலியாய்ப் படைக்கக்கடவீர்கள்.

19 மேலும் பாவத்திற்குப் பரிகாரமாக ஒரு வெள்ளாட்டுக் கிடாயையும், சமாதானப் பலிக்காக ஒரு வயதுள்ள இரண்டு ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளையும் பலியிடுவீர்கள்.

20 அவைகளைக் குரு ஆண்டவர் திருமுன் புதுப்பலனின் அப்பங்களோடு உயர்த்திய பின், அவைகள் அவருடையவைகளாகும்.

21 நீங்கள் அந்நாளை மிகச் சிறந்ததும் பரிசுத்தமானதுமென்று கொள்ளவேண்டும். அதிலே சாதாரண வேலைகூடச் செய்யாதிருப்பீர்கள். இது உங்கள் உறைவிடங்களிலெல்லாம் தலைமுறை தோறும் கடைப்பிடிக்கப்பட வேண்டிய நித்திய கட்டளை.

22 அன்றியும், நீங்கள் நிலத்திலுள்ள விளைச்சலை அறுக்கும்போது அதைத் தரைமட்டாக அறுக்காமலும், தரையில் சிந்திக்கிடக்கிற கதிர்களைப் பொறுக்காமலும், அவற்றை ஏழைகளுக்கும் அந்நியருக்கும் விட்டுவிடவேண்டும். உங்கள் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் நாமே (என்றருளினார்).

23 மேலும், ஆண்டவர் மோயீசனை நோக்கி:

24 நீ இஸ்ராயேல் மக்களிடம் சொல்ல வேண்டியதாவது: ஏழாம் மாதத்தின் முதல் நாளை ஓய்வு நாளாகக் கொண்டாடுங்கள். அது பரிசுத்த நாளென்று காட்ட எக்காள ஒலி எழுப்புங்கள்.

25 அதிலே சாதாரண வேலை கூடச் செய்யாமல் ஆண்டவருக்குத் தகனப் பலியைச் செலுத்துங்கள் என்றார்.

26 மீண்டும் ஆண்டவர் மோயீசனை நோக்கி:

27 அவ்வேழாம் மாதத்தின் பத்தாம் நாள் பரிகாரத் திருநாள். அது மிகவும் சிறந்த நாள், பரிசுத்த நாளென்று கூறப்படும்; அந்த நாளிலே உடலை ஒறுத்து ஆண்டவருக்குத் தகனப் பலி செலுத்துவீர்கள்.

28 உங்கள் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் உங்களுக்கு உதவியாய் இருக்கும்படி அது இரக்கத்தின் நாளாய் இருப்பதினால், அதில் யாதொரு சாதாரண வேலையும் செய்யவேண்டாம்.

29 அந்நாளிலே தன்னை ஒறுத்தல் செய்யாதவன் தன் இனத்தினின்று விலக்குண்டு போவான்.

30 அந்நாளில் வேலை செய்பவனைத் தன் இனத்திலிருந்து விலக்குண்டு போகும்படி நாம் அழிப்போம்.

31 ஆகையால், நீங்கள் அன்று எந்த வேலையும் செய்யாதிருப்பீர்கள். இது உங்கள் தலைமுறை தோறும் உங்கள் உறைவிடங்களிலெல்லாம் உங்களுக்கு நித்திய கட்டளையாம்.

32 அது உங்களுக்குப் பெரும் ஓய்வு நாள்; அதில் உங்களை ஒறுக்க வேண்டும். அம்மாதத்தின் ஒன்பதாம் நாள் மாலை முதல் மறுநாள் மாலைவரை ஓய்வு நாள் அனுசரிக்கப்படும் என்றார்.

34 நீ இஸ்ராயேல் மக்களிடம் சொல்ல வேண்டியதாவது: இந்த ஏழாம் மாதத்தின் பதினைந்தாம் நாள் முதல் ஏழு நாள்வரை ஆண்டவருக்குப் புகழ்ச்சியாகக் கூடாரங்களில் திருவிழா கொண்டாடக்கடவீர்கள்.

35 முதல் நாள் மிகவும் முக்கியமும் பரிசுத்தமுமாக எண்ணப்படும். அன்று எந்தச் சாதாரண வேலையும் செய்யாதிருப்பீர்கள்.

