KNV   ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಯೋಹಾನನು ತಿನ್ನದೆಯೂ ಕುಡಿಯದೆಯೂ ಬಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು--ಅವನಿಗೆ ದೆವ್ವ ಹಿಡಿದಿದೆ ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ERVKN   ಇಂದಿನ ಜನರು ಮಕ್ಕಳಂತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇಕೆ? ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೋಹಾನನು ಬಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಬೇರೆ ಜನರಂತೆ ಊಟಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ; ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಜನರು, ‘ಅವನಿಗೆ ದೆವ್ವ ಹಿಡಿದಿದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
