2. உங்கள் புதல்வர்கள் உங்கள் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவருடைய கண்டனைகளையும், அவருடைய மகத்துவங்களையும் வலுத்த கையையும், ஓங்கிய புயத்தையும் கண்டிராமையால், அவர்கள் அறியாதவைகளை நீங்களாவது இன்று ஆராய்ந்துபாருங்கள்.

8. (ஏன் அவ்வாறு செய்தாரென்றால்) நான் இன்று உங்களுக்குக் கற்பிக்கிற எல்லாச் சட்டங்களையும் நீங்கள் கைக்கொண்டொழுகவும், அதன்வழி நீங்கள் புகவிருக்கும் நாட்டை அடையவும் உரிமையாக்கிக் கொள்ளவும்,

9. ஆண்டவர் உங்கள் மூதாதையருக்கும் அவர்களுடைய சந்ததிக்கும் கொடுப்போமென்று ஆணையிட்டு, பாலும் தேனும் பொழியும் நாட்டில் நீங்கள் நீடித்து வாழும்படியாகவுமே அன்றோ ?

10. உண்மையிலே உரிமையாக்கிக் கொள்ளும்படி நீ புகவிருக்கும் நாடு நீ விட்டுவந்த எகிப்து நாட்டைப்போல் அன்று. அங்கே விதை விதைத்த பின்பு தோட்டங்களுக்கு வாய்க்கால்கள் வழியாய் நீர்பாய்ச்சுவது வழக்கம்.

11. இந்த நாடோ மலைகளும் பள்ளத்தாக்குகளும் உள்ள நாடு. அதற்கு வானத்தின் மழையே வேண்டும்.

12. அதை உன் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் எப்பொழுதும் கவனித்து வருகிறார். ஆண்டின் தொடக்க முதல் இறுதிவரை அவருடைய கண்கள் அதன்மேல் வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன.

13. ஆதலால், நான் உங்களுக்கு இன்று கற்பிக்கின்ற கட்டளைகட்கு நீங்கள் பணிந்தவர்களாய், உங்கள் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவரை உங்கள் முழு இதயத்தோடும் முழு ஆன்மாவோடும் நேசித்து ஊழியம் செய்வீர்களாயின்,

14. அவர் உங்கள் நாட்டில் முன்மாரியையும் பின்மாரியையும் பெய்யச் செய்வதனால், நீங்கள் தானியத்தையும் கொடிமுந்திரிப் பழச்சாற்றையும் எண்ணெயையும்,

15. மிருகவுயிர்களுக்காக உங்கள் வெளிகளில் புல்லையும் சம்பாதித்துக்கொண்டு, உண்டு நிறைவு கொள்வீர்கள்.

16. உங்கள் இதயம் வஞ்சிக்கப்பட்டு, நீங்கள் ஆண்டவருக்கு முதுகைக் காட்டிப் பிற தேவர்களுக்குப் பணிந்து ஆராதனை செய்யாதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாய் இருங்கள்.

17. இல்லாவிடில் ஆண்டவர் கோபம் கொண்டு வானத்தை அடைத்து விட்டாலும் விடலாம். அப்பொழுது மாரி பெய்யாமலும் நிலம் பலன்தராமலும் இருக்க, ஆண்டவர் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கவிருக்கும் சிறந்த நாட்டிலிருந்து நீங்கள் விரைவில் அழிந்து போனாலும் போவீர்கள்.

18. நீங்கள் இவ்வாக்கியங்களை உங்கள் இதயங்களிலும் ஆன்மாவிலும் பதித்து, அவைகளை உங்கள் கைகளிலும் அடையாளமாகக் கட்டி, உங்கள் கண்களின் நடுவிலும் தொங்கவிடுங்கள்.

19. நீங்கள் வீட்டில் இருக்கையிலும் வழியில் நடக்கையிலும் படுக்கையிலும் எழும்புகையிலும் அவற்றைத் தியானிக்கச் சொல்லி, உங்கள் புதல்வர்களுக்குக் கற்பியுங்கள்.

19. And ye shall teach H3925 them H853 your children H1121 , speaking H1696 of them when thou sittest H3427 in thine house H1004 , and when thou walkest H1980 by the way H1870 , when thou liest down H7901 , and when thou risest up H6965 .

20. அவற்றை உன் வீட்டு நிலைகளிலும் கதவுகளிலும் எழுதுவாயாக.

21. அவ்வாறு செய்து வந்தால், வானம் நிலத்தின்மேல் இருக்குந்தனையும் நீயும் உன் புதல்வர்களும், ஆண்டவர் உன் மூதாதையருக்குக் கொடுப்போமென்று ஆணையிட்டுச் சொல்லிய நாட்டில் நெடுநாள் வாழ்ந்திருப்பீர்கள்.