36 அன்றியும் ஏழு நாளும் ஆண்டவருக்குத் தகனப் பலிகளை ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பீர்கள். எட்டாம் நாளும் மிகமுக்கியமும் பரிசுத்தமுமாகையால், ஆண்டவருக்குத் தகனப்பலியை ஒப்புக் கொடுப்பீர்கள். ஏனென்றால், அன்று மக்கள் அனைவரும் ஒன்றாய்க் கூட வேண்டும். அன்று யாதொரு சாதாரண வேலையும் செய்யலாகாது.

37 இவைகளே ஆண்டவருடைய திருநாட்கள். அவற்றை நீங்கள் மிகவும் சிறந்தனவென்றும், பரிசுத்தமானவை யென்றும் கொண்டு அவற்றின் ஒவ்வொரு நாளுக்கும் உரிய முறைப்படி ஆண்டவருக்குக் காணிக்கை, தகனப்பலி, பான போசனப்பலி முதலியவற்றைச் செலுத்தக் கடவீர்கள்.

38 மேலும், ஆண்டவருடைய சாதாரண ஓய்வு நாட்களில் நீங்கள் வழக்கப்படி செலுத்தி வருகிற மற்ற காணிக்கை, நேர்ச்சை, உற்சாகப் பலிகளையும் வழக்கப்படி (நடத்தி வருவீர்கள்).

39 ஆகையால், நிலத்தின் எல்லாப் பலன்களையும் நீங்கள் சேர்த்து வைத்த பின், ஏழாம் மாதம் பதினைந்தாம் நாள்முதல் ஆண்டவருடைய திருநாட்களை ஏழு நாளும் முறைப்படி கொண்டாடக் கடவீர்கள். அந்தத் திருவிழாவின் முதல் நாளும் எட்டாம் நாளும் உங்களுக்கு முதல் நாளும் எட்டாம் நாளும் உங்களுக்கு ஓய்வு நாளாகும்.

40 முதல் நாளில் மிக அலங்காரமான மரங்களின் கனிகளையும், பேரீச்சங் குருத்துக்களையும், தழைத்திருக்கிற மரங்களின் கிளைகளையும், நீரோடையருகிலுள்ள சாலிஸ் என்னும் மரங்களின் தழைகளையும் கொண்டு வந்து நாட்டி, உங்கள் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் முன்னிலையில் மகிழ்வீர்கள்.

41 ஆண்டுதோறும் ஏழுநாள் அந்தத் திருவிழாவை முறையாய்க் கொண்டாடக் கடவீர்கள். இது உங்கள் தலைமுறைதோறும் அனுசரிக்கப்பட வேண்டிய நித்திய கட்டளை. ஏழாம் மாதத்திலே அந்தத் திருநாட்களைக் கொண்டாட வேண்டும்.

42 ஏழு நாள் தழைப் பந்தல்களில் குடியிருப்பீர்கள். இஸ்ராயேல் இனத்தைச் சார்ந்த எல்லாரும் கூடாரங்களிலேயே தங்கியிருக்க வேண்டும்.

43 இவ்விதம் உங்கள் சந்ததியார், ( ஆண்டவராகிய ) நாம் இஸ்ராயேல் மக்களை எகிப்து நாட்டிலிருந்து மீட்டபோது அவர்களைக் கூடாரங்களில் குடியிருக்கச் செய்தோமென்று அறிந்து கொள்வார்கள். நாம் உங்கள் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் என்றருளினார்.

44 அப்படியே மோயீசன் ஆண்டவருடைய திருநாட்களைக் குறித்து இஸ்ராயேல் மக்களுக்கு அறிவித்தார்.

21 And ye shall proclaim ^H7121 on the selfsame ^H2088 ^D-PMS day ^H3117 ^D-AMS , that it may be ^H1961 ^VQY3MS a holy ^H6944 convocation ^H4744 unto you : ye shall do ^H6213 no ^H3808 ^NADV servile ^H5656 work ^H4399 therein : it shall be a statute ^H2708 forever ^H5769 ^NMS in all ^H3605 ^NMS your dwellings ^H4186 throughout your generations ^H1755 .

27 Also ^H389 ^ADV on the tenth ^H6218 day of this ^H2088 ^D-PMS seventh ^H7637 ^D-ONUM month ^H2320 ^LD-NMS there shall be a day ^H3117 ^NMS of atonement ^H3725 : it shall be ^H1961 ^VQY3MS a holy ^H6944 convocation ^H4744 unto you ; and ye shall afflict ^H6031 your souls ^H5315 , and offer ^H7126 an offering made by fire ^H801 unto the LORD ^H3068 .
