1 सर्वांत प्रथम मी कळकळीने विनंति करतो की, मागण्या, प्रार्थना, विनंत्या व आभारप्रदर्शन सर्व माणसांच्या वतीने करावे.
2 2 आणि विशेषत: राजांच्या वतीने करावे आणि अधिकाऱ्याच्या वतीने करावे. प्रार्थना करा की, आम्हांला स्थिर, शांत आणि देवाच्या पूर्ण भक्तीत सन्मानाने जगता यावे.
3 3 हे आपला तारणारा देव याच्या दृष्टीने चांगले व स्वीकार करण्यास योग्य आहे,
4 4 ज्याला सर्व लोकांचे तारण व्हावे आणि त्यांना सत्य समजावे असे वाटते.
5 5 कारण फक्त एकच देव आहे. आणि देव व मनुष्य यांच्यामध्ये एकच मध्यस्थ आहे: तो म्हणजे ख्रिस्त येशू जो स्वत:मनुष्य होता.
6 6 सर्व लोकांच्या पापांची खंडणी म्हणून त्याने स्वत:ला दिले. अशा प्रकारे देवाच्या योजनेविषयी त्याने योग्य वेळी साक्षा दिली.

9 9 त्याचप्रमाणे, माझी अशी इच्छा आहे की, स्त्रियांनी स्वत:ला साध्यासुध्या वेशाने, नम्रतेने, मर्यादेने, शोभित करावे. त्यांनी वेगळ्या पद्धतीच्या केसरचना करु नयेत. तसेच सोने, किंवा मोती किंवा महाग कपडे वापरु नयेत.
10 10 उलट देवासाठी समर्पित जीवन जगणाऱ्या स्त्रियांनी स्वत:ला चांगल्या कृत्यांनी सुशोभित करणे अगदी योग्य आहे.
11 11 स्त्रीने शांतपणे, पूर्ण अधीनतेने शिकावे.
12 12 मी स्त्रीला शिकविण्याची परवानगी देत नाही किंवा पुरुषावर अधिकार गाजवण्यास परवानगी देत नाही. त्याऐवजी तिने शांत राहावे.
13 13 मी असे म्हणतो, कारण प्रथम आदाम निर्माण करण्यात आला.