22. உள்ளபடி நீங்கள் உங்கள் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவருக்கு அன்பு செய்து, அவருடைய வழிகளிலெல்லாம் நடந்தொழுகி, அவரோடு ஒன்றித்து, நான் உங்களுக்குக் கற்பிக்கிற கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு அனுசரித்து வருவீர்களாயின்,

23. ஆண்டவர் உங்கள் முன்னிலையில் இந்த இனத்தாரையெல்லாம் சிதறடிப்பார். அப்போது நீங்கள் உங்களிலும் பெருத்த மக்களையும் பலத்த இனத்தாரையும் வயப்படுத்துவீர்கள்.

23. Then will the LORD H3068 drive out H3423 H853 all H3605 these H428 nations H1471 from before H4480 H6440 you , and ye shall possess H3423 greater H1419 nations H1471 and mightier H6099 than H4480 yourselves.

24. உங்கள் கால்கள் மிதிக்கும் இடமெல்லாம் உங்களுடையதாய் இருக்கும். பாலைவனமும் லீபானும் யுப்பிரத்தேஸ் மாநதியும் தொடங்கி மேற்கிலுள்ள கடல் வரைக்கும் உங்கள் எல்லைகள் விரியும்.

25. உங்களுக்கு முன் எதிர்த்து நிற்பார் ஒருவருமில்லை. கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் உங்களுக்கு வாக்களித்தபடியே, உங்களால் உண்டாகும் அச்சத்தையும் திகிலையும், நீங்கள் காலாலே மிதக்கும் நாடெல்லாம், அவர் பரவச் செய்வார்.

25. There shall no H3808 man H376 be able to stand H3320 before H6440 you: for the LORD H3068 your God H430 shall lay H5414 the fear H6343 of you and the dread H4172 of you upon H5921 H6440 all H3605 the land H776 that H834 ye shall tread H1869 upon, as H834 he hath said H1696 unto you.

26. இதோ இன்று நான் ஆசீரையும் சாபத்தையும் உங்களுக்கு முன்பாக வைக்கிறேன்.

27. இன்று உங்களுக்குக் கற்பிக்கின்ற உங்கள் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவருடைய கட்டளைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவீர்களாயின் (உங்களுக்கு) ஆசீர் (வரும்).

28. உங்கள் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவரின் கட்டளைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமல், இப்போது நான் உங்களுக்குக் காண்பிக்கிற வழியை விட்டு விலகி, நீங்கள் முன் அறிந்திராத பிற தேவர்களைப் பின்பற்றுவிர்களாயின், (உங்களுக்குச்) சாபம் (வரும்).

28. And a curse H7045 , if H518 ye will not H3808 obey H8085 H413 the commandments H4687 of the LORD H3068 your God H430 , but turn aside H5493 out of H4480 the way H1870 which H834 I H595 command H6680 you this day H3117 , to go H1980 after H310 other H312 gods H430 , which H834 ye have not H3808 known H3045 .

29. நீ குடியிருக்கப் போகிற நாட்டிலே ஆண்டவர் உன்னைப் புகுவித்த பிற்பாடு கரிஸிம் மலையின்மேல் ஆசீரையும் எபால் மலையின்மேல் சாபத்தையும் கூறக்கடவாய்.

And it shall come to pass H1961 , when H3588 the LORD H3068 thy God H430 hath brought thee in H935 unto H413 the land H776 whither H834 H8033 thou H859 goest H935 to possess H3423 it , that thou shalt put H5414 H853 the blessing H1293 upon H5921 mount H2022 Gerizim H1630 , and the curse H7045 upon H5921 mount H2022 Ebal H5858 .

30. அவை யோர்தானுக்கு அப்புறத்தில், சூரியன் மறையும் திசைக்குத் திரும்பும் வழிக்கு அப்பால், கானானையர் குடியிருக்கிற நாட்டு வெளியிலே கல்கலாவுக்கு எதிரே இருக்கின்றன. கல்கலாவோ நெடுந்தூரம் பரந்து கிடக்கின்ற ஒரு பள்ளத்தாக்கின் புகுமுகத்தில் இருக்கிறது.

31. நீங்களோ உங்கள் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கவிருக்கிற நாட்டிலே புகுந்து அதனை உரிமையாக்கிக்கொள்ளும் வண்ணம் யோர்தான் நதியைக் கடந்து போவீர்கள்; அதைக் கைப்பற்றி அதிலே குடியிருப்பீர்கள்.

32. இன்று நான் உங்கள் முன்னிலையில் எவ்விதச் சடங்கு ஆசாரங்களையும் நீதி முறைகளையும் ஏற்படுத்துவேனோ அவைகளை நீங்கள் கைக்கொண்டு நிறைவேற்ற எச்சரிக்கையாய் இருக்கக் கடவீர்களாக.

32. And ye shall observe H8104 to do H6213 H853 all H3605 the statutes H2706 and judgments H4941 which H834 I H595 set H5414 before H6440 you this day H3117 .
