3. ஆண்டவர் செய்த பெரிய சோதனைகளையும், காண்பித்த மகத்தான அடையாளம் முதலிய அற்புத அதிசயங்களையும் கண்டீர்களே.

3. The great H1419 temptations H4531 which H834 thine eyes H5869 have seen H7200 , the signs H226 , and those H1992 great H1419 miracles H4159 :

4. ஆயினும், உணரத்தக்க இதயத்தையும், காணத்தக்க கண்களையும், கேட்கத்தக்க செவிகளையும் ஆண்டவர் இந்நாள் வரையிலும் உங்களுக்குத் தந்தாரில்லை.

6. அப்பொழுது உங்கள் ஆடைகள் பழையதாய்ப் போனதுமில்லை; உங்கள் காலணிகள் பழுதாய்ப் போனதுமில்லை. நீங்கம் அப்பம் உண்டதுமில்லை; கொடிமுந்திரிப் பழச்சாறு முதலிய மதுவைக் குடித்ததுமில்லை.

6. Ye have not H3808 eaten H398 bread H3899 , neither H3808 have ye drunk H8354 wine H3196 or strong drink H7941 : that H4616 ye might know H3045 that H3588 I H589 am the LORD H3068 your God H430 .

7. பிறகு நீங்கள் இவ்விடம் வந்து சேர்ந்தபோது எஸெபோன் அரசனான செகோனும், பாசான் அரசனான ஓகும் நம்மோடு போர்புரியப் புறப்பட்டார்கள். நாமும் அவர்களை முறியடித்து,

7. And when ye came H935 unto H413 this H2088 place H4725 , Sihon H5511 the king H4428 of Heshbon H2809 , and Og H5747 the king H4428 of Bashan H1316 , came out H3318 against H7125 us unto battle H4421 , and we smote H5221 them:

8. அவர்களுடைய நாட்டைப் பிடித்து, ரூபன், காத் கோத்திரங்களுக்கும் மனாசேயின் பாதிக் கோத்திரத்திற்கும் உரிமையாகக் கொடுத்தோம்.

9. ஆகையால், நீங்கள் செய்ய வேண்டியதை அறிந்து செய்யும்படியாக இந்த உடன்படிக்கையின் வார்த்தைகளைக் கவனமாய்க் கேட்டு, அவைகளின்படி நடக்கக் கடவீர்களாக (என்றார்).

10. இன்று உங்கள் கோத்திரத் தலைவர்களும் உங்கள் வம்சங்களும் பெரியோர்களும் அறிஞர்களும், இஸ்ராயேலின் ஆடவர் அனைவரும்,

11. உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளும் மனைவிகளும் விறகுக்காரனும் தண்ணீர்காரனும் நீங்கலாக, உங்கள் பாளையத்திற்குள் இருக்கிற அந்நியனுமாகிய எல்லா மக்களும் உங்கள் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் முன்னிலையில் இருக்கிறார்கள்.

11. Your little ones H2945 , your wives H802 , and thy stranger H1616 that H834 is in H7130 thy camp H4264 , from the hewer H4480 H2404 of thy wood H6086 unto H5704 the drawer H7579 of thy water H4325 :

12. (எதற்கென்றால்) நீ உன் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவருடைய உடன்படிக்கைக்கும், இன்று அவர் உன்னோடு செய்கிற அவருடைய ஆணை உறுதிக்கும் நீ உட்படுவதற்காகவும்,

12. That thou shouldest enter H5674 into covenant H1285 with the LORD H3068 thy God H430 , and into his oath H423 , which H834 the LORD H3068 thy God H430 maketh H3772 with H5973 thee this day H3117 :

13. அவர் உனக்குச் சொன்னபடியும் உன் மூதாதையராகிய ஆபிரகாம் ஈசாக் யாக்கோபு என்பவர்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்டருளியபடியும் உன்னைத் தம் மக்களாக ஏற்படுத்தித் தாம் உனக்குக் கடவுளாக இருப்பதற்காகவுமேயாம்.

13. That H4616 he may establish H6965 thee today H3117 for a people H5971 unto himself , and that he H1931 may be H1961 unto thee a God H430 , as H834 he hath said H1696 unto thee , and as H834 he hath sworn H7650 unto thy fathers H1 , to Abraham H85 , to Isaac H3327 , and to Jacob H3290 .

14. நான் இவ்வுடன் படிக்கையையும் இந்த ஆணையின் உறுதியையும் உங்களோடு மட்டுமல்ல;

14. Neither H3808 with H854 you only H905 do I H595 make H3772 H853 this H2063 covenant H1285 and this H2063 oath H423 ;
|
|
15. இவ்விடத்தில் வந்திருக்கிற அனைவரோடும் இங்கே நம்மோடு இராதவர்களோடேயும் அதைச் செய்கிறோம்.
|

16. உள்ளபடி நாம் எகிப்து நாட்டில் குடியிருந்ததையும் நாம் கடந்துவந்த இடங்களிலிருந்த மக்களின் நடுவில் நடந்து வந்ததையும், அப்பொழுது,
|
16. ( For H3588 ye H859 know H3045 H853 how H834 we have dwelt H3427 in the land H776 of Egypt H4714 ; and how H834 we came H5674 through H7130 the nations H1471 which H834 ye passed by H5674 ;
|
|
17. அவர்களுடைய அருவருப்புகளையும், அவர்கள் கும்பிட்டு ஆராதிக்கிற மரமும் கல்லும் வெள்ளியும் பொன்னுமாகிய நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களையும் நீங்கள் கண்ணாலே கண்டீர்கள்.

17. And ye have seen H7200 H853 their abominations H8251 , and their idols H1544 , wood H6086 and stone H68 , silver H3701 and gold H2091 , which H834 were among H5973 them:)

18. ஆகையால் அந்த மக்களின் தேவர்களை கும்பிடத் தக்கவர்களென்று மதித்து, நம் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவரை விட்டு மறுதலிக்கும் மனத்தையுடைய ஓர் ஆடவனேனும் ஒரு பெண்ணேனும் குடும்பமேனும் வம்சமேனும் உங்களிடையே இராதபடிக்கும், உங்களுக்குள்ளே பித்தையும் கைப்பையும் விளைவிக்கத்தக்க வேர் போன்றவர்கள் இராதபடிக்கும் பார்த்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

Lest H6435 there should be H3426 among you man H376 , or H176 woman H802 , or H176 family H4940 , or H176 tribe H7626 , whose H834 heart H3824 turneth away H6437 this day H3117 from H4480 H5973 the LORD H3068 our God H430 , to go H1980 and serve H5647 H853 the gods H430 of these H1992 nations H1471 ; lest H6435 there should be H3426 among you a root H8328 that beareth H6509 gall H7219 and wormwood H3939 ;

19. சிலவேளை அப்படிப்பட்டவன் இந்த ஆணையுறுதியின் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டபிற்பாடு தன்னைத்தானே நோக்கி: நான் என் மன விருப்பப்படி அக்கிரம வழியில் எவ்வளவு தூரம் நடந்தாலும் எனக்கு இனிப் பயமில்லை என்று வீண் எண்ணம் கொண்டு சொன்னாலும் சொல்லலாம். இது மழைநீரைக் குடிக்க விரும்பும் வேர். வெறிக்கக் குடித்த வேராலே உண்ணப்படுவதற்கு ஒப்பாகும்.

19. And it come to pass H1961 , when he heareth H8085 H853 the words H1697 of this H2063 curse H423 , that he bless himself H1288 in his heart H3824 , saying H559 , I shall have H1961 peace H7965 , though H3588 I walk H1980 in the imagination H8307 of mine heart H3820 , to H4616 add H5595 drunkenness H7302 to H854 thirst H6771 :

20. அப்படிப் பட்டவன்மேல் ஆண்டவர் இரங்கமாட்டார். அவருடைய கோபமும் எரிச்சலும் அவன்மேல் மிகக் கரிய புகையைப் புகைக்கும். இந்நுலில் எழுதப்பட்ட எல்லாச் சாபங்களும் அவன்மேல் விழும். ஆண்டவர் அவனுடைய பெயரை வானத்தின் கீழிருந்து அழித்து விடுவார்.

20. The LORD H3068 will H14 not H3808 spare H5545 him, but H3588 then H227 the anger H639 of the LORD H3068 and his jealousy H7068 shall smoke H6225 against that H1931 man H376 , and all H3605 the curses H423 that are written H3789 in this H2088 book H5612 shall lie H7257 upon him , and the LORD H3068 shall blot out H4229 H853 his name H8034 from under H4480 H8478 heaven H8064 .

21. இந்தத் திருச்சட்ட நூலிலும் உடன்படிக்கையிலும் எழுதியிருக்கிற சாபங்களின்படியே (ஆண்டவர்) அவனை இஸ்ராயேலின் கோத்திரங்கள் எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் புறம்பாக்கி விடுவார்.

21. And the LORD H3068 shall separate H914 him unto evil H7451 out of all H4480 H3605 the tribes H7626 of Israel H3478 , according to all H3605 the curses H423 of the covenant H1285 that are written H3789 in this H2088 book H5612 of the law H8451 :

22. அப்பொழுது உங்களுக்குப் பின் வரும் தலைமுறைப் பிள்ளைகளும், இவர்களிடம் காலப்போக்கிலே பிறக்கும் சந்ததியார்களும் தொலைநாட்டிலிருந்து வரும் அந்நியர்களும் ஆண்டவர் இந்த நாட்டுக்கு வருவித்த வாதைகளையும் நோய்களையும் கண்டு,

22. So that the generation H1755 to come H314 of your children H1121 that H834 shall rise up H6965 after H4480 H310 you , and the stranger H5237 that H834 shall come H935 from a far H7350 land H4480 H776 , shall say H559 , when they see H7200 H853 the plagues H4347 of that H1931 land H776 , and the sicknesses H8463 which H834 the LORD H3068 hath laid H2470 upon it;

23. ஆண்டவர் தம் கோப்த்தின் கடுமையிலே சோதோம், கொமோர், ஆதமா, செபோயீங் என்ற நகரங்களை அழித்துக் கவிழ்த்தது போல், இந்நாட்டின் நிலங்கள் விதைப்பும் விளைவும் இல்லாதிருக்கும்படி அவற்றின்மேல் கந்தகத்தையும் உப்பையும் பெய்வித்துப் பாழாக்கியிருப்பதையும் கண்டு, மக்களனைவரும்:

23. And that the whole H3605 land H776 thereof is brimstone H1614 , and salt H4417 , and burning H8316 , that it is not H3808 sown H2232 , nor H3808 beareth H6779 , nor H3808 any H3605 grass H6212 groweth H5927 therein , like the overthrow H4114 of Sodom H5467 , and Gomorrah H6017 , Admah H126 , and Zeboim H6636 , which H834 the LORD H3068 overthrew H2015 in his anger H639 , and in his wrath H2534 :

24. ஆண்டவர் இந்நாட்டை ஏன் இப்படித் தண்டித்தார் ? மிகவும் எரிச்சலான இந்தக் கோபம் அவருக்கு ஏன் வந்தது என்று வினவ,

24. Even all H3605 nations H1471 shall say H559 , Wherefore H5921 H4100 hath the LORD H3068 done H6213 thus H3602 unto this H2063 land H776 ? what H4100 meaneth the heat H2750 of this H2088 great H1419 anger H639 ?

25. அதற்கு மறுமொழியாக: ஆண்டவர் தங்களை எகிப்து நாட்டினின்று மீட்டபோது தங்கள் மூதாதையரோடு செய்து கொண்ட உடன்படிக்கையை அவர்கள் விட்டுப்போய்,

25. Then men shall say H559 , Because H5921 H834 they have forsaken H5800 H853 the covenant H1285 of the LORD H3068 God H430 of their fathers H1 , which H834 he made H3772 with H5973 them when he brought them forth H3318 H853 out of the land H4480 H776 of Egypt H4714 :

26. தாங்கள் அறிந்திராத, தங்களுக்கு உரிமையில்லாத புற தேவர்களுக்குப் பணிசெய்து அவர்களைத் தொழுதார்கள்.

26. For they went H1980 and served H5647 other H312 gods H430 , and worshiped H7812 them, gods H430 whom H834 they knew H3045 not H3808 , and whom he had not H3808 given H2505 unto them:
|
|
27. அதனால் ஆண்டவர் கோபம் கொண்டு, இந்நூலிலே எழுதப்பட்டுள்ள சாபங்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும் இந்நாட்டின்மேல் வரச்செய்தார்.
|
27. And the anger H639 of the LORD H3068 was kindled H2734 against this H1931 land H776 , to bring H935 upon H5921 it H853 all H3605 the curses H7045 that are written H3789 in this H2088 book H5612 :

|
28. அவர் தம்முடைய கோபத்தினாலும் சீற்றத்தினாலும் எரிச்சலினாலும் அவர்களைத் தங்கள் நாட்டினின்று துரத்திவிட்டு, இந்நாளில் அமைந்திருப்பதுபோல், அவர்களை வெளிநாட்டில் எடுத்தெறிந்துவிட்டார் என்று சொல்லப்படும்.

28. And the LORD H3068 rooted them out H5428 of H4480 H5921 their land H127 in anger H639 , and in wrath H2534 , and in great H1419 indignation H7110 , and cast H7993 them into H413 another H312 land H776 , as it is this H2088 day H3117 .

29. மறைவான காரியங்கள் நம்முடைய கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவருக்கே உரியவை. வெளிப்படுத்தப்பட்டவைகைளோ நாம் இந்நீதி முறைப்படியெல்லாம் நடந்துகொள்ளுமாறு, நமக்கும் நம்முடைய பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் என்றென்றைக்கும் உரியவை.

29. The secret H5641 things belong unto the LORD H3068 our God H430 : but those things which are revealed H1540 belong unto us and to our children H1121 forever H5704 H5769 , that we may do H6213 H853 all H3605 the words H1697 of this H2063 law H8451 .
